The Planning and Technical Assistance Grant Program by the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation aims to support nonprofits in enhancing their organizational capabilities. Selection criteria include curiosity about Italy, maturity, and limited travel experience. Preference is given to current Mather House residents. This opportunity aims to inspire a new generation to appreciate the beauty and value of Italian culture.

The Winter Grant Cycle by the Community Foundation Serving Western Virginia supports initiatives within the City of Martinsville and the counties of Henry and Patrick. Established in 1988, the foundation promotes community growth by administering Unrestricted Funds to address diverse needs. Grants are usually awarded for specific purposes within a year and exclude support for deficit reduction, religious programs, or fundraising events. This program fosters impactful contributions to enhance community welfare.

The Women in Philanthropy Grant Program, supported by the Community Foundation Serving Western Virginia, aims to empower nonprofit organizations in Roanoke, Salem, and Martinsville. Grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 are available for innovative projects addressing community challenges. The program prioritizes well-planned initiatives that involve underserved populations and ensure efficient resource use, fostering collaboration among nonprofit entities to maximize impact without duplicating efforts.

The Ed Rachal Foundation Grant supports charitable, scientific, literary, and educational endeavors in Texas, as established by Ed Rachal's last will in 1964. This private foundation exclusively awards grants to IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and governmental entities. All funding must be used for exempt purposes within Texas, and applicants are limited to one application per fiscal year. The foundation's mission is to benefit the community through impactful projects.

The Mitzvah Fund for Good Deeds, established in 2012, provides gap funding to non-profits in Baltimore. It supports diverse initiatives, including COVID-19 kits for students and resource cards for families in need. Eligible organizations must hold 501(c)(3) status, serve Baltimore City, and adhere to non-discrimination policies. However, the fund does not support start-ups, capital projects, or initiatives outside the Baltimore region, ensuring focused impact within the community.

Black Hills Area Community Foundation

We invest in nonprofits, help donors enjoy giving, and manage initiatives to address key issues. We’re the only Community Foundation solely focused on serving the Black Hills area, spanning Butte, Meade, Lawrence, Pennington, Custer, Oglala Lakota, and Fall River counties.

As of 2026, Black Hills Area Community Foundation manages $100 million in assets and has invested more than $45 million in grants and scholarships since its establishment in 2006.

Community Action Grant

The Community Action Grant is offered to nonprofit endowment holders that employ creative ideas, leverage community partnerships and focus on sustainable practices.

There are two types: Community Action Grant ($50,000); and Community Action Grant ($20,000)

Community Action Grant ($50,000)

The Community Action Grant is available to nonprofits holding an agency endowment fund at the Black Hills Area Community Foundation. This grant will be awarded to an organization employing creative ideas, leveraging community partnerships, and focusing on sustainable practices.  

The Roscommon County Community Foundation (RCCF) provides essential grant funding to 501(C)(3) non-profit organizations, schools, and government agencies in Roscommon County. The Foundation promotes diversity, equity, and inclusiveness while adhering to a strict non-discrimination policy. Applicants are encouraged to seek guidance before application submission, ensuring projects align with RCCF's funding criteria. Grants are intended for future projects only, requiring proof of non-profit status and expenditures for approval.

The Stafford Family Charitable Trust, established in 1988, has contributed over $1.5 million to enhance the Central Missouri community. Founded by J.W. "Stan" Stafford and Lois Smith Stafford, the trust supports local colleges and family-oriented organizations. With a focus on capital funding requests, it aids institutions that are tax-exempt and serve the Central Missouri area, including various counties such as Boone, Callaway, and Cole.

The Community Action Grant by the Black Hills Area Community Foundation offers two funding opportunities: $50,000 and $20,000. The $20,000 grant is specifically aimed at nonprofit endowment holders in the Black Hills area, encouraging creative and sustainable community projects. Applications for the $20,000 grant open on June 1, and the selection process is conducted by the BHACF Grants Committee after the deadline. This initiative aims to empower organizations that foster collaboration and positive change in the region.

The Blandin Foundation Scholarships provide financial support ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 annually for students from high schools in the Itasca County area, including Hill City, Remer, Blackduck, Northome, and Bug O Nay Ge Shig. Eligible applicants must be under 25 years old, with a FAFSA Student Aid Index below 30,000, and planning to pursue higher education. This scholarship aims to assist all students, including those who are homeschooled or online.

The Polk County Community Foundation offers Unrestricted Grants to support diverse projects that enhance community value. These grants are available for 501(c)(3) nonprofits, public schools, and government units serving Polk County. The Foundation's flexible funding approach allows for timely responses to community needs, ensuring impactful initiatives. Established in 1975, it thrives on contributions from generous donors, fostering a culture of philanthropy and community engagement. Eligible organizations are encouraged to apply for funding to advance their mission.

Governor's Office of Federal Assistance

The Governor's Office of Federal Assistance (OFA), was established July 1, 2022 and codified within NRS 223.478-486. The Agency provides a range of grant-related support for the legislatively identified stakeholders. With a mission to increase the number of grant dollars Nevada receives, OFA works to reduce and remove barriers to federal grant funding through providing grant resources, advocacy, and coordination, among federal grant applicants across the state. 

The Governor's Office of Federal Assistance also serves as the single point of contact for Nevada’s federal grant applications that are subject to intergovernmental review, supports the Nevada Advisory Council on Federal Assistance, and works with Nevada’s federal delegation on grant-related initiatives.

Grant Matching Program

The Governor’s Office of Federal Assistance’s Grant Matching Program (GMP) is available for state agencies, local agencies, tribal governments, and nonprofits applying for federal or competitive federally funded state pass-through funds within the State of Nevada to meet match/cost share requirements. Applicants must have exhausted all efforts to find available funding, prior to the awarding of the federal grant or up to 90 days after the award date on the federal Notice of Grant Award (NoGA). Grant applications submitted prior to accepting the award will be given priority. 

All applicants must receive a federal or a competitive federally funded state award notification and provide documentation to the Governor’s Office of Federal Assistance. Applications will be reviewed upon submission and awarded throughout the program period on a first-come, firstserved basis. 

The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley offers rolling grant applications for eligible nonprofit organizations in the Mahoning Valley. Funding decisions are typically made within three months after submission. Grants support various needs, including programmatic, general operating, and capital expenses. Organizations connected to the Healthy Community Partnership are prioritized. However, applications from individuals or for activities influencing election campaigns are not eligible. Previous applicants may reapply if declined.

The Rotary Club of Eureka Glyndon 'Sign' and Ruth Smith Endowment Fund supports significant projects that benefit the Eureka community, honoring the legacy of Sign and Ruth Smith. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations and other charitable groups. The focus is on community benefit and the potential reach of the projects. Funding from various sources is encouraged to ensure project completion in a timely manner.

The OEPA: Source Reduction Grants program provides financial assistance to governments, non-profits, and educational institutions for purchasing equipment that promotes reuse practices. Eligible items include water bottle refilling stations and dishwashers. However, costs for installation and maintenance are not covered by the grant. This initiative aims to support sustainable practices in communities by reducing waste through the acquisition of eco-friendly equipment.

The Griffin Family Charitable Foundation Grant, established in 1998 by Anna Margaret Griffin in honor of her father, Dr. Fred Griffin, supports public charities in Audrain and Montgomery Counties. With over $1 million awarded in grants and scholarships, the Foundation focuses on educational, scientific, and charitable initiatives. Dr. Griffin's legacy of service and commitment to the community continues through this foundation, ensuring that vital resources are provided to enhance the lives of local residents.

The Humboldt Research Fellowship for Postdoctoral Researchers, sponsored by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, supports international scholars in advancing their research in Germany. Eligible candidates must have completed their doctorate within the last four years and can apply for fellowships ranging from 6 to 24 months. The fellowship includes benefits such as a monthly stipend of 2,500 EUR, travel allowances, and insurance subsidies, promoting academic collaboration and exchange.

The Delta County & Delta County Youth Advisory Committee Grants aim to enhance the quality of life for residents in Delta County, Michigan. Grants, generally not exceeding $2000, are awarded to non-profit organizations for specific charitable purposes that benefit the community. The Foundation operates without discrimination and encourages projects that address community needs. Note that grants are typically one-time awards, emphasizing the importance of sustainable impact.

The SCCF Mini Grants aim to enhance the Schoolcraft County community by providing financial support to non-profit organizations. These grants are awarded biannually, focusing on specific projects that meet community needs without creating ongoing obligations. The Foundation ensures a fair evaluation process, welcoming diverse applications while maintaining a commitment to inclusivity. By fostering youth involvement and responsible management of endowments, the Foundation strives to address evolving local challenges effectively.

The State Fair of Texas offers sponsorships to local nonprofit organizations in the South Dallas/Fair Park community. This initiative aims to support organizations that provide essential services and foster positive change. Eligible organizations must choose between applying for a grant or a sponsorship, as funding cannot be received for both in the same year. This commitment enhances community engagement and promotes ongoing generosity among citizens and corporations.

The Belmont County Enrichment Fund Grant, established in 2013 by local landowners and Rice Energy, aims to enhance the quality of life in Belmont County, Ohio. It supports 501(c)(3) nonprofits, schools, and emergency services, funding impactful projects that foster community betterment. The fund prioritizes donor intent and adapts to emerging community needs. However, it does not support salaries, fundraising events, or completed projects. The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley administers this vital initiative.

The CCFC Capacity Building Mini-Grants program offers funding to nonprofits aiming to enhance their organizational and financial stability. These grants support various projects, such as strategic planning, board development, and technology planning, enabling organizations to better fulfill their missions. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations based in specific Midlands counties, particularly those serving underrepresented populations. This initiative seeks to strengthen nonprofit infrastructure and governance for sustainable growth.
