The mission of the Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville is to support donors in mobilizing generosity to improve the quality of life in our community. We know our community is stronger when everyone is given the opportunity to succeed. The focus of the Stronger Together Fund is to support programs that are creating and delivering opportunities for success in our community.

Grantee Responsibilities:

• Successful grantees will be required to sign a Grant Agreement prior to receiving funding. The Grantee must also report back on the use of the grant funding and what measurable outcomes were achieved as a result of the funded project.

Farley Moody Galbraith Fund

The Farley Moody Galbraith Fund was established by The Farley Moody Galbraith Foundation. Known as a philanthropic leader with a heart for her community, Mrs. Galbraith was an Anniston resident who served on numerous not-for-profit boards. Beyond her service to these organizations she provided generous financial support to not-for-profit organizations that served needy children, disadvantaged youth, and the arts.

Grant Purpose

The purpose of the FMGF is to provide charitable support to a wide variety of charitable needs. Consideration shall be given to Mrs. Galbraith’s historical charitable giving that supported needy children, disadvantaged youth, and the arts.

The J.L. Bedsole Foundation Grant aims to enhance the quality of life for citizens in Southwest Alabama by supporting educational opportunities, cultural initiatives, and community development. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that propose projects addressing education, health, arts, and community needs.
