The purpose of the Middlesex Community College Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) public charity incorporated in Connecticut, is twofold:

Rotary Club of Middletown Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a returning student who is a resident of Middletown, Portland, Durham or Higganum, based on academic achievement, who would otherwise be unable to attend college.

Rowland and Ruth Beaulieu Business Administration Scholarship

This award was established by Suellen Beaulieu in memory of her parents, Rowland and Ruth.

The PLTW Launch program, in collaboration with Burns and McDonnell, aims to enhance STEM education by expanding access to innovative educational modules in eligible schools. This initiative supports public and charter schools in targeted counties, focusing on increasing student engagement in STEM fields. Through grant funding, participating schools can introduce new PLTW Launch modules and provide essential training for teachers, fostering a richer learning environment to prepare students for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The PositiveNRG Grant Program, led by NRG Energy, focuses on investing in communities through choice and education, community engagement, resilience, sustainability, and well-being. The program is open to non-profit organizations and governmental entities that can demonstrate a meaningful impact. Preference is given to initiatives that foster community involvement and inclusiveness. However, sponsorships for religious or political activities are generally not supported. This scholarship was established for a student pursuing a career in law enforcement as a criminal justice major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
