Jerry Sharp Memorial Scholarship Application

This scholarship is in memory of Jerry Sharp who promoted motorcycle racing throughout Missouri.

Consideration will be given to financial need and the student’s work and community service record. 

These scholarships will be supplemental for students who have already earned athletic and/or academic scholarships. This scholarship is not automatically renewable, however, students may reapply for subsequent years.

Hear 2 help Scholarship Fund

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide opportunity for a Kansas or Missouri high school graduating senior who is Deaf/hard of hearing to further their education at either a 2 or 4 year college/university or technical program and reach their full potential.

The NIDCD is offering funding to advance HIV/AIDS research, particularly focusing on areas related to communication disorders. This initiative supports low-risk clinical trials and encourages researchers to align their proposals with high priority topics identified by the NIH Office of AIDS Research. Applications must be submitted by the local deadline, with optional Letters of Intent due 30 days prior to the proposal deadline. This opportunity aims to enhance understanding and treatment in this crucial health area.

Helen Anita and William E. Evans, Jr., M.D. Scholarship Fundicate

Dr. Bill, as he was affectionately known, practiced family medicine in the Greater Kansas City area all of his working life. He was ably assisted by his devoted wife (Helen) Anita for most of that time. Since Dr. Bill was a disabled veteran, he had occasion to frequent the VA hospital and held a special place in his heart for numerous employees of the hospital. His burning desire was to reward those special people who had administered to him by setting up this program to offer monetary assistance to their children. The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide scholarships to the children of employees at the Kansas City VA Medical Center who plan to attend summer camp.

Consideration will be given to an applicant’s financial need, extracurricular involvement and past academic performance. Scholarship assistance shall be awarded primarily to applicants who wish to use the assistance to attend a summer camp in the Greater Kansas City area, although camps outside the Kansas City area may also be considered.

Scholarship recipients are required to submit a written reflection following the completion of the camp, which describes his/her experiences and specifically details what the recipient learned from this opportunity.

The scholarship is non-renewable. Previous applicants and past recipients of the scholarship may reapply each year.

CSA Midwest Region: Beth Dunlap Award

 The Midwestern Region presents The Beth Dunlap Award at the Regional Symposium. The award will be offered to a person who has made contributions worthy of the highest commendation and the achievements will have continued importance. Beth Dunlap was one of the founding members of the Midwestern Region. A fashion illustrator and artist, she passed away in 2009.

Mary J. Weber Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Mary J. Weber Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships to high school graduates who intend to further their education at a two-year or four-year college or university or trade/technical school. Preference will be given to graduates of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School in Shawnee Mission, Kansas, and Andale High School in Andale, Kansas. The Fund is established in memory of Mary J. Weber, a 1960 graduate of Andale High School.

Scholarships are not automatically renewable, however scholarship recipients may re-apply in years after their initial receipt of the scholarship.

Kris Paper Legacy Scholarship for Women in Technology Fund

The Kris Paper Legacy Scholarship for Women in Technology Fund provides an annual scholarship to a graduating female high school senior or returning female college student who intends to further their education at a two-year or four-year college or university or at a vocational or technical school who share Kris Paper’s love of technology and will be seeking a degree in a technology related field.

Modern Enigma Society Memorial Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the Modern Enigma Society Scholarship is to provide scholarships to members of the Modern Enigma Society who intend to further their education at a post-secondary institution or trade/vocational school.

Past receipts may reapply for up to three (3) additional years.

Consideration will be given to the applicant’s academic and civic performance, community service record and essay quality. Scholarship recipients are also expected to give back to the community by completing at least eight (8) hours of community service per quarter for one-year after they receive the scholarship. Scholarship recipients are expected to report back to the Advisory Committee of the Fund at least annually about their community service.

Biagioli Family Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist a deserving high school senior in pursuing higher education. The senior student must attend a public high school in the following Missouri counties: Cass, Clay, Jackson or Platte. 

Need will be considered if requested by the applicant.

Kansas Association of Independent Crop Consultants Scholarship Fund

The Kansas Association of Independent Crop Consultants created this scholarship fund to award to a qualified individual majoring in an agricultural field.

The Asian Cultural Council's Graduate Fellowship provides financial support for travel and living expenses to graduate students from Asia studying in the U.S. It offers $15,000 for one academic year, potentially renewable for another year, covering essential costs while pursuing full-time coursework. This initiative fosters international cultural exchange and enhances academic training in the arts. Brandmeyer Scholarship

The Brandmeyer Scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have faced adversity and view education as a tool to help change the trajectory of their lives. Our scholars are seeking a brighter future by continuing their education at a two-year or four-year college or university (pursuing an associate, undergraduate and/or graduate degree) or at a vocational or technical school.

The Brandmeyer Scholarships are renewable provided students maintain a 3.0+ GPA each semester and give back by completing at least 10 hours of community service annually.

William Everett and Mary Ellen Mealman Scholarship

PBI/Gordon Corporation believes a college education is an important investment in the lives of young people. PBI/Gordon Corporation also wishes to honor Everett Mealman for his long-time service to the corporation and Mary Ellen Mealman for her support of Everett in carrying out his duties to the corporation and for her representation of the corporation in various social activities, and it wishes to honor both Everett and Mary Ellen Mealman for their commitment to education, their entrepreneurial spirit, and their steadfast loyalty to the employee-owners of PBI/Gordon Corporation.

The purpose of the Fund shall be to provide scholarships to children or grandchildren of employees of PBI/Gordon who intend to further their education at a two-year or four-year college or university, or a trade or vocational school. Employees are those individuals who are employed full-time at the time of application.

Astronomical Society of Kansas City Astronomy Scholarship Fund

This fund was established by the Astronomical Society of Kansas City to provide academic scholarships to students who have expressed an interest in studying Astronomy, or a related field, and have been accepted into the Department of Physics at University of Missouri-Kansas City. Scholarship support must be used for tuition and/or class-related materials (i.e. textbooks, lab fees, equipment).

The Matthew J. England Scholarship, managed by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, offers a $1,000 award to deserving students pursuing higher education. Applicants must be graduating high school seniors from local schools or homeschooled, have a GPA of 3.5 or above, and demonstrate financial need through FAFSA-SAI. Participation in community service and school activities is required, along with a recommendation letter from a counselor. The scholarship aims to support educational aspirations and foster community engagement.

The Michael Vyrostek Musicians Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, offers a $1,000 scholarship to graduating high school seniors from specific schools in Missouri. Eligible students must have participated in a music program for two of their four high school years and are required to submit an essay and describe their community service. This fund aims to support aspiring musicians in their pursuit of higher education.

The Marketing Platform Development Program by the Missouri Division of Tourism aims to enhance marketing investments for tourism beyond the fiscal year. The Missouri Beef Days Charitable Scholarship Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, offers a $1,000 scholarship for students pursuing degrees in agricultural fields. Eligible applicants must be graduating high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and are required to submit a transcript, an essay, and details about their community service involvement. This initiative helps foster education and community service among future agricultural leaders.

The National Art Shop/Sanders Scholarship, managed by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, awards two $425 scholarships to undergraduate students at Missouri State University-Springfield or Ozarks Technical Community College. Applicants must demonstrate financial need via FAFSA-SAI, describe their work experience, and submit an essay. The scholarship aims to support art majors with a GPA of 2.5 or above, helping them pursue their educational goals.

The Norbertine and John Mais Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, provides a $500 award to a graduating high school senior from specific schools in the region.
