About NASA CTSGC

NASA Connecticut Space Grant Consortium (CTSGC) is a federally mandated grant, internship, and scholarship program that is funded as a part of NASA Education. There are Space Grant Consortia in all 50 states, plus Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico. NASA CTSGC, in an effort to encourage broader participation in NASA research programs, was formed in 1991 by the following post-secondary education institutions: Trinity College, University of Connecticut, and University of New Haven with the University of Hartford as the lead institution.

Community College Scholarship

Student applicants must be full-time students at the time of application at one of the 2-year Community College Consortium Member Institutions with a strong academic record. First-semester students are not eligible to apply as a transcript showing at least one completed semester is required with your application.  

New applicants will be given priority over recent awardees. Students in their final semester are not eligible to apply for scholarships, as awards must be applied to the semester following award. Scholarships may not be applied retroactively.

About the Foundation

The MxCC Foundation Supports CT State Middlesex and Meriden Campuses

The purpose of the Middlesex Community College Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) public charity incorporated in Connecticut, is twofold:

• To support the college and its students by receiving, managing, and distributing funds for scholarships and other educational purposes, and
• To generate and strengthen communication and collaboration between the college and the Foundation and business, industry, professional, civic, and educational leaders in the communities served by the college—all of Middlesex County, Meriden and Wallingford in New Haven County, and Rocky Hill in Hartford County.

Removing financial obstacles that bar or inhibit student access to education is the Foundation’s driving force. Scholarships address not only the growing need for financial assistance, but also our perennial wish to celebrate student achievement.

The MxCC Foundation’s charge is to develop external resources that contribute support to student and academic programs, as well as efforts that foster student success.

Greenberg-Hilsdon Family Annual Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a new or continuing female student with financial need, a minimum GPA of 2.5, and enrolled in business administration, accounting, computer science or a STEM field.

The PLTW Biomedical Science program offers Indiana schools the opportunity to implement new PLTW programs or expand existing ones for the 2026-2027 academic year. Grantees must provide at least one course in the first year and a different course in the following year, with a total grant of $50,000. This grant supports various educational needs while ensuring that funds are allocated effectively to enhance STEM education.

The OVPR Special Research Grants at the University of Texas at Austin offer up to $2,000 for tenured and tenure-track faculty to support specific research projects. Applications will be accepted from September 1, 2025, until August 15, 2026, or until funding is exhausted. These competitive grants are designed for unanticipated costs and are limited to two awards per faculty member in a five-year span. Early submissions enhance funding chances.

The American Research Institute in Turkey and the Türk-Amerikan Ilmi Arastırmaları Derneği are pleased to announce the Ilse Böhlund Hanfmann, George Maxim Anossov Hanfmann, and the Machteld Johanna Mellink Fellowships for 2026. The purpose of these fellowships is to enable nationals of the Republic of Türkiye who are PhD students at Turkish universities working on their PhD theses, or recent PhD holders and currently in Türkiye working towards a career in Türkiye, to conduct research in affiliation with universities or research institutions abroad (in North America or elsewhere) for a period ranging from three to nine months.

The Harris Foundation Grant invites proposals from 501(c)(3) organizations in Oklahoma, focusing on religious, charitable, educational, benevolent, or scientific initiatives. Founded by Vernon V. Harris in 1938, the foundation aims to support public welfare and community service. Preference is given to organizations in Central Oklahoma and Enid. Applicants must submit an online application detailing their funding needs, with decisions communicated following the review of submissions.

The Bernick Family Trades Scholarship, offered by CommunityGiving, aims to support high school seniors pursuing advanced education in technical or community college programs. Ten scholarships of $1,500 each are available. Eligible applicants must live in the Bernick Service Area and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Preference is given to students in fields related to the Bernick business, such as Mechanics, Transportation, and Accounting. This initiative seeks to empower local youth and foster community growth.

The State of Nevada Department of Education is offering a School Garden Grant to support the establishment and upkeep of school gardens in public schools. Funded by Senate Bill 104, this initiative aims to integrate gardens into K-12 STEM curricula, promoting hands-on learning, healthy eating, and community engagement tailored to Nevada's desert environment. Nonprofits can apply for funding to create innovative gardening programs that meet educational standards and foster environmental stewardship.

The Sloan Scholars Program at the University of Montana supports Indigenous graduate students in STEM fields through competitive funding. Established in 2005, it aims to increase the number of Indigenous scholars earning advanced degrees. Students may receive up to $20,000 for master's programs and $40,000 for doctoral programs, along with additional resources such as tuition waivers and mentoring. This initiative enhances educational opportunities and fosters community engagement, contributing to the growth of Indigenous representation in STEM disciplines.

The Lafayette Fellowship, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence, offers funding for one year of master’s study in France to 30 exceptional American students. Open to both Francophone and non-Francophone candidates, the program partners with top French institutions across various fields. Participants engage in the French-American Leadership Program, enhancing transatlantic ties through lectures, mentorship, and cultural immersion, while addressing global challenges in health, technology, and social equity.

The Ragland Family Education Foundation Scholarship offers $20,000 to Oklahoma students pursuing degrees in STEM fields. Renewable for up to four semesters at $5,000 each, this scholarship supports tuition, fees, and related educational expenses. Eligible applicants include high school seniors and college students, provided they maintain a GPA of 2.5 and complete 12 credit hours per semester. The program aims to assist students with limited financial resources in achieving their educational goals.

The McInroy-Sheffer People Trust Scholarship supports students from specific Pennsylvania counties—Cumberland, Dauphin, Lycoming, Tioga, or York—who are graduating high school and planning to enroll as freshmen. Eligible candidates must demonstrate financial need and intend to study at one of several local colleges in fields like Culinary Arts, Nursing, or Business. This scholarship is a one-time award, aiming to assist students in their educational pursuits.

The Joseph A. Coolidge Award provides scholarships and awards for Northeastern University honors students. It supports tuition, global experiences, and research initiatives. Eligible students must be enrolled in a major within the Physical Sciences or Mathematics, demonstrating academic excellence and community involvement. Applications will open in Spring 2026, offering resources to enhance honors studies and foster academic achievement.

The Dawn Foods Foundation Corporate Grants program is dedicated to enhancing community well-being through strategic investments in key areas like hunger prevention, education, community vibrancy, and volunteerism. With a strong commitment to improving lives, the foundation supports initiatives that promote health, literacy, and creative arts, while also encouraging team members to engage in volunteer efforts. Though applications for 2025 are closed, opportunities will reopen in 2026.

The BMS Community Giving program supports IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations addressing unmet medical needs, promoting STEM education, and providing essential services. Eligible organizations must serve communities in the U.S. where BMS employees reside. Applications are accepted year-round, with a recommendation to submit at least eight weeks in advance. The program prioritizes health-related public missions and requests that fit within BMS's therapeutic interests, while excluding political, discriminatory, and sectarian organizations.

The Sloan Indigenous Graduate Partnership (SIGP) Scholarship Program, funded by the A.P. Sloan Foundation, aims to support Indigenous graduate students in STEM fields. This program, a collaboration among the Montana University System institutions, offers scholarships, professional development, and networking opportunities to enhance the academic journey of Indigenous students. With awards of $20,000 for M.S. and $40,000 for Ph.D. candidates, the SIGP seeks to increase the number of Indigenous scholars earning advanced degrees in science and engineering.

The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Bridge to Doctorate Scholars Program, funded by the National Science Foundation, aims to recruit and retain minority graduate students in STEM fields. This program offers significant benefits, including a $32,000 annual stipend and $12,000 educational allowance for two years, fostering a supportive community through monthly dinners for Indigenous graduate students. Eligible applicants must be U.S. citizens, identify as American Indian or Alaska Native, and have participated in an LSAMP program.

The MSU Graduate Teaching Scholarships recognize the vital role graduate students play in undergraduate education by providing financial support for their teaching efforts. Eligible candidates must have a graduate teaching assistantship, complete professional development, and apply before the semester starts. Scholarships range from $250 to $1000, promoting excellence in teaching and enriching the educational experience at Montana State University.

The Graduate Professional Advancement Grant at Montana State University provides funding for graduate students in their 3rd semester or higher to present at professional conferences. This grant encourages scholarly research and supports students by covering travel costs, up to $750. Applications are reviewed monthly on a first-come, first-serve basis, and funding is limited based on availability. Students must be in good standing and have their committee on file to be eligible.

The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation Native American Graduate Fellowship supports graduate students at Montana State University who are enrolled members of a Montana tribe. This fellowship provides funding for one year, with the possibility of renewal for additional years based on eligibility criteria, including a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference is given to applicants with departmental support for a graduate assistantship. This fellowship aims to enhance educational opportunities for Native American students.

The BIE Professional Development Funding for STEM Educators and Students, offered by the Native Forward Scholars Fund, supports training opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) for TCU faculty, staff, and students. This funding assists with costs related to professional development including continuing education, conferences, and certifications. Eligible applicants include educators at BIE-funded or controlled schools, as well as those at institutions with significant Native American populations, fostering increased representation and support for Native scholars.

The BIE Internship Funding for STEM Students, offered by the Native Forward Scholars Fund, provides financial assistance to Native students for approved internships related to STEM. This initiative helps cover costs such as travel, living expenses, and daily commuting, facilitating valuable professional experiences. By supporting these students, the program aims to enhance Native representation in STEM fields and empower future leaders within their communities, contributing positively to society's growth and diversity.

The Dr. Jim and Betsy Bobenhouse Scholarship, established in 2026, supports graduating high school seniors from Lancaster County, Nebraska, who plan to pursue a degree in education or healthcare at a Nebraska college or university. The scholarship aims to encourage students with a GPA of 3.0 or above who are actively involved in extracurricular activities and demonstrate financial need. This initiative reflects the commitment of the Lincoln Community Foundation to foster educational opportunities in the community.

The Silicon Schools Fund Grant supports innovative K-12 education models in California, focusing on empowering students and enhancing teaching through technology. By investing in excellent charter, district, and independent schools, as well as education support providers, the fund aims to create engaging learning environments that prepare students for a rapidly changing world. Their commitment to educational excellence fosters a collaborative approach to developing effective teaching tools and strategies.

The Ralph M. Knight Chemistry & Engineering Scholarship, established in 2010 by Nancy Knight, honors her late husband, Ralph. This scholarship is aimed at full-time seniors in Catholic high schools within the Diocese of Phoenix who are practicing Catholics and U.S. citizens. Awardees receive a one-time $5,000 towards freshman-year tuition at a four-year college or university, provided they major in chemistry or engineering.

The Carol Boughton STEM Scholarship at Montana State University supports undergraduates pursuing degrees in STEM fields. MSU, founded in 1893, is Montana's leading public research university, dedicated to education and community engagement. This scholarship aims to foster innovation and prepare graduates to contribute meaningfully to society, particularly in areas such as engineering, nursing, and the sciences. By investing in students, MSU enhances opportunities for local communities and strengthens the economy.

The DC Department of Parks and Recreation's 'Rec for All - Extended Summer Programming' aims to engage underserved youth aged 10 to 13 through four weeks of enriching activities. This initiative promotes physical wellness, social-emotional growth, and community connections while providing equitable access to recreational opportunities. By offering diverse programs that include arts, technology, and career exploration, the aim is to foster skill development and ensure safe, affordable engagement in summer activities for all eligible participants.
