Established in 1983, the fellowship provides two grants of $5,500 annually for doctoral candidates pursuing research in tropical plant systematics and forest ecology. Eligible applicants include U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled in U.S. institutions, who are expected to complete their Ph.D. in Botany within two years.

The Mid-Career Professional Development Grant is designed for Minnesota-based mid-career artists aiming to enhance their public art careers. This funding supports project development and various professional activities, including residencies, apprenticeships, and skill development. Applicants must have lived in Minnesota for at least 12 of the last 24 months, and their projects must be original and not replicate previous work. This grant fosters creativity and professional growth in the public art sector.

The Mid-Career Project Grant supports Minnesota-based mid-career public artists in creating public artwork, whether temporary or permanent. Eligible projects include various forms such as performance, sculpture, and photography, accessible to all. Applicants must have at least ten years of experience, live in Minnesota, and produce original work. This grant encourages diverse artistic expressions that contribute to community engagement and cultural enrichment.

The MRAC: Next Step Fund Grant, supported by the McKnight Foundation, offers project grants of up to $6,000 for artists across all disciplines. This initiative aims to assist artists in overcoming barriers to success, sustaining their artistic careers, and seizing future opportunities. Open to applicants at any career stage, projects should reflect individual goals and career stages, fostering both advancement and maintenance of creative practice.

Grant Description

The annual Share Your Story video grant challenge mobilizes generosity to local nonprofits in the Greater Huntsville area, focusing on a new theme each year. Nonprofit organizations create a 60-second video showing their impact and sharing their story, then post their video to Facebook and submit a brief application in the Community Foundation’s online grant portal.

Our 2026 Scholarship Program will disburse over $300,000 this year!

Our scholarships support students of all ages (high school seniors, current college students, and adults returning to school) residing in Staunton, Waynesboro, and the counties of Augusta, Highland, and Nelson. 

Only one application is required to be considered for the majority of Community Foundation scholarships.

Lt. Col. Thomas R. Beam Scholarship

The Lt. Col. Thomas R. Beam Scholarship was established through the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge to support promising students from the Central Shenandoah Valley in pursuing a path of service, leadership, and education at Virginia Tech as members of the Corps of Cadets.

The Community Wellbeing Grant, offered by the Lululemon Centre for Social Impact, aims to enhance wellbeing through movement, mindfulness, and connection. This grant supports community-led non-profits working to address systemic inequities, helping to build access to wellness resources. Applications are encouraged from organizations that prioritize diverse leadership and serve populations facing barriers to wellbeing. The goal is to impact 10 million individuals positively by 2025, fostering equity and resilience in communities worldwide.

The MAC Underserved Initiative Grant Program aims to enhance access to quality arts programming across all 82 counties in Mississippi. By identifying underserved areas that lack recent grants or services, the Mississippi Arts Commission facilitates outreach and support for local arts initiatives. This program not only promotes cultural engagement but also fosters community development and collaboration among various organizations, ensuring that all citizens can participate in diverse artistic experiences.

Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge

The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge is a charitable organization that has served the independent cities of Staunton and Waynesboro, and the counties of Augusta, Highland and Nelson since 1992. 

The Ganelle Hargrove Cook Scholarship

The Ganelle Hargrove Cook Scholarship was established in 1999 to provide annual scholarships to deserving individuals residing in Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County who are pursuing a two- or four-year degree. Preference will be given to applicants of Hispanic/Latino heritage. Scholarship recipients are eligible to re-apply annually for up to four years as long as the recipient continues to meet scholarship criteria and funds are available. The intent of the scholarship sponsor is to provide scholarships for Hispanic/Latino individuals.

The VAH Foundation Grant focuses on funding projects in Animal Welfare, Education, Literacy, the Environment, and Cultural Beautification for 2025. Applicants must be 501(c)3 nonprofits, registered on GuideStar.org, and based in Kern County. The Foundation seeks detailed budgets, projected impact, and complete supporting documents. Funding will not be considered for general fundraising events, direct aid to individuals, or multi-year grants, with preference given to standalone projects and grassroots organizations.

For a resident of the West Noble School District who will have a high school diploma or equivalent by the end of June 2026, is or will be enrolled in a certified 1-,2-,3- or 4-year Indiana post-high school program (the award is given in alphabetical rotational distribution among the three school corporations of Noble County.) Pays $500 one-time.

Awards a one time payment of $500 to a high school senior who will be accepted into a 2-year or 4-year accredited public or private institution of higher learning and is a Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council member, currently involved and having been involved for a minimum of two years, consecutively.

Ellenbecker, Oliver and Eleanor Education Scholarship Fund

Awards $3,500 one time to high school seniors who attend a Noble County high school and will begin a four-year bachelor’s program at an accredited college or university in the Fall, majoring in education to become a teacher. Applicants must have lived in Noble County at least one year.

The Dental Safety Net Grant, funded by the Minnesota Department of Health, aims to support dental providers serving uninsured patients under 21. Annually, up to $113,000 is allocated based on the number of uninsured patients treated. Each provider can receive between 2% and 30% of the total funding. Grants will be distributed over a three-year period, ensuring that financial assistance reaches those most in need.

Associated General Contractors Of California

CLIC Scholarship

The California Landscape Irrigation Council (CLIC) Inc. Scholarship awards $1,000 to a student who portrays academic excellence working towards a degree in landscape construction, contracting, engineering, construction management, business administration, and/or related fields. The scholarship is also open to members of union trades specific to landscape careers. 

Associated General Contractors Of California

Since 1920, we have worked together with our members to provide advocacy, education, career development, and networking opportunities to experienced and next generation construction and contracting professionals. This scholarship awards individual scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,500. It is a great opportunity for college students pursuing construction or construction-related careers who are enrolled in a two—or four-year degree program.

The Michael L. Lomax Endowed Scholarship program was established by Tench and Simone Coxe in honor of Dr. Michael L. Lomax, President, and CEO of UNCF, in partnership with UNCF. The scholarship program is designed to provide scholarship support to deserving students attending one of the 37 UNCF member institutions.

Michael L. Lomax Endowed Scholarship program is annually renewable based on availability of funds and provided students continue to meet the eligibility requirement.

NEESA Last Dollar Grant

NEESA Last Dollar Grants are designed to provide need-based, last-dollar gap scholarships for graduating high school seniors facing barriers to college enrollment. Students may receive up to $1,000.00 for their freshman year attendance.
