PFund Foundation strengthens LGBTQ+ communities across the Upper Midwest through strategic grantmaking, scholarships, leadership development, and inspiring giving.

Community Grants

PFund Community Grants are for LGBTQ+ serving nonprofits in the Upper Midwest. These grants range from $1,000-$20,000+ and include organizational membership to the PFund Leadership Institute, a monthly cohort based learning and networking opportunity.

The Individual Artist Fellowship Grants, offered by the Oregon Arts Commission, support professional artists in advancing their careers. This fellowship is available in various artistic disciplines, including Performing and Visual Arts, with applications open to individuals aged 18 and older who have been residents of Oregon for at least one year. Artists from underserved communities are particularly encouraged to apply, promoting diversity and inclusion within the arts.

The BACF Education Mini Grants provide Bay and Arenac County K-12 educators with funding for innovative classroom projects. Each year, ten grants of up to $500 are awarded to support unique educational enhancements. Eligible applicants include registered 501(c)(3) organizations, government entities, and schools within these counties. The program aims to boost educational quality and creativity, with applications accepted biennially until the funds are depleted.

The Watershed Forestry Field Trips Grant Program, administered by the Watershed Agricultural Council, offers funding for educational trips within the NYC Watershed. These immersive experiences allow participants to explore local reservoirs and understand the vital connection between forestry and water quality. Open to various organizations and classrooms, this program encourages learning about sustainable practices while enjoying the natural beauty of the watershed. Some of the funds help students from a particular school or area; others provide financial assistance to those pursuing a specific field of study; still others assist students that are most in need. Students who apply to the Scholarship program may be eligible for many of these funds.

• Scholarships may be used to offset tuition, fees, room and board, and other items included as part of the cost for attending the institution. 
• Most scholarships are for students who live in Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden Counties. However, some are also available to students who live in Berkshire County and Hartford County in Connecticut.
• We offer scholarships to those who attend on either a full-time or part-time basis. 
• Any student who plans to enroll for the upcoming fall semester, in any year of college as an undergraduate or graduate student and who will attend an accredited post-secondary school in the United States may apply.
• Scholarships are provided for one academic year and are not automatically renewed each year. You can reapply to our program every year you are going to attend college, and the application you submit that year will be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible.

African American Achievement Fund

Supporting African American residents of Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire Counties who attend four-year colleges.

The AMA Foundation's Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship, offering $10,000 in tuition assistance, is designed for medical students approaching their final year. This scholarship aims to support underrepresented groups in medicine, including African American, Latine, and Native American students, who are dedicated to serving underserved populations. Since 1950, the AMA Foundation has awarded over $61 million in scholarships, promoting diversity in the medical field.

The Kyle Palmieri Foundation Grant aims to support non-profit organizations dedicated to benefiting Long Island's military community, including veterans, active service members, and their families. Founded by NHL player Kyle Palmieri, this 501(c)(3) charity focuses on raising funds to express gratitude for the sacrifices made by these heroes. Eligible applicants must operate on Long Island and uphold non-discriminatory practices. The foundation awards grants annually to amplify its mission and support those who serve.

In just one application, our Common Scholarship Application provides students access to more than 150 scholarship opportunities with awards ranging from $1,000 to more than $5,000.

In 2025, San Diego Foundation awarded a record-breaking $5.5 million in scholarships to nearly 1,400 students.

William and Lucille Ash Scholarship

Be adult re-entry students (age 25 or older) or former foster youth who plan to enroll full-time at an accredited four-year university, community college or licensed career/technical school in the United States in fall (preference may be given to students attending a school in California).

Arrighi Memorial Scholarship Fund

Supporting residents of Greenfield.

The Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith Scholarship, managed by the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, offers significant financial support for students pursuing higher education in South Dakota. With over $500,000 awarded annually, this scholarship targets high-achieving seniors from specific counties, encouraging participation in community activities and academic excellence. Eligible applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and plan to attend an accredited institution, ensuring that deserving students receive the assistance they need to succeed.

The Emerging Traditional Artists Program (ETAP), presented by South Arts Inc., supports early-career traditional artists from Appalachian Regional Commission-designated counties. With a $5,000 award, artists can access training, networking, and mentorship opportunities to enhance their skills and community impact. This initiative aims to preserve traditional arts and culture while fostering a new generation of artists dedicated to their craft and cultural heritage.

Edward P. Boland Scholarship Fund

Edward P. Boland served as the representative to the United States Congress for 36 years. His public service spanned 54 years of dedication to the people of western Massachusetts. He was the first chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and a longtime member of the Appropriations Committee overseeing departments such as HUD, NASA, Veterans, NSA and many other federal departments. Education was his top priority and upon retirement this scholarship fund was created to assist the students of western Massachusetts

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Description:

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship program will provide one scholarship for full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis, leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges.

Washington County Community Foundation

The Washington County Community Foundation seeks to improve the quality of life in Washington County by promoting and facilitating philanthropy. We accomplish this by assuming four philanthropic roles of Grantmaker, Donor Service Organization, Fundraiser, and Community Leader. Fostering philanthropy by offering charitable gifting opportunities to donors on an individualized basis and at reasonable fees, we make charitable giving easier, more satisfying, and more effective. 

The Foundation is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation organized under the laws of Pennsylvania, which is registered with the Pennsylvania Charities Bureau and annually files the Federal Form 990.

Scholarships for Post-Secondary (Undergraduate) School

Olivia Scott Scholarship Fund

For current year graduating seniors of any Washington County high school, who demonstrate academic excellence, sportsmanship, and/or the ability to work with others towards a common goal.

McDonald Family Cookie Jar Scholarship Fund

For a current year graduating senior who resides within the boundaries of any Washington County school district, who plans to enroll in a certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree program, and who demonstrates financial need. In the selection process, preference shall be given to students from under-represented, disadvantaged and/or diverse populations.

Kiwanis Club of Washington Scholarship Fund

For students who reside within the boundaries of the Avella Area School District, McGuffey School District, Trinity Area School District, Washington School District, and/or attended the Western Area Career & Technology Center and who plan to enroll in a certificate, associate, or bachelor’s degree program. Qualified applicants who are planning to attend or currently attending Penn Commercial Business/Technical School and/or have a strong community service background will be given special consideration.

The Baskin Family Foundation Grant supports innovative organizations that focus on education and social justice. Established by Samuel and Hadassah Baskin, Sheldon Baskin, and Judy Wise, this grant aims to empower 501(c)(3) organizations to create meaningful change in their communities. By promoting forward-thinking initiatives, the foundation strives to enhance the lives of those it serves and foster equality in access to education.

The Watson-Brown Foundation Scholarship offers need and merit-based financial assistance to students from Georgia and South Carolina attending accredited four-year colleges. Established in 1970, the foundation aims to enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged youth, awarding over $2.4 million annually. Eligible students can receive up to $3,000 per semester to cover educational expenses, supporting their academic journey while encouraging responsible scholarship and historic preservation.

The Twomey Family Scholarship, managed by The San Diego Foundation, supports current or former foster youth pursuing higher education. It aims to assist students attending community colleges, universities, or graduate schools in the U.S. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need and community commitment. Since 1997, the Community Scholarship Program has awarded over $59.5 million to help students achieve their academic goals.

The Pittsburgh Foundation provides scholarship opportunities for students to pursue their educational goals. Scholarships are available for graduating high school seniors, undergraduates, graduate, medical and professional school students who are attending community colleges, four–year universities, graduate schools, and career/technical schools.

Ken and Ann Horoho Memorial Fund

The Ken and Ann Horoho Memorial Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the Johnstown/Altoona area to assist in furthering their educational pursuits.

The Doug Parker Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of Howard County, provides $2,500 to a deserving senior high school student in Howard County who demonstrates commitment to community service, academics, and sportsmanship. Applicants must maintain an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher and plan to attend a college or trade school. This scholarship supports students who exemplify the values of dedication and excellence, helping them achieve their educational goals.

St. Louis City Senior Fund

The St. Louis City Senior Fund envisions the City of St. Louis as an aging-friendly community where older residents can thrive in environments that best support their well-being.

Direct Services Grants

Purpose of this RFP

The City of St. Louis Senior Citizens’ Services Fund (St. Louis City Senior Fund) is seeking proposals from non-profit organizations or government entities for one-year grants.

Applicants must provide programs or services for older adults in the City of St. Louis that fall under one of two focus areas for this funding round:

• Caregiving Support OR
• Case Management & Resource Navigation

We will prioritize support for:

• Organizations who have a history, commitment, and established local presence for serving older adults living in the City of St. Louis;
• Programs and services that are evidence or experience-based and adapt to and reflect the people they seek to serve;
• Programs and services that have limited availability and could expand their reach with grant funding or are threatened due to changes in funding; and/or
• Programs and services focused on serving residents that have limited to no access to similar existing services due to financial, language, mobility, or other barriers.

The Aaron Worley Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of Howard County, provides a $1,000 award to a deserving senior student from Howard County High Schools. This scholarship aims to honor Aaron Worley by recognizing students who demonstrate exceptional commitment to community service, academics, and sportsmanship. Eligible applicants must have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0 and plan to pursue higher education or vocational training.

The Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University offers undergraduate research assistant positions to Harvard College students. These roles support Faculty Associates engaged in diverse research related to international affairs. Candidates with prior research experience or an interest in international topics are encouraged to apply, enhancing their chances of securing a position. The George Family Foundation focuses on Whole-Person Health and Wellbeing, emphasizing the importance of nurturing mind, body, spirit, and community. The foundation seeks to empower individuals and promote healthcare choice by funding community-based initiatives and select medical systems. Their funding priorities include enhancing access to whole-person care for diverse populations and supporting professional training programs for practitioners, particularly those from underrepresented communities.
