Best Grants for Teachers Continuing Education in Texas

The Harry E. and Eda L. Montandon Charitable Trust Grant provides financial support to Texas-based organizations serving handicapped, disabled, or disadvantaged individuals, including children. The ESC hub will hold an annual summit focusing on supports for tutoring best practices and implementation as outlined in TEC §28.0211, facilitate a cohort lead by a contracted organization in the fundamental components of outcomes-based contracting (OBC) implementation, and assist in the development of supports that can be used as examples for other school systems in implementation of OBC.

Direct Administrative Costs

TEA limits the amount of direct administrative costs for this grant program to no more than 5% of the total grant award.

Indirect Costs

For this grant program, the grantee may claim a maximum for allowable indirect costs equal to its current approved unrestricted indirect cost rate.

PLTW Biomedical Science- Program Expansion

MATHCOUNTS Grant

Program Description

The purpose of the MATHCOUNTS grant is to provide financial support to the Texas Engineering Foundation (TEF) in its efforts to sponsor and lead the Texas MATHCOUNTS program. MATHCOUNTS provides mathematics programs and state-of-the-art supplemental math instructional materials to build math skills, promote critical thinking and problem solving, and heighten interest of middle-school students in mathematics. Through the MATHCOUNTS Competition Program, students take part in individual and team competitions. Competitions begin at the local level with the opportunity for winners to move on to compete at regional and national levels.
