The Carolyn P. The Kentucky Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC Grant aims to support local school districts and community organizations in developing effective out-of-school programs to enhance student achievement and social development. With an award amount of $150,000, this grant focuses on providing academic, artistic, and cultural enrichment for students from high-poverty schools, ensuring they meet state academic standards through engaging and comprehensive programming.

The Elsa Heisel Sule Foundation Grant supports 501(c)(3) organizations in the Greater Cincinnati area, focusing on education, health, arts, and community welfare. Established in 2004, the foundation prioritizes projects that enhance community well-being, ensuring grants are awarded to nonprofits with operating budgets under $10 million. Organizations must apply annually and adhere to specific eligibility criteria, including geographical and operational restrictions. The foundation aims to empower local initiatives that promote positive societal impact.

The Loren Richards Elder Care Scholarship, funded by the Blue Grass Community Foundation, provides a $2,000 annual award for third or fourth year undergraduate students in Kentucky. This scholarship aims to support students pursuing degrees that directly impact the elderly population. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and remain full-time students to qualify for renewal. Matching Gifts Program

Full-time associates and recent retirees (up to 5 years after retirement) of Regions and its affiliated companies can request a Regions Matching Gift to eligible organizations. The recipient organization must be a 501(c) or 170(c) organization located in the Regions footprint (except for accredited educational institutions, which may be located anywhere in the United States) and has a primary mission that clearly fits one of these categories:

• Economic and community development: Supporting economic prosperity through affordable housing, job creation, small-business development, homebuyer education and retention, neighborhood revitalization and stabilization, food security/hunger relief.
• Education and workforce readiness: Supporting career prosperity through student competency and skill building, college and career readiness, educational access and success, credential building and employment and educator training and resources.
• Financial wellness: Supporting financial prosperity through K-12 and college financial education, adult and workforce financial empowerment.
• Arts and culture: Organizations that promote visual or performing arts, historic or science museums, zoos, botanical gardens, libraries, parks or public radio and television.

Regions Matching Gifts for Recent Retirees

Retirees of Regions and its affiliated companies are eligible for the Matching Gift Program for up to 5 years after retirement (the gift date must be within the first 5 years of retirement). Regions will match donations of $25 or more, up to a total of $1,000 per year per retiree.

The Folk and Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Grant by the Kentucky Arts Council aims to preserve cultural heritage by funding mentor artists who teach essential skills to less experienced artists. This program supports partnerships between mentor and apprentice folk artists, fostering the continuation of traditional arts within communities. Eligible applicants must be Kentucky residents aged 21 and older for mentors and 16 and older for apprentices, with funding covering stipends, travel, and supplies for up to one year.

The King’s Daughters and Sons Foundation of Kentucky supports non-profit organizations in Kentucky, focusing on health, education, and general welfare. Last year, they awarded over $645,000 to various projects, emphasizing capital expansion and scholarships. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) entities, while ineligibilities include support for individuals, political entities, and annual operating costs. This foundation aims to address unmet community needs, particularly for at-risk youth and vulnerable populations throughout the Commonwealth.

The Arts in Rural Places Grant, offered by South Arts, aims to enhance access to the arts in rural and isolated communities across nine southern states. Grants of up to $3,000 support public activities featuring Southern artists, requiring a dollar-for-dollar cash match. Eligible organizations must host at least two public events and engage a professional artist, promoting cultural engagement and artistic expression within these communities.

Casey’s Donation Requests support vital community needs in Education, Hunger, and Community Servants. Eligible 501(c)3 organizations within Casey’s communities can apply through the online Donation Request Form. Requests are reviewed continuously, with feedback provided via email within one month. Priority is given to organizations that haven't received donations in the current giving calendar year, which runs from May 1 to April 30.

The Southern Equality Research Grant, offered by the Campaign for Southern Equality, aims to empower students and early career researchers to conduct crucial studies on LGBTQ+ issues in the South. With over a third of LGBTQ+ Americans residing in this region, there is a significant need for research to address legal protections and social inequities. This initiative seeks to elevate the voices and experiences of LGBTQ+ Southerners, fostering a deeper understanding of the policies affecting their lives.

The HOKC Good Works Program offers small grants for newer nonprofit organizations in Kentucky. Grants of up to $5,000 are available for those with 1-5 years of existence, while requests under $2,499 qualify as small grants. Since 1951, the program has distributed over $68 million to support various categories, including community enhancement, education, and health services, benefiting millions of individuals across the state.
