Scholarships

Cherokee Nation Foundation offers a diverse range of scholarships to help reverse the trend of rising student debt. Students may receive up to two CNF scholarships per academic year. All opportunities are reserved for Cherokee Nation citizens, unless otherwise noted in the description.

Bill Rabbit Legacy Art Scholarship

Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited, four-year, higher education institution pursuing a degree in fine arts or art education with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Accepted focuses include drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery, traditional beadwork and textiles. Three pictures of artwork must be included with application for consideration. This is a one-year scholarship reserved for Cherokee Nation and United Keetoowah Band citizens residing within the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional area.

Brent & Janees Taylor RSU Business Scholarship

Applicant must be an undergraduate student majoring in business at Rogers State University with a minimum 2.5 GPA. This is a one-year scholarship awarded in the fall semester, reserved for a Cherokee Nation citizen residing in Rogers or Mayes County.

MATRA Scholarship

Awards:

One time award of $7,500. Students may reapply for this scholarship for continued support based on their GPA for up to three years.

The Champion At Large Scholarship, offered by the Cherokee Nation Foundation, supports Cherokee Nation citizens who are full-time students or graduating high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0. This one-year scholarship is specifically for those residing outside the Cherokee Nation jurisdiction and accepted into a two-year or four-year higher education institution. It aims to alleviate student debt and enhance educational opportunities for Cherokee students.

Margaret A. Stafford Nursing Scholarship

Award:

• One time award of $2,000. 

Michael J. & Hannah George Koziski College Scholarship

Awards:

4-year award of $10,000 each year, renewable if GPA of 3.0 is maintained

Ken Cicerale Memorial Music Scholarship

Award:

• One time award of $1,000. 

Keisha M. Michael Memorial Scholarship

Essay: Topic:

• “How a college education will help me make an impact on the community and affect my life.”

Award:

• One time award of $1,500. Awardees can re-apply.

Julie H. Shenk Memorial Scholarship

Award:

• One time award of $1,000.

George H. Henry Award

Award:

• One-time award of $500 awarded in each of the Capital and Cape Henlopen School Districts. 

The Xander Corso Memorial Scholarship, established by the North Georgia Community Foundation, supports Hall County public high school seniors demonstrating financial need and academic merit. Launched in 2018 in honor of Xander Corso, this scholarship encourages students who exemplify service and character. Recipients must plan to attend an accredited institution within the University System of Georgia, fostering a commitment to education and community engagement.

The William T. Carlisle Memorial Scholarship, administered by the North Georgia Community Foundation, offers $10,000 in financial assistance to graduating seniors from Hall County, Georgia. This need-based scholarship provides $2,500 annually for up to four years, contingent upon maintaining eligibility. Applicants must enroll full-time at an accredited U.S. college or university and demonstrate financial need, ensuring support for local students pursuing higher education.

The Toyota Industries Compressor Parts America (TICA) Community Scholarship, managed by the North Georgia Community Foundation, offers financial support to Jackson County high school seniors. Established in 2015, this renewable scholarship requires recipients to maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 while enrolling full-time in an accredited U.S. educational institution. FCA Foundation Scholarship

Award:

• One time award of $5,000. 

The Tommy Aaron/Charlie Aaron Foundation Scholarship, managed by the North Georgia Community Foundation, supports graduating seniors from Hall County or Gainesville City public schools and Lakeview Academy. This $10,000 scholarship, distributed over four years, promotes academic achievement and integrity through golf. Eligible applicants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, demonstrate financial need, and exhibit strong character traits. This initiative aims to empower local students to pursue higher education while honoring the values of sportsmanship and respect.

Atlantis Scholarship for Excellence

Award:

• 4-year award of $5,000 per year. Recipients will be reviewed annually and must maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

The Wilmington Country Club Centennial Scholarship, managed by the Delaware Community Foundation, offers a one-time award of $2,000. This scholarship is aimed at current or former employees of SoDel Concepts in Sussex County who are pursuing a degree at an accredited institution. In 2024-2025, the DCF awarded a record $850,000 in scholarships to support students' educational pursuits, promoting equity and opportunity in Delaware.

The Rambo Rozi Berbarian Scholarship, offered by the Delaware Community Foundation, provides a one-time award of $500 to current students at the Owens Campus of Delaware Technical Community College. Applicants must participate in a study abroad course in any field and demonstrate financial need. This scholarship aims to support students in their educational pursuits and enhance opportunities for personal growth through international experiences.

Richey Scholarship, offered by the Delaware Community Foundation, provides a one-time award of $50,000 to support students from Delaware who are accepted into accredited medical school programs in the U.S. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 to be considered for continued support. The TD Automotive Compressor Georgia (TACG) Community Scholarship, managed by the North Georgia Community Foundation, offers financial assistance to high school seniors in Jackson County, Georgia. Established in 2006, the scholarship supports students who maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and plan to enroll full-time at accredited colleges or vocational schools. This initiative aims to enhance educational opportunities and foster community development through ongoing support for local students.

The Siamak Yari Engineering Scholarship, funded by the North Georgia Community Foundation, offers a one-time award to full-time college juniors or seniors pursuing engineering degrees at accredited institutions in Georgia. Eligible applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate financial need. The Ryan B.
