The organization is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) Charitable Trust supported by members of the NH Beverage Association, the Beverage Distributors of New Hampshire Association and the New Hampshire Grocers Association. This collaborative effort by food and beverage companies has developed comprehensive programs to address, litter issues, recycling challenges, environmental awareness and education.

What We Do

We accomplish these goals by offering municipal recycling grants and signs, anti-litter programs and technical assistance to recycling programs. New Hampshire communities are eligible to apply for funding to assist with the purchase of recycling equipment. This includes monies to purchase curbside collection bins, balers, crushers, roll-off containers and other equipment that will help a community achieve higher diversion rates.

Municipal Recycling and Storage Equipment Grants

New Hampshire communities are eligible to apply for funding to assist with the purchase of recycling equipment. Grant applications are considered on an individual basis and funding may be up to 20% of the purchase price of the equipment. While we will not help with the purchase of land, studies or buildings, we do help fund the purchase of balers, crushers, roll-off containers and other equipment that will help a community achieve higher diversion rates.

Recycling Equipment grant applications are accepted on a rolling schedule, with current applications being considered every two months and up to 9 months given to allow communities to purchase and install suitable equipment. Grants are paid as a reimbursement to communities after they have purchased the equipment. Equipment purchased with NHtB grant money must be used exclusively for recycling. Communities that discontinue their recycling programs must either repay NHtB or, where applicable, work with NHtB to transfer that equipment to another community for use in recycling.

The Agnes M. Lindsay Trust Grants provide essential financial support to nonprofit organizations in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont, focusing on Health and Welfare, Dental Health, Camperships, Education, and Homeless Shelters. With a history of over 81 years, the Trust aims to assist those in need, especially in underserved populations. While they are currently not accepting unsolicited requests from colleges and universities, they continue to support initiatives that enhance community welfare and educational opportunities.

The Endowment for Health's Opportunity Grants Program offers funding between $1,000 and $20,000 to improve health outcomes for New Hampshire residents, particularly the vulnerable and underserved. Projects that advance health equity, leverage resources, and demonstrate measurable outcomes are prioritized. Grant applications are accepted monthly, with decisions made within six weeks. Welcome to Children’s Scholarship Fund’s New Hampshire program. We provide scholarships to empower low-income New Hampshire families to choose the education that best fit their children’s needs, regardless of their income or zip code. CSF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity scholarship organization (Tax ID number 13-4002189). During the 2024-25 school year, 827 children statewide are using CSF New Hampshire Education Tax Credit scholarships at schools that provided them with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and reach their full potential. At the same time, 5,321 New Hampshire children are using Education Freedom Accounts administered by CSF to fund tuition at the school of their choice, tutoring, online learning programs, educational supplies, and other educational expenses.
