The Foundation currently manages more than 100 scholarship funds that support hundreds of deserving students each year from Stark and Carroll counties.

The Multicultural Committee of the Stark County Board of MRDD Scholarship Fund

The Multicultural Committee of the Stark County Board of MRDD Scholarship Fund assists college juniors and seniors enrolled full-time at a four-year college or university in the area (including Stark, Tuscarawas, Summit, Wayne and Portage counties) who maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants must major in a special education or related field.

This scholarship is renewable.

The Massillon Fraternal Order of Eagles Jimmy Kiefer Scholarship Fund

The Massillon Fraternal Order of Eagles Jimmy Kiefer Scholarship Fund is awarded to Stark County high school graduating seniors who will be attending an accredited two-or four-year college or university full-time and have a relative who is a member of FOE Eagles #190 in good standing.

This scholarship is not renewable.

The Markley Family Scholarship Fund

The Markley Family Scholarship Fund was established to assist full-time undergraduate students of Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. Both resident and commuter students are eligible. Students must demonstrate academic potential and financial need.

This scholarship is renewable.

The Tree Campus Higher Education Program in Ohio, facilitated by the National Arbor Day Foundation, aims to enhance college campuses through sustainable tree management and community engagement. By meeting five key standards, institutions can achieve annual recognition, fostering a culture of environmental stewardship among students and faculty. This initiative not only beautifies campuses but also contributes to mental health and climate action. The Tree Campus Higher Education Program, led by the National Arbor Day Foundation, promotes the importance of trees in campus environments. By fostering community forests, this program not only enhances the beauty and livability of college campuses but also addresses critical environmental issues. Schools can gain national recognition by meeting five key standards, thereby encouraging student involvement in tree-related projects while benefiting mental health and reducing energy needs.

The Local President Release Grant, offered by the National Education Association, aims to support local associations by providing financial assistance for the release of local presidents. This program facilitates critical leadership work, professional development, and member engagement within the community. Eligible local associations, including those offering part-time release, can apply to enhance their capacity without compromising existing programs. The initiative ultimately strengthens the effectiveness of local associations in achieving NEA's strategic priorities.

Each year, Innovia awards over $400,000 in scholarships to deserving students like you who are college-bound or pursuing vocational or technical training. Single scholarship awards range between $500 and $4,000.

Cultivating Potential Scholarship Fund

This program provides assistance to individuals in Innovia service region in Eastern Washington who, through uncertain circumstances, have struggled and want a better life, but lack the resources to get started. Students must be nominated in order to apply and will receive a scholarship to their accredited school and program of choice to help offset tuition, fees, books, supplies, transportation, housing and other related costs associated with supporting their educational endeavors. Program requires a mentor and mentor/applicant participation in a cohort of scholarship recipients.

Previous recipients of this award are eligible to reapply.

Bennett/Darwin Family Scholarship Fund

Scholarship Eligibility

• Graduating Senior from Palm Beach County public or independent high school.
• Based on financial need.
• Plans to attend law school after graduating under graduate college.
• Minimum 2.0 GPA.

By achieving recognition, schools can create greener, healthier environments for students and staff. The program encourages universities to establish a Tree Advisory Committee, develop care plans, and engage in service-learning projects. Participation helps mitigate climate change, fosters community pride, and enhances mental health, making campuses more vibrant and sustainable for all.

The Bud and Linda Tarrson Fellowship, awarded by the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation, offers $30,000 ($10,000 annually for up to three years) to periodontists aiming for academic careers. Eligibility includes being a faculty member at an instructor or assistant level and having no more than ten years of affiliation with a degree-granting institution. The fellowship supports research and teaching in periodontology, enhancing educational opportunities in the field.

Scholarship Eligibility

• Graduating high school senior from any Palm Beach or Martin County high school.
• Should be involved in extracurricular activities.
• Must have a 2.5 GPA or better while in high school and a C average in college and demonstrate financial need.

The Lester and Eleanor Webster Fund was established to assist students residing in Stark County who are pursuing a degree at an accredited school in Ohio and who have attained at least sophomore status in college.
