Farley Moody Galbraith Fund

The Farley Moody Galbraith Fund was established by The Farley Moody Galbraith Foundation. Known as a philanthropic leader with a heart for her community, Mrs. Galbraith was an Anniston resident who served on numerous not-for-profit boards. Beyond her service to these organizations she provided generous financial support to not-for-profit organizations that served needy children, disadvantaged youth, and the arts.

Grant Purpose

The purpose of the FMGF is to provide charitable support to a wide variety of charitable needs. Consideration shall be given to Mrs. Galbraith’s historical charitable giving that supported needy children, disadvantaged youth, and the arts.

The Competitive Grants: Cycle 2 by the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham supports nonprofits in Blount, Jefferson, Shelby, and St. Clair Counties. Grants are available for projects focused on Thriving Communities, Equity and Inclusion, and Economic Opportunity. Organizations can apply for one- to three-year funding, with amounts typically ranging from $5,000 to $100,000.
