The next nomination period begins in early 2026, following a closed cycle for 2025. This initiative fosters long-term civic infrastructure and community resilience.

The Daniel P. Amos Family Foundation Grant aims to glorify God by supporting charitable organizations that improve community conditions. It prioritizes grants for 501(c)(3) organizations within specific counties in West Central Georgia and Russell County, Alabama. The foundation seeks effective, collaborative organizations that adhere to best practices and demonstrate sustainability. As a family-operated foundation, it focuses on creating meaningful, long-term impacts in various areas including animal welfare, education, and disaster relief. Organizations eligible for funding must be 501(c)(3) public charities. The foundation prioritizes fiscally responsible projects with the potential for tangible results, while not supporting capital projects.

Enterprise Community Partners is a national nonprofit that exists to make a good home possible for the millions of families without one. National Housing Innovation Grant Competition

Home is foundational. It’s where we plant roots, raise and care for our families, and build community bonds. Yet in every corner of the country, millions of people of all ages and backgrounds need a home they can afford.

Wells Fargo is meeting this moment with a powerful grant opportunity. Together with Enterprise, Wells Fargo has launched the third iteration of the Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge. The 2026 cycle of the housing innovation competition will identify and propel proven, ready-to-scale solutions that transform current practices and increase housing choice and access.

Eligible applicants will compete for five individual grants of $2 million to advance their innovation and drive meaningful, systems-level change in the housing and adjacent industries. Winners will gain access to mentorship and coaching from industry leaders and experts and join a powerful network of Breakthrough Challenge innovators.

Focus Areas

This third cycle of the Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge aims to meet the nation’s affordable housing challenges across all types of communities: Native, rural, suburban, tribal, and urban.

Proposals must encompass one or more of three focus areas:

• Design and Construction
• Finance
• Service Delivery and Programs

Applicants will be asked to show how their proof of concept or pilot program has achieved clear outcomes and success, and provide a clear pathway to expanding the innovation’s reach and impact

Round 1: Criteria and Scoring

Type of Community

Location

Priority scoring will be given to applications from entities that are based in – or whose innovations are designed for – one or more of these 28 states, plus D.C.:

Affordability

Innovations must serve residents at these income levels:

• Rental: 80% AMI or below
• Homeownership: 120% AMI or below
• Workforce housing: 120% AMI or below

The Southern SARE program is inviting pre-proposals for innovative Systems Research Projects and Education Activities that promote sustainable agriculture. With funding ranging from $50,000 to $400,000, this initiative aims to address pressing agricultural issues in the Southern region, including Alabama, Florida, and Texas. Proposals should align with the objectives outlined in the 1990 Farm Bill, focusing on enhancing environmental quality, economic viability, and quality of life in farming communities.

The Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation is launching its 2024 Community Impact Award cycle, providing up to $10,000 in Operational Support to 501(c)3 organizations serving Camden, Glynn, and McIntosh Counties. The application period runs from May 30 to June 15, with awards announced in mid-October. This year's cycle emphasizes transparency and equity, featuring new guidelines developed in consultation with the Community Impact Committee to aid local non-profits.

The FFLF Pearl Investment Initiative Grant, offered by the Friends For Life Foundation, Inc., aims to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged residents in North Fulton, Georgia. The grant supports community-driven projects that empower individuals through education, health, and family initiatives. Non-profit organizations and government entities are eligible to apply, provided they demonstrate the capacity to effectively implement their proposed projects. The next application cycle opens in May 2025.

The Community Foundation for the CSRA offers funding to support charitable organizations in Georgia and South Carolina. With a focus on arts, education, health, and services for people in need, the foundation encourages innovative proposals. Grants may reach up to $15,000, supporting impactful community initiatives. Organizations must demonstrate long-term benefits and meet specific eligibility criteria, ensuring funds are used effectively to enhance community welfare and quality of life for residents.

The Wild East Action Fund aims to enhance community resilience and conservation efforts within the Appalachian Trail landscape. It supports projects that address climate change impacts and foster recovery through community-driven initiatives. Eligible organizations can apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $400,000, focusing on land protection, conservation planning, and community support. Special consideration is given to projects addressing the immediate recovery from Hurricane Helene, promoting sustainable practices and strengthening community bonds.

The Wild East Action Fund, administered by the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, provides competitive grants to support conservation projects in the Appalachian Trail landscape. With up to $400,000 available, the fund prioritizes community-driven conservation strategies, emphasizing land protection, conservation planning, and community resilience. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations and government entities within the A.T. landscape, aiming to enhance climate resilience and promote public access to recreational opportunities.

The Cross-Sector Impact Grants by South Arts aim to enhance community vitality through artistic collaborations focused on health and wellness. Grants up to $15,000 support projects that bridge arts with sectors like health, emphasizing partnerships between artists and organizations. Eligible projects must include public activities to foster community engagement and creativity. This initiative prioritizes diverse representation, particularly from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ led organizations, and aims to reach rural and underserved communities.

The Betty and Davis Fitzgerald Foundation Grant aims to enhance education and mental health access for low-income families in the 21-county Metro Atlanta area. The foundation focuses on supporting organizations that strengthen talent pipelines and promote systemic solutions. With four grant cycles annually, applications are accepted year-round, and the foundation prioritizes initiatives that foster equity and collaboration, benefiting historically marginalized communities. This commitment drives their funding strategy and helps ensure effective resource allocation.

The North Georgia Community Foundation offers the NGCF Community Grant Program, which provides funding between $500 and $25,000 to 501(c)(3) nonprofits in North Georgia. Eligible organizations can apply for operational or programmatic grants, but must submit a detailed application and budget. Recipients of Community Grants can also apply for other NGCF funding in the same year. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of life in the region through various community-focused projects.

The CFNGA Catholic Community Grants support nonprofits, parishes, and Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Atlanta. These grants are funded through endowments specifically established for grant-giving, with amounts varying by cycle. Non-Catholic organizations can apply if their mission aligns with Catholic teachings. The grants aim to foster a thriving Catholic community by providing necessary resources to serve both current and future generations.

The Greater Rome Impact Grant, offered by the Community Foundation for Greater Rome, aims to support innovative projects enhancing community quality of life. Focus areas include arts, education, and environmental initiatives. Eligible applicants are non-profits with 501(c)(3) status in Floyd County, Georgia. The grant encourages collaboration among organizations while discouraging support for individuals, capital campaigns, and projects lacking sustainability. Applications will open in 2025, emphasizing impactful initiatives that address significant community needs.

The North Georgia United Methodist Housing & Homeless Council offers grants to support non-profit organizations serving the homeless and low-income communities. Available grants include operational grants of up to $2,500 and capital grants of up to $10,000. Special Habitat Grants are also available, limited to $5,000. The application deadline for the Spring Capital Grant Cycle is March 3, 2025, while operational grants will be awarded in Fall 2025. Ensure eligibility criteria are met.

The CTF: Rooted in Justice Grants program aims to empower youth aged 12 to 20 by funding community-based organizations that engage them in environmental and food justice initiatives. With two-year grants of $25,000 per year, this program prioritizes youth-led urban greening efforts, acknowledging the importance of youth voices in creating equitable communities. Eligible organizations must operate in specific U.S. states and have existing programs that align with social justice principles.

The Georgia Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant supports local governments in acquiring lands and developing outdoor recreation facilities. Established in 1965, it has allocated over $120 million to Georgia, with annual funding expected to reach $5-7 million. The grant requires a dollar-for-dollar match and has a bi-annual cycle, offering approximately $12 million for the 2024-2025 period.
