The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism

Dougie Jr. was diagnosed with childhood disintegrative disorder (CDD), a very rare autism spectrum disorder, when he was three years old. Dougie was typically developing until he started to lose his language, motor and social skills at age three. At the time, there were no services offered for people and families with autism. Doug and Laurie started the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism to help other people and families with autism have access to the same opportunities, therapies and programs to live life to the fullest.

Our mission is to help people and families with autism live life to the fullest. Our Vision is focused in a world where people with autism lead productive lives where they are included, respected, and actively engaged in their communities.

Playground Communication Boards Program

Rooted in the belief that every voice matters, our playground communication board uses images and symbols to bridge gaps in communication. Visual aids support a wide range of learners, including verbal, neurotypical peers, and promote inclusion of people with differing abilities. Our mission is to ensure everyone, regardless of their communication abilities, can express their thoughts, needs, and feelings; fostering a truly inclusive and engaging community.

We are excited to announce that grant applications are now open to playgrounds across Massachusetts as part of our vision: One Board in Every Town and City. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and applicants will be notified of their status within 30 days of submission.

The Science Policy Fellowship, offered by the American Chemical Society, provides a unique opportunity for trained scientists to engage in public policy. This program enhances understanding of the policy-making process, allowing Fellows to work alongside experienced Government Affairs staff. The Buell Foundation Grant supports organizations that enhance children's education and development in Colorado. Focused on underserved communities, it prioritizes early childhood programs, evaluations, and quality improvements. Grants typically range from $10,000 to $50,000, directing funds to those committed to impactful initiatives. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations or government entities with a dedication to non-discrimination and community engagement. The foundation aims to create sustainable support for programs that foster positive outcomes for children.

MaxInMotion Grants provide essential financial support to youth sports organizations in Arizona and California, ensuring that financially challenged children can participate in sports programs. This funding not only promotes physical fitness but also fosters character development, teamwork, and academic excellence among youth. By prioritizing inclusivity, MaxInMotion aims to create equal athletic opportunities for all children, including those with special needs. The foundation is dedicated to combating the negative impacts of reduced sports access in low-income communities.

The Substance Abuse Recovery Grant aims to combat substance abuse in collaboration with local entities like the City of Huntington and County Health Department. It supports prevention, education, intervention, and recovery initiatives, including Moral Reconation Therapy and transportation for recovery homes. This grant is available to non-profits and government organizations focused on helping individuals affected by substance abuse. By fostering a supportive environment, the grant seeks to improve community health and reduce substance-related issues.

Mary Kay Ash Foundation

Guided by Mary Kay Ash’s dream to enrich the lives of women everywhere, the Mary Kay Ash Foundation® raises and distributes funds to invest in breakthrough cancer research and clinical trials to find a cure for women-related cancers and ending domestic violence.

Since 1996, the Mary Kay Ash Foundation®, a 501(c)3 organization, has contributed more than $100 million to organizations aligned with its two-fold mission. In addition, the Foundation supports awareness initiatives, community outreach programs, and advocates for legislation to ensure women are healthy and safe. Mary Kay Ash Foundation: Cancer Research Grant

The Mary Kay Ash Foundation is a non-profit public foundation, which focuses on funding research for innovative grants for translational research of cancers affecting women (ovarian, uterine, breast, endometrial or cervical cancer among others). Translational research is broadly defined as research that will provide a scientific link between laboratory research and the clinic. Ultimately, such research would lead to improvement in diagnosis, prognosis, prevention, or treatment of the cancer. Each year the Foundation extends invitations to NCI designated cancer institutes and accredited medical schools to apply. Only one application is accepted per institution.

Grant proposals are reviewed by a Scientific Research Review Committee comprised of notable members of the American medical and scientific community. Grants are awarded up to $100,000 (combined direct and indirect costs) for a two-year period. The Foundation anticipates funding between 10 and 15 grants annually. 

The Pennsylvania Environmental Council's Mini Grant Programs, including the River of the Year initiative, aim to enhance public awareness and conservation efforts for designated rivers. Local organizations can apply for a $15,000 grant to support year-long activities celebrating the honored river. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, municipalities, and educational institutions, with a focus on engaging communities in outdoor recreation and resource protection. This program has recognized rivers since 1983, fostering environmental stewardship and community involvement.

The Southwest Badger Natural Resource Conservation Grant supports initiatives in southern Wisconsin that aim to protect and restore natural resources. Targeting counties like Crawford and Grant, this grant encourages 501(c)(3) organizations and municipalities to apply for funding up to $3,500. The grant is managed by community volunteers from The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, ensuring projects align with conservation goals for future generations.

The HEAL Initiative: Pain Research Enhancement Program (PREP) supports R15-eligible Principal Investigators in conducting innovative pain research. This program encourages interdisciplinary partnerships and aims to enhance the research environment for health professional trainees. Key application deadlines include November 19, 2024, and October 28, 2025, with specific dates for AIDS-related applications. By fostering collaboration, the initiative seeks to advance understanding and treatment of pain.

The Harris and Eliza Kempner Fund's Core Grants Program focuses on Empowered Youth, aiming to address significant challenges faced by Galveston's youth. With a commitment to enhancing mental health support, promoting civic engagement, and ensuring equitable access to resources, the fund seeks to empower young individuals, particularly those from marginalized backgrounds. Through targeted funding, the Kempner Fund strives to create a thriving community where every young person can reach their full potential.

Marketing to Attract Marquis Events (MTAME) / Marquis Events Grant Program

The 2026 Marquis Events Grant Program was established by Tourism Promotion Fund legislation (Act 109 of 2018) and funded by Section 1934-A(e) of Act 45 of 2025 (P.L. 156, No. 45). This program seeks to promote the Commonwealth as a premium host of large-scale events by providing the funds necessary to secure and execute large-scale events at world-class levels. To accomplish this goal, the Office of Tourism will establish a grant program for entities responsible for hosting major events—such as sports tournaments and series, large-format public festivals, multi-day cultural or sports activations, fan zones, or signature celebrations.

The California Department of Food and Agriculture is inviting proposals for the Adaptive IPM for Invasive Agricultural Pests grant program. This initiative aims to develop integrated pest management strategies that can be implemented swiftly when new invasive pests threaten California's agriculture. With $500,000 available for one award, the program seeks to enhance existing IPM strategies and explore new control measures to combat pesticide resistance and ensure a sustainable agricultural environment.

The Topfer Family Foundation Grant aims to empower individuals by providing essential resources and support in various program areas, including child abuse prevention, youth enrichment, job training, children's health, and aging in place. Eligible applicants include non-profits and community groups addressing local needs. Ineligible activities include operational expenses and for-profit endeavors. The program prioritizes projects demonstrating measurable community impact, fostering a collaborative relationship between TC Energy and local stakeholders.

The Alice M. Ditson Fund provides organizational support for professional performing ensembles and institutions committed to advancing the work of younger and relatively unknown living American composers. Grants are available for general operating or project support, emphasizing contemporary American classical concert music. Eligibility includes organizations without non-profit status if sponsored by a 501(c)(3) entity, while projects featuring American music are prioritized. This funding opportunity encourages innovative performances and fosters greater recognition of emerging talents in the classical music sphere.

The purpose of the Program is to increase access to affordable and reliable electric vehicle (EV) charging networks and reduce transportation greenhouse gas emissions throughout Maryland, and especially in overburdened communities.

The Training Program in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute offers advanced training for individuals pursuing careers in neuroscience and neurodevelopmental research. Established in 1998, it emphasizes the understanding of disabilities linked to chromosomal defects and trauma. Trainees engage in hands-on research, develop critical skills, and collaborate with esteemed scientists, aiming to become leaders in their field. The program actively encourages applications from underrepresented minority groups to foster diversity in scientific research.

The Social & Economic Mobility Grant, offered by the Community Foundation of Broward, supports 501(c)(3) nonprofits providing services in Broward County. Eligible organizations must have a Gold Seal of Transparency from Candid. Grants are awarded twice a year across four focus areas, including Social & Economic Mobility. The Fall Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) at BIOS offers U.S. undergraduate students a unique opportunity to engage in marine research funded by the National Science Foundation. Participants will work on projects such as coral ecophysiology and marine microbiology under expert mentorship. This internship not only enhances research skills but also promotes diversity by encouraging applications from underrepresented groups. Funding covers travel, accommodation, meals, and a stipend, making it an accessible option for aspiring scientists.

New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH)

New Jersey Heart and Stroke Grant

The New Jersey Heart and Stroke Grant works with partners to implement activities aimed at improving the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease in New Jersey.

Program Description

Tau Grants are intended to strengthen the health and well-being of communities across our six-county region. These grants specifically support small nonprofit organizations that expand access to healthcare services or promote economic mobility. We are especially interested in organizations that both serve and are led by people from historically marginalized communities, including BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, and immigrants. Tau Grants provide unrestricted general operating support to help these organizations thrive.

General operating grants strengthen the organization’s overall mission and goals and further its charitable purpose. The focus is not on specific projects or programs. Examples include strategic planning, technology upgrades, audits, and infrastructure costs such as utilities, rent, and personnel.

About Us

Housing New Mexico, also known as New Mexico Mortgage Finance Authority (MFA), is a self-supporting quasi-governmental entity that provides financing to make quality affordable housing and other related services available to low- and moderate-income New Mexicans. Using funding from housing bonds, tax credits and other federal and state agencies, Housing New Mexico provides resources to build affordable rental communities, rehabilitate aging homes, supply down payment assistance and affordable mortgages, offer emergency shelter and administer rental assistance and subsidies. Housing New Mexico partners with lenders, REALTORS, nonprofit organizations, local governments, tribal communities and developers throughout the state to make these programs and services available to all eligible New Mexicans.

Housing Innovation Program

Overview:

The Housing Innovation Program is a resource to address housing needs that are currently not being served through other Housing New Mexico programs and an opportunity for eligible applicants to fund a community tailored housing solution. Through the program, Housing New Mexico looks to assist underserved populations, to cultivate new partnerships, and to fund projects that may be scalable.

Examples of past awards include funding for a roof repair and replacement program, homeless shelter expansion, accessibility improvements for senior homeowners, and scattered sight transitional housing for participants of a workforce integration program. 

Community Foundation of Mendocino County

The Community Foundation of Mendocino County is a county-wide nonprofit organization that administers permanent charitable funds established through gifts and bequests from individuals, families, businesses, and other organizations.

The Community Foundation of Mendocino County Scholarship program provides scholarship opportunities for local students to help pursue their educational goals and achieve their higher education dreams.

The Community Foundation of Mendocino County provides scholarships for all seven regions of the county, as well as for specific academic and professional goals.

Kressa Jean Shepherd Memorial Scholarship Fund

Created by Sara and John Shepherd in memory of their daughter, Kressa, to support students with a passion for the arts (visual art, design, music, theater, and dance) who may or may not choose to study art at the college level.

The Schreiber Foods Foundation Grant supports charitable organizations addressing food insecurity and basic needs in Wisconsin. Open year-round, it encourages nonprofits in Brown, Calumet, and surrounding counties to apply for funding, which typically ranges from $1,000 to $100,000. The foundation prioritizes innovative solutions that enhance community quality of life, promote self-sufficiency, and foster partnerships. Notably, it does not fund religious activities, individuals, or debt retirement, ensuring a focus on impactful community projects.

The Drinking Water Source Protection Grant Program (OR) provides crucial funding for public water suppliers to enhance, restore, or protect drinking water sources. Established by Oregon's HB 2010, this program allocates $5 million, with individual grants capped at $3 million, to support land acquisition and conservation efforts. It particularly focuses on serving rural and lower-income communities, ensuring access to clean water while promoting environmental stewardship and community health.

The JRCT: Peace and Security Grant Programme, from the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, focuses on funding initiatives that address the root causes of conflict and injustice. The Trust emphasizes values of equality, human rights, and environmental sustainability, advocating for non-violent approaches and participatory governance. Its funding priorities include challenging militarism, promoting transparency in counter-terrorism, and supporting innovative solutions to the dual impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and systemic racism, primarily aimed at creating lasting societal change.
