The PLTW Computer Science - Program Expansion grant from Phillips 66 aims to enhance access to quality education in STEM fields for middle and high school students. This initiative supports schools in expanding their existing PLTW Computer Science programs, particularly in high-need areas starting in the 2026-2027 academic year. Grants of $10,000 are available, prioritizing institutions with significant economic need among students, ensuring future generations are equipped for success in technology and engineering careers.

The PLTW Engineering program, supported by Phillips 66, aims to enhance STEM education in middle and high schools. By providing $30,000 in grants over two academic years, it encourages schools to offer PLTW Engineering courses, fostering skills in students from underserved communities. Eligible schools can receive grants to start or expand their PLTW Gateway programs, ensuring they offer at least two different units over two years. Funding support includes $20,000 to enhance educational resources and training.

The PLTW Gateway Program Expansion, funded by Phillips 66, aims to enhance educational equity by supporting middle schools in STEM. With a total award of $10,000, the initiative focuses on expanding existing PLTW Gateway programs, particularly for schools serving high-need student populations. This partnership encourages a diverse workforce by providing opportunities for girls and people of color, ensuring they explore various STEM pathways during critical developmental years.

The Jon P Nelson Scholarship, administered by the Tulsa Community Foundation, supports students graduating from Oklahoma high schools who are pursuing engineering majors with an energy focus. Established in memory of Jon P. Nelson, a passionate advocate for education and community service, this scholarship prioritizes applicants with financial needs, fostering the next generation of engineers dedicated to making a positive impact in the energy sector.

The Joyce Bright Scholarship Award, established by the Tulsa Community Foundation in 1998, aims to provide financial assistance for higher education to deserving students. Eligible applicants are high school graduates from Tulsa County, Oklahoma, who have demonstrated academic excellence by ranking in the top 3% of their class. This scholarship reflects the Foundation's commitment to empowering local communities and supporting educational aspirations.

The Central States Manufacturing Scholarship Program, managed by the Tulsa Community Foundation, offers education scholarships to dependents of full-time Central States employees. The Empowering YOU Scholarship, launched by the Tulsa Community Foundation in 1998, supports adults pursuing higher education at accredited institutions in the Tulsa area. By providing financial assistance, the scholarship aims to empower these students to thrive and contribute positively to their communities.

Tulsa Community Foundation

TCF is among the nation’s largest community foundations, managing over $6 billion in assets and distributing $300 million or more each year to charities across northeastern Oklahoma and the United States. Established in 1998, TCF assists nonprofit agencies, corporations, individuals and families with flexible charitable giving solutions. TCF delivers easy, low-cost solutions to benefit the community and region.   

Scholarships

Tulsa Community Foundation maintains more than forty scholarship funds, assisting students locally and nationally. The diversity of eligibility criteria for each fund reflects the variety of donor motivations to create or support scholarship funds.

Annually, TCF distributes funds to assist hundreds of students with educational expenses at colleges, universities, vocational-technical schools, and primary and secondary schools.

Invited Scholars Fund

The Invited Scholars Award supports students enrolled in undergraduate, trade or vocational programs at U.S. institutions. 

Scholarship funds at TCF annually provide approximately $20 million in educational aid for students at institutions of higher learning. Each donor or group of donors determines the conditions for which the scholarships are awarded. The diversity of eligibility criteria reflects the variety of donor motivations to create or support scholarship funds.

Pat R. Gereau R.N. Scholarship

Available to students who are in an undergraduate program of study and pursuing a career in nursing at an accredited U.S. college, university, technical program or trade school in Tulsa, Oklahoma area.

Preference is given to organizations that demonstrate a commitment to helping those in need and fostering self-improvement.
