New Bern Breakfast Rotary Todd Denson Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Criteria

Graduates of high schools in Craven County, North Carolina, or Craven County, North Carolina residents graduating from high school.

The Phil Gordon Threatened Building Grant Program, funded by the City of Phoenix, aims to preserve and rehabilitate historic downtown warehouses and buildings at risk of demolition. The program provides up to 100% funding for eligible projects, contingent upon owners investing an equal amount in rehabilitation. With a focus on exterior preservation and compliance with historic standards, it ensures that significant properties are maintained for future use, contributing to the city's cultural heritage and urban landscape.

The Historic Preservation Exterior Rehabilitation Assistance Program aims to support the preservation of historic buildings in Phoenix by offering financial assistance to homeowners. Eligible property owners can receive grants ranging from $5,000 to $20,000 for exterior rehabilitation projects. This program promotes the retention of historic architectural elements while ensuring that homes in designated historic districts or listed on the city's register are maintained and restored appropriately. Applicants must adhere to specific guidelines and deadlines to qualify.

The AUA Data Research Grant Program, funded by the American Urological Association Inc, aims to enhance urologic research by fostering a diverse group of dedicated professionals. This initiative focuses on bridging knowledge gaps in urology care and cultivating physician scientists through access to comprehensive data sources and mentorship from AUA Data Committee experts. By supporting innovative research, the program contributes significantly to the advancement of patient care in urology.

The Urology Care Foundation International Student Humanitarian Grant supports a medical student to undertake humanitarian work in Trinidad and Tobago. This grant is aimed at AUA Medical Student members, focusing on improving public health and urologic care for this underserved population. The project lasts 6-8 weeks during the summer, typically between the first and second years of medical school, encouraging diversity among applicants from accredited medical schools.

The Historic Preservation Demonstration Project Program, funded by the City of Phoenix, aims to rehabilitate significant historic buildings while preserving their architectural integrity. The program provides up to 50% funding for eligible projects, encouraging restoration and reuse of historic properties such as museums and churches. By adhering to the city's General Design Guidelines and the Secretary of the Interior's Standards, the program supports sustainable preservation efforts that enhance community heritage and promote responsible development.

The Trees for Texans - Trees For Schools Grant, in partnership with Texan by Nature and H-E-B, aims to enhance community environments through native tree planting at schools near new H-E-B stores. This initiative not only helps cool urban areas and mitigate the urban heat island effect but also fosters educational opportunities and promotes mental well-being. By investing in sustainable practices, the program ensures long-term ecological benefits and engages the next generation in conservation efforts.

The Trees for Texans - Trees For Communities Grant, in partnership with Texan by Nature and H-E-B, fosters community engagement through tree-planting initiatives across Texas. By offering $5,000 grants to eligible nonprofits and municipalities, this program aims to enhance urban environments, promote sustainability, and improve public spaces. Projects must be publicly accessible and demonstrate a measurable impact on local ecology, ensuring a greener future for generations to come. Together, we can cultivate healthier communities and environments.

The Dr. James T. Mellonig Regeneration Research Award, funded by the American Academy of Periodontology, honors outstanding research in periodontal regeneration. With a $10,000 scholarship, it is open to second- and third-year residents or recent graduates in accredited periodontal programs who have contributed original research. Applicants must be AAP members and U.S. citizens or permanent residents, aiming to advance clinical therapies in periodontics. This award commemorates Dr. Jo Rummelhart's legacy and the impact of her work in the field.

Brian Thiele Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship, established by family and friends in memory of Brian Thiele, provides financial assistance to students who exhibit characteristics similar to those for which Brian is so fondly remembered. This includes playing varsity and/or club soccer, achievement of personal and academic goals, overcoming obstacles to meet his goals, competitive spirit, leadership and a special caring for community. Additional application materials are required for this scholarship.

The Economic Development Grants offered by the City of Houston aim to stimulate business and commercial activity by providing financial assistance to eligible public, private, and nonprofit organizations. This program facilitates a structured application process, involving multiple stages of assessment and collaboration with city departments to ensure alignment with local initiatives. By investing public funds into viable projects, the city fosters economic growth and development, ultimately benefiting the community and enhancing local infrastructure.

The Urology Care Foundation's Health Equity Fellowship Grant aims to train early-career urologists dedicated to addressing healthcare disparities in marginalized communities. Over two years, fellows will engage in didactic education and hands-on advocacy projects, gaining skills to implement innovative solutions. The program emphasizes mentorship and collaboration with Temple University, providing a unique opportunity for urologists to enhance their understanding of urban bioethics and community engagement while receiving a recognized certification upon completion.

Danial & Joeanna Smith Education Scholarship

The scholarship was established through a bequest from the estate of Danial and Joeanna Smith for the purpose of providing educational scholarships to permanent residents of Van Buren County and who are planning to pursue a bachelor's degree at a four-year college/university. Additional application materials are required for this scholarship.

The CFEW Religious Education Grants, provided by the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Washington, support projects that enhance religious education for youth and adults. Grants range from $500 to $3,300 and prioritize underfunded groups. Examples of previous recipients include an elementary school providing bibles for students, a group addressing the spiritual needs of Hispanic Catholics, and a retreat for high school students. These grants continue the Foundation's mission of furthering the work of the Church since 1981.

Peter & Inez Schonveld Scholarship

This scholarship was established through a bequest from the estate of Inez Schonveld to provide scholarship assistance to graduating high school seniors and graduates of the Kalamazoo Public School District.

The City of San Antonio offers Events Grants to support artistic events produced by local nonprofits. These grants are available for three-year funding cycles and aim to enhance access to the city's rich arts and culture. By funding a single event, these grants encourage creativity and community engagement in the arts, ensuring that diverse cultural expressions are showcased and celebrated within San Antonio.

The Production Costs Grants for Performing Artists, offered by the City of San Antonio, aim to support local performing arts organizations and professional artists. This funding can be utilized for artist fees, back-of-house labor, marketing for upcoming productions, security, and rental costs. The goal is to promote accessible, high-quality, and innovative performing arts programming in the San Antonio area.

The Outcomes Innovative Pharmacy Grant Program - Entrepreneur Track supports innovative pharmacy initiatives in Iowa, providing up to $50,000 for eligible applicants. To qualify, applicants must be licensed pharmacists or researchers in Iowa, members of the Iowa Pharmacy Association, and submit a letter of interest along with a 10/20/30 pitch deck. The funds can only be used for direct project costs, excluding overhead and salaries for patient care services.

Hermann K. Brauer Memorial Scholarship Fund

Students must be preparing for a professional career in medicine, dentistry, nursing, engineering or other science, teaching or law. The scholarship will not be used for career preparation in veterinary medicine, funeral direction, mortuary science, or in the ministry. The student must demonstrate clear financial need. To maintain the scholarship, the student must remain in good academic standing as defined by the college or university and have no failing subject. The student must demonstrate clear financial need. Robert Franklin Black Scholarship Fund

The endowment shall be devoted to the support of two scholarships:

The Juki Automation Scholarship (JAS) 

The JAS scholarship will be made available to individuals between the ages of 16 and 30 who have received or are expecting to receive a high school degree or its equivalent and whose parent, stepparent, legal guardian, aunt, uncle, spouse or grandparent is an employee of Juke Automation Systems. The individual must have applied to and be planning to attend an accredited institution of higher learning within one year of the application deadline. Such institution may be a four-year college or university, a community college or a technical institute, for undergraduate or graduate education. The scholarship is renewable. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, school and community activities, work experience and educational goals. 

Community Scholarship

The Community Scholarship will be made available to individuals between the ages of 16 and 25 who have received or are expecting to receive a high school degree or its equivalent and whose parent or legal guardian is a resident of Durham, Orange and Wake Counties of North Carolina. The scholarship is renewable but may not be used for graduate education. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, school and community activities, work experience and educational goals.

This will be outlined in your award notification. The minimum scholarship award amount is $1,000.

MAGA Phoenix created the MAGA Scholarship Program in 2015, and has continued to award deserving students college scholarships each year. MAGA Phoenix takes great pride in being able to assist young students in achieving their educational goals.

The Mexican American Golf Association of Phoenix, Arizona (MAGA Phoenix) is dedicated to raising funds for college scholarships through monthly golf tournaments.

MAGA Phoenix is pleased to announce that we will be offering 12 qualified applicants $1,000.00 (renewable) scholarships to assist them in continuing their education. Eight of the 12 scholarships will be going to students entering into a traditional college/university and up to four of the scholarships will be going to students entering a trade/vocational/apprenticeship program.

The scholarships we award vary each year based on the unique criteria of each scholarship. In 2025, we awarded over $3 million in scholarships to over 500 students, including $1.3 million to 110 students in western NC through our Disaster Relief and Resilience Scholarship .

Depending on the scholarship, it may pay for tuition, room and board, books, fees and/or other related educational expenses.

Jack C. Wells Scholarship for Harnett County

The SMAC Artist Growth Grants support artists at any career stage in the SW MN region, promoting artistic development and audience expansion. Grants of up to $4,000 cover costs such as supplies, mentorship, workshops, and studio rentals. Eligible applicants must be permanent residents of the area, at least 18 years old, and may have only one pending application at a time. Ineligible projects include those lacking an art focus or tied to for-profit activities.

Quick Support for Artists

Provides artists with up to $1,000 for activities such as purchasing supplies, attending classes, and small artist-led community projects. All arts disciplines are accepted, and artists at any stage of their career may apply.

The Alabama Power Foundation offers Scholar Grants to support public school teachers in grades two to eight, providing funding up to $7,500 for professional development and instructional resources aimed at improving student achievement in math and English language arts. The program prioritizes schools demonstrating financial need, ensuring effective collaboration among teachers to enhance educational outcomes. With a focus on innovative teaching tools and ongoing professional growth, these grants aim to empower educators and foster student success.
