The East Grand Education Fund, part of the Grand Foundation, enhances education in Grand County, Colorado, by supporting innovative projects in the East Grand School District. Funding is available for proposals that improve curriculum, foster community relationships, and introduce new learning methods. Only EGSD staff can submit applications, which are accepted on a rolling basis. This initiative aims to enrich educational experiences and address the evolving needs of students.

Susan B. Herron/Lively Arts and Education Grant

Susan Herron was one of Meridian’s most active and dedicated cultural leaders during her lifetime. She served on the Board of Commissioners for the Mississippi Arts Commission and as president of the Meridian Arts Council and Meridian Little Theatre Guild. She was also an avid supporter of the Meridian Museum of Art, Meridian Community College Arts & Letters Series, and served as vice president of the Meridian Junior Auxiliary.

This endowment was established at the Community Foundation in honor of her memory. With gifts from many in this community, Susan Herron’s passion and enthusiasm for the arts will continue for years to come.

Requests can be for assisting with the start-up of new Arts and Education Programs, or the special one-time needs of existing programs, or supporting special Arts and Education opportunities.

The Friends of Classic Open Golf Scholarship at Montana State University supports students pursuing a degree from the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship. This scholarship is part of the university's commitment to providing access to transformative education and fostering student success. It aims to assist incoming students in their academic journey, promoting excellence in business education and community engagement.

The Rachel Amey Scholarship Endowment Fund, established in 2013 by the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina, honors Rachel Amey's dedication to the Charleston County School District's ESL Program. This fund provides an annual scholarship to a student graduating from a Charleston County school who plans to attend college, prioritizing applicants who have learned English as a second language. Through this initiative, the foundation aims to support equitable educational opportunities in the community.

The Hebrew Orphan Society N. Edgar Miles, M.D. Scholarship, established by Doctor Miles in 1995, supports graduating high school seniors in Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties with financial need. The scholarship is designed for students in the top 25% of their class with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Multiple renewable awards are available, reflecting the commitment to fostering educational opportunities and addressing community needs in South Carolina.

The Frederick Brian Walter Civil Engineering Scholarship at Montana State University supports Montana residents pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. This scholarship aims to assist students demonstrating financial need, contributing to the university's commitment to providing transformative education. MSU, established in 1893, continues to offer various scholarships, enhancing access to higher education for incoming students and fostering community development through engineering education.

The 4Culture Equipment for Organizations grant provides funding of up to $15,000 to support the purchase and installation of essential equipment for arts, heritage, historic preservation, and science organizations in King County. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and fiscally sponsored groups. The funding can cover fixed assets like computers and machinery, with a minimum request of $1,000. Organizations should ensure their projects align with the grant criteria to qualify.

The Jasiri L.K. Whipper Scholarship Endowment, established by the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina in 2009, honors Jasiri Whipper by providing an annual scholarship for students attending historically black colleges or state-supported colleges in South Carolina. This renewable scholarship aims to empower students and address educational equity, reflecting the Foundation's commitment to community development and support for future leaders.

The Kylie Erin Gillette Scholarship Fund, established in 2016, honors the spirit of Kylie Gillette by providing annual scholarships to students from Berkeley, Charleston, or Dorchester counties. This initiative, supported by the Coastal Community Foundation of South Carolina, aims to empower local youth and foster educational opportunities. By addressing community needs and investing in the future, this fund reflects a commitment to building equity and opportunity in the region.

Michigan Sugar Company

Since our founding, more than a century ago, when six independent sugarbeet companies merged, Michigan Sugar Company has perfected the process of turning one of the region’s largest cash crops—the sugarbeet—into pure, all-natural sugar.

Today, Michigan Sugar Company is the third largest beet sugar processor in the United States, producing an annual average of about 1.3 billion pounds of sugar.

Michigan Sugar Company is proud to offer several scholarships to students in our sugarbeet growing areas. 

Michigan Sugar Festival Queen Scholarship

The Michigan Sugar Festival Queen Program, managed by the Sebewaing Chamber of Commerce and Festival Committee and sponsored in part by Michigan Sugar Company, celebrates and promotes the sugarbeet industry. This scholarship is designed for candidates with strong ties to Michigan sugarbeet farming, reflecting the importance of industry connection and representation.

All contestants will attend the Opening Ceremony of the Michigan Sugar Festival.

Contest winners will be required to attend a certain number of parades, events, and social commitments requested by Michigan Sugar Festival Committee. In addition, the following year’s Michigan Sugar Queen Interview Day, Michigan Sugar Queen Crowning Event, the Michigan Sugar Festival Grand Parade as the past year’s queen and court, along with parades in Bay, Huron, Sanilac, and Tuscola Counties.

Recommendations in support of applications could be from teachers, counselors, pastor, employer, or other respected business officials.

The scholarships we award vary each year based on the unique criteria of each scholarship. In 2025, we awarded over $3 million in scholarships to over 500 students, including $1.3 million to 110 students in western NC through our Disaster Relief and Resilience Scholarship .

Depending on the scholarship, it may pay for tuition, room and board, books, fees and/or other related educational expenses.

Jack C. Wells Scholarship for Harnett County

The Gallatin Lodge 6 Scholarship at Montana State University supports first-generation college students pursuing a degree in nursing. Established in 1893, MSU provides transformative educational opportunities. This scholarship is specifically aimed at Montana high school graduates, enhancing access to higher education for those who may face financial barriers. With a limited number of awards available, this initiative emphasizes the importance of community support and investment in the future of nursing professionals in Montana.

The Gallatin Lodge 6 Masonic Scholarship at Montana State University is aimed at supporting local students pursuing degrees or certificates at Gallatin College. Applicants must be Montana residents with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Preference is given to those demonstrating financial need and who are graduates of Montana high schools or possess a GED. This scholarship reflects MSU's commitment to accessible higher education and community transformation.

The Historical Fiction Writing Fellowship at The Newberry Library offers one month of financial support to writers focusing on historical fiction, including novels, short stories, plays, and poetry. With a stipend of $3,000, this fellowship is open to scholars of any nationality, encouraging diverse voices in the genre. The Newberry, a historic Chicago institution, fosters research and creativity, making it an ideal environment for writers to develop their craft and explore historical narratives.

Robert Franklin Black Scholarship Fund

The endowment shall be devoted to the support of two scholarships:

The Juki Automation Scholarship (JAS) 

The JAS scholarship will be made available to individuals between the ages of 16 and 30 who have received or are expecting to receive a high school degree or its equivalent and whose parent, stepparent, legal guardian, aunt, uncle, spouse or grandparent is an employee of Juke Automation Systems. The individual must have applied to and be planning to attend an accredited institution of higher learning within one year of the application deadline. Such institution may be a four-year college or university, a community college or a technical institute, for undergraduate or graduate education. The scholarship is renewable. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, school and community activities, work experience and educational goals. 

Community Scholarship

The Community Scholarship will be made available to individuals between the ages of 16 and 25 who have received or are expecting to receive a high school degree or its equivalent and whose parent or legal guardian is a resident of Durham, Orange and Wake Counties of North Carolina. The scholarship is renewable but may not be used for graduate education. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, school and community activities, work experience and educational goals.

The OREF Michael P. Kelly Sr Leadership Fellowship Program is a one-year virtual fellowship aimed at developing leadership skills in orthopedic residents. The program includes individual coaching, clinical research mentoring, educational opportunities, and an annual leadership retreat. It prioritizes candidates like orthopedic residents (PGY3-PGY5), fellows, and early-career surgeons who show a commitment to orthopedic clinical research and leadership in the orthopedic community.

The SAA First Book Award, presented by the Shakespeare Association of America (SAA), honors the legacy of Jerome Singerman and supports early career scholars. This prestigious award recognizes the best monograph with a significant Shakespeare component, published as the first book by a current SAA member between September 1, 2024, and September 1, 2025. The award will be announced during the SAA’s Annual Luncheon, celebrating contributions to Shakespeare studies.

The J. Leeds Barroll Dissertation Prize, awarded by the Shakespeare Association of America, honors exemplary doctoral work with a significant focus on Shakespeare. This prestigious award is conferred annually during the SAA’s Annual Luncheon. To be eligible, applicants must be SAA members in good standing, and dissertations must be approved between September 1, 2024, and September 1, 2025. This prize encourages innovative research and scholarship in Shakespeare studies.

The Faculty Travel Grant for AGU Annual Meeting supports early-to-mid career faculty from under-resourced institutions, including community colleges and minority-serving institutions. This program aims to facilitate attendance at the AGU Annual Meeting, which attracts over 22,000 geoscience professionals globally. Awardees receive a $1,700 travel stipend, access to professional development workshops, and networking opportunities, enabling them to enhance their research and teaching capabilities through collaboration and innovation.

Hermann K. Brauer Memorial Scholarship Fund

Students must be preparing for a professional career in medicine, dentistry, nursing, engineering or other science, teaching or law. The scholarship will not be used for career preparation in veterinary medicine, funeral direction, mortuary science, or in the ministry. The student must demonstrate clear financial need. To maintain the scholarship, the student must remain in good academic standing as defined by the college or university and have no failing subject. The student must demonstrate clear financial need. The Small Dams Program by the Lower Platte North NRD offers cost-share funding for landowners to construct small dams for flood control and drainage improvement. Eligible participants can receive up to 65% funding, or 75% in priority watersheds, with a maximum of $15,000 per project. Additional funding may be available based on specific site conditions. This initiative aims to enhance watershed management and support local landowners in sustainable land use practices.

This scholarship is part of the college's commitment to workforce development and aims to provide financial assistance to incoming students. Established in 1893, MSU has a rich history of transforming lives through education, research, and outreach. A limited number of scholarships are available, reflecting MSU's dedication to accessible higher education.

Project Lead The Way is offering a rolling grant for schools to implement the PLTW Biomedical Science program for the 2026-2029 academic years. Eligible schools can receive up to $14,000 to cover participation fees and training costs. This grant encourages public, private, and charter schools across the U.S. to enhance their science curriculum, supporting students with engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Schools must commit to offering specific courses during the grant period to qualify for funding.
