Women and students of color in New Jersey pursuing construction-related vocational or trade education can receive up to US $2,000 annually for tuition through this scholarship. The Governor’s Industry Vocations Scholarship, funded by the Schools Development Authority and administered by New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, supports eligible programs at community colleges, vocational/technical schools, and proprietary trade schools.

Somerset County Vocational School District in New Jersey can receive up to US $158,500 to provide statewide leadership and state advisors for the SkillsUSA career and technical student organization. With a mission to support academic excellence and career readiness, New Jersey Department of Education funds this continuation grant from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations providing education, human services, or workforce development programs in New Jersey can receive flexible two-year funding for program costs, overhead, equipment, or new initiatives. Provident Bank Foundation offers US $5,000 - US $25,000 to organizations within its branch network, including vocational and trade education and job readiness efforts.

New Jersey vocational and trade education providers serving youth and young adults can access funding through the Office of Faith Based Initiatives to run college and trade readiness programs. Grants up to Up to US $20,000 support activities like application fee subsidies, college tours, trade fairs, internships, and access to apprenticeship or vocational training opportunities.

With a mission to support education, Armstrong County Community Foundation provides New Jersey vocational and trade education programs with scholarship funding for high school seniors pursuing higher education in arts and industrial arts fields. Students focused on drawing, design, architecture, or industrial arts programs may be eligible if they meet the foundation’s specific school and location requirements.

New Jersey local education agencies serving grades 9–12 with state-approved CTE programs can apply for up to US $25,000 to integrate artificial intelligence into career and technical education pathways. With a mission to support vocational and technical education, New Jersey Department of Education provides funding for project-based AI learning, industry partnerships, and CTE staff training.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations in New Jersey focused on vocational and trade education, workforce preparation, and youth career readiness can apply for funding to run skills-building and job-readiness programs. RBC Foundation USA provides support for initiatives that build in-demand skills, offer internships or apprenticeships, and help people bridge education-to-employment pathways in communities where RBC Wealth Management operates.

Eligible New Jersey employers, education providers, workforce intermediaries, nonprofits, and public agencies can receive up to US $15,000 to deliver construction and building trades training and support services for women and minority veterans. The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development funds programs that prepare participants for registered apprenticeships or long-term employment in construction-related occupations.

U.S.-based 501(c)(3) public charities serving adults with workforce development or small business support programs in New Jersey can apply for Truist Foundation grants of more than US $15,000. Truist Foundation provides funding to build career pathways to economic mobility and strengthen racially, ethnically diverse, and women-owned small businesses, which may support vocational and trade education initiatives.

U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits with established adolescent, post-secondary, or adult vocational education or health programs can seek funding to expand proven initiatives, including in New Jersey. The L B Research and Education Foundation provides US $10,000 - US $75,000 grants, favoring small to medium organizations addressing opportunity gaps and serving underserved populations through research-informed, innovative approaches.

New Jersey students enrolled in trade, technical, or vocational programs related to the railway industry can receive US $5,000 scholarships to support post-secondary training. Norfolk Southern Foundation’s Trades on Track SkillPointe Scholarship aids careers such as locomotive engineers, conductors, maintenance, welding, and heavy equipment operation, benefiting those pursuing vocational and trade education.

New Jersey 501(c)(3) nonprofits advancing workforce readiness, income creation, or affordable housing can access funding through Bank of America Charitable Foundation’s Neighborhood Builders Program. Selected organizations receive a multi-year leadership development experience plus a capacity-building grant, which may benefit vocational and trade education, job training, and related economic mobility initiatives in eligible New Jersey markets.

Roche Corporate Donations and Philanthropy (CDP) focuses on impactful projects that foster sustainable development, engage employees, and leverage Roche's expertise. Their philanthropic efforts prioritize humanitarian, educational, environmental, and cultural initiatives, aiming to build stronger communities and support innovative projects. Eligibility is limited to local organizations, while ineligible projects include those with political or religious ties. The foundation strives to create a positive societal impact through collaboration and strategic partnerships.

Lewis G. and Margaret R. Curtis Scholarship

This scholarship has been made possible by the generosity of Lewis and Margaret, who established the Lewis G. and Margaret R. Curtis Scholarship of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County. Margaret Curtis wished to establish two scholarships; one for females pursuing careers in nursing or health care careers and the other for a male pursuing a vocational, technical or trade career scholarship. Mrs. Curtis, a nurse in the area, provided for this fund in her will in memory of her husband and herself. She stated that the income be used to award scholarships in two fields, nursing and vocational training.

Eugene Curfman Foundation Scholarship

The purpose of the Eugene Curfman Foundation Scholarship is to give scholarships to two graduating seniors from either Francis Scott Key High School or a home school program in the Taneytown, Union Bridge, New Windsor areas for college and/or trade school assistance in concentration fields of Accounting; Emergency Service; Cyber Security, and Trades (ie. electrical; plumbing; masonry; HVAC; vehicle mechanics; and building construction). The scholarship will be offered to recipients for additional years based on meeting specified criteria. The scholarship has been established as his way of paying forward his success that was enabled by having received scholarships to attend college.

The money shall be transmitted by the Community Foundation of Carroll County directly to the desired college or university and applied directly to the student's tuition and books. The monies shall not be remitted to the FUND winner.

This scholarship will be offered to recipients on a continuing basis for up to three additional consecutive years (or the completion of the student’s training program, whichever is less) based on maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0 and providing an official transcript to the selection committee.

Rita M Medeiros (Rita's Closet) Scholarship

The purpose of the Rita's Closet Scholarship is to honor the memory of Rita Marie Medeiros by providing scholarship (s) for graduating seniors at any public High School in Carroll County, Maryland, and the Carroll County Career and Technology Center. Because Rita was a very caring friend and spent much of her short life, giving others her time, her friendship and ultimately her organ donor gift, the Rita's Closet Scholarship will be awarded to a graduating student (s) pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited college, university or technical school who meets the criteria established for the fund.

Michael W. Wantz Scholarship

The purpose of the Michael W. Wantz Scholarship is to honor the values, attributes, and dedication of Michael W. Wantz, the diesel teacher at Carroll County Career & Technology Center. This award is to provide scholarships for graduating seniors in Carroll County, Maryland who have attained their secondary-school diploma from the Carroll County Career and Technology Center in Diesel Technology. The scholarships shall be for those students to attend schools of higher learning or a certified program appropriate to enhance their capacities and capabilities in Diesel Technology.

Lee H Madairy Scholarship

The purpose of the Lee H Madairy Scholarship is to honor the life of Lee H. Madairy by providing scholarship(s) for a new or returning college or vocational program student who has shown academic achievement, excellent moral character and is pursuing a career in a STEM field. The successful candidate will have been accepted at an accredited College, University, or vocational program. The amount of money available each year for the scholarship(s) will be determined by the income generated by the fund. In addition, if income in any given year is sufficient, grants for other charitable purposes may be made in Mr. Madairy’s memory.

AWS Distinguished Member Award

The AWS Distinguished Member Award was created to recognize outstanding service and commitment of AWS Members to the Society and the welding industry.

To qualify for Distinguished Member status, applicants must accrue 35 or more points from at least three of the four categories listed on the application form. These include National AWS Leadership, Local AWS Leadership, Professional Development, and AWS Membership Recruitment. Members are invited to nominate an individual by submitting the completed application form to the Director, Membership.

Award recipients will receive an AWS Distinguished Member Award certificate, suitable for framing, a Distinguished Member lapel pin, and recognition in the Welding Journal, as well as in the AWS Awards Directory. Allow three weeks for delivery.

Kiwanis Club of North Modesto

We are a service club of men and women whose primary goal is to help children and young people around the world, starting in Modesto, CA.

Scholarships

The members of the Kiwanis Club of North Modesto (founded in 1966) and the Kiwanis Club of Modesto (founded in 1923) are joining forces to award $2,000 scholarships to as many as 32 students for the 2026-27 academic year. Each year, members of these two clubs perform countless hours of community service through fundraisers, then donate these funds back to nonprofits and young people in our community. It is the hope of the two clubs that scholarship recipients in their adult life will give back to their communities as members of a community service club.

Goals

• To encourage public or private high school graduates (within the boundaries of the Modesto High School District) to pursue education goals, preferably at a California community college, four-year college or university or at a technical/vocational school.

• To recognize academic achievement and to invest in the future of young scholars. 
• To recognize young scholars who have demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism and community service

Ginger D. Schroder Cattaraugus County Legislative District 2 Scholarship

The Ginger D. Schroder Legislative District 2 Scholarship is given to a graduating high school student residing in Cattaraugus County Legislative District 2 who will pursue a trade degree or 2-or 4-year college degree.

Gregory D. Spring Perseverance Scholarship

Established in memory of Gregory D. Spring, this scholarship is for a graduating senior from Allegany-Limestone Central School, Ellicottville Central School, Franklinville/Ten Broeck Academy, Portville Central School, Hinsdale Central School or Olean High School with a preference for a student who intends to pursue a degree or certification in a trade or technical program.

CWI Lifetime Achievement Award

In 2018, the American Welding Society established the AWS Certified Welding Inspector Lifetime Achievement Award to recognize individual members for a career of distinguished service, leadership, outstanding accomplishments, and innovative contributions towards enhancing the image and technology of welding inspection. Individuals receiving the award may be currently working as a CWI or have worked as one in the past.

• Election as a CWI Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is demonstrated as evidenced by:
• Advancements in the field of welding inspection.
• Mentorship of individuals entering the field of welding inspection.
• Effective application of existing and new inspection technology.
• Evidence of participation in activities directly related to the recruitment, training, education and/or mentorship of individuals entering the field of welding inspection.
• This recognition is selected by the AWS CWI Lifetime Achievement Award Committee based on specific criteria.
• Nominations are reviewed/selected during a fall CWI Lifetime Achievement Award Committee meeting with final approval the following year at the spring Districts Council meeting.
• A maximum of 5 recipients are selected each year, as determined by the selection committee.

Elias Eade Jr. Scholarship

This scholarship was created in honor and memory of Elias Eade Jr. by his children. Elias Eade Jr. was a lifetime resident of Olean who faithfully served God, his country, his family and the Olean community. Mr. Eade was a graduate of Olean High School and St. Bonaventure University and a member of the Olean business community for many years. Mr. Eade was an entrepreneur, leader and a man of great strength and integrity with an unprecedented work ethic. Candidates must be a graduating senior of a high school in Cattaraugus County with good academic standing and leadership skills and who plan to continue their education at a trade school or 2- or 4-year college or university. Candidates must answer an essay prompt of their choice from the three prompts provided by the fund advisors.

Illinois Mutual Employees’ Children Scholarship Fund 

The Illinois Mutual Employees’ Children Scholarship Fund was established by Illinois Mutual Life Insurance Company to provide scholarship support for the children of employees who are graduating from high school or are undergraduate college or vocational students who will be enrolled full time.

The MidAmerica National Bank’s Employees Children Scholarship Fund was established in 2005 by MidAmerica National Bank to provide scholarship support to the children of bank employees. It is open to students graduating from high school or currently enrolled in an undergraduate college or vocational program.

Ezekiel Hennessey Mitchel Scholarship Fund

The Ezekiel Hennessey Mitchel Memorial Scholarship is designated for graduating high school seniors from Benton, Polk, Lincoln, and Linn Counties pursuing careers in vocations such as the following:

• Home building trades
• Tile setting
• Carpentry
• General contracting
• Electrical
• Plumbing
• HVAC
• Welding
• Entrepreneurship and/or small business development
• Other trades defined by Benton Community Foundation
