Cape Coral Kiwanis Foundation Grant

Cape Coral Kiwanis Foundation Inc
Private
Lee County, Florida
Unspecified amount

Cape Coral Kiwanis Foundation

At the Cape Coral Kiwanis Foundation, our mission is helping children, children at risk, under served children, and the children who need help most.

Kiwanis helps kids around the world and local clubs support our communities and the international organization takes on large challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty. We are generous with our time and donations. We are creative with our ideas. We are passionate about making a difference for children. And we have fun along the way.

For more than a century, Kiwanis has created opportunities for children to be curious, safe and healthy regardless of the community in which they live. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things can happen.

Cape Coral Kiwanis Grants

The Kiwanis Club of Cape Coral supports children and our community by providing grants to organizations in Lee County through the Kiwanis Foundation of Cape Coral, our 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.

Grants to Service-Leadership programs, events, and projects involving children will receive priority in funding.

PNW Kiwanis Foundation New Club Opening Mini Grant

Pacific Northwest Kiwanis Foundation
Association/Society

US $500

About the Pacific Northwest Kiwanis Foundation

Through Helping Hands Fellowships, memorial gifts, and bequests, the Foundation provides a variety of ways to leave a lasting legacy for the children and youth of the Pacific Northwest.

Every member of a Kiwanis club in the Pacific Northwest District is also a member of the Pacific Northwest Kiwanis Foundation.

Our Purpose

The Pacific Northwest Kiwanis Foundation is a non-profit charitable corporation founded in 1985 and endorsed by the Pacific Northwest District of Kiwanis International:

  • To promote the sponsored youth groups of the Pacific Northwest Kiwanis District. These include: Circle K (college/university students); Key Clubs (high school students); Builders Clubs (middle school students); K Kids (elementary school students); and Aktion Clubs (adults with disabilities).
  • To assist needy persons – particularly youth
  • To assist worthy youth to attain vocational excellence
  • To aid the handicapped and disadvantaged

Specific emphasis is directed to promotion and support of sponsored youth groups particularly through scholarships and leadership training.

Grants

The PNW Kiwanis Foundation provides support for children, youth, and the disabled in the Pacific Northwest through grants designated for Kiwanis-sponsored projects.

During the last 2 years the PNW Kiwanis Foundation gave away over $20,000 in grant money.

PNW Kiwanis Foundation New Club Opening Mini Grant

The PNW Kiwanis Foundation will provide a $500 mini grant to new clubs to help kick start their charitable giving. Clubs are required to provide us with a “bragging-rights” status report and pictures of how these monies were used after completion of their project.

Purpose

Grants provide limited opportunities for Kiwanis clubs to receive financial assistance with a key project benefiting children or youth in their community. Funded projects may also provide an opportunity to generate exposure for the Foundation and its activities.

Grants must be in keeping with the purpose of the Foundation, which generally is to support children and youth in the Pacific Northwest. Projects that fall outside the Pacific Northwest may be quite worthy of support but would not qualify for a grant from the Foundation.

Club Support

The Foundation does not want to support a project that is not supported by the local Kiwanis club. That is why all grant requests must be accompanied by a letter of support from the Kiwanis club.

To improve their success rate, organizations seeking grants for youth-focused programs should collaborate with schools and local organizations to strengthen their applications. Additionally, they should consider incorporating the following elements in their proposals:

  • Showcase measurable impact – Identify the key goals of the program and how they directly benefit youth (e.g., improved academic performance, increased leadership skills, better mental health). Show how the program’s impact extends beyond the immediate participants (e.g., improved school attendance, better family relationships, increased college enrollment), and focus on measurable improvements tied to the program’s objectives.
  • Align projects with funder priorities – Carefully review the funder’s guidelines and past grants to understand their specific priorities related to youth (e.g., education, mental health, leadership development). Explain how the grant will allow you to increase capacity, improve services, or reach more youth and show how the project will continue to support the funder’s priorities beyond the grant period. It is important to clearly show that the project’s goals, methods, and outcomes are in direct alignment with the funder’s mission and priorities and how the funding will amplify the impact.
  • Demonstrate community involvement – Explain how input from youth, parents, educators, and local leaders influenced the program’s design and goals. Describe how the community is actively involved in the program’s implementation (e.g., volunteering, mentoring, outreach). The goal is to show that the program is deeply rooted in the community and that both youth and local stakeholders are actively engaged in shaping and sustaining its success.
