The P/Arts Program

The P/Arts Program was created to strengthen connections between the philanthropic, arts, and education communities, fostering meaningful collaborations that enrich learning and inspire growth.

Eligible applicants must be accredited 501(c)(3) organizations that integrate visual and/or performing arts education into their work. Through P/Arts, we seek to support programs that:

• Revitalize learning by enhancing and transforming outdated public school curricula.
• Motivate and inspire students of all ages, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.
• Empower educators by deepening professional development opportunities for teachers, professors, and childcare providers.
• Bridge the gap between school and home, creating continuity in learning and support for children and families.
• Apply evidence-based, arts-based instruction proven to strengthen both academic and personal outcomes.
• Address inequities in education by helping to close the achievement gap and expand access to high-quality learning opportunities.

At its heart, the P/Arts Program reflects our belief that the arts are a powerful driver of educational transformation, unlocking potential not just in the classroom but in entire communities.

South Arts, Inc. offers Professional Development Grants for Arts Organizations to enhance the skills and knowledge of Southern arts entities. These grants aim to support operational stability and growth, focusing on organizations with budgets of $500,000 or less. Eligible applicants include a range of arts organizations within South Arts' nine-state service area. The program emphasizes first-time opportunities and requires a dollar-for-dollar cash match, ensuring a commitment to professional development in the arts.

The Republic Bank Grants program supports non-profit organizations in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Tennessee, and Florida that enhance community welfare through various initiatives such as education, healthcare, and civic projects. By providing financial and in-kind donations, Republic Bank aims to strengthen community ties and foster impactful change. Eligible organizations must have IRS 501(c) status and submit grant requests in writing at least two months in advance, ensuring timely support for their initiatives.

The Semnani Family Foundation, established in 1993, is dedicated to supporting marginalized communities worldwide through health, education, and disaster relief initiatives. Founded by Khosrow and Ghazaleh Semnani, it began by funding an orphanage in Romania. The foundation also operates locally, providing free healthcare through the Maliheh Free Clinic in Utah. Grants must be utilized within the United States and cannot be awarded to individuals, political candidates, or lobbying efforts. The Bank of America Foundation Sponsorship Program aims to enhance economic mobility and social progress in low- and moderate-income communities through partnerships with nonprofit organizations. With over 120 years of commitment to philanthropy, Ameriprise Financial engages employees in volunteerism and grantmaking. Key giving areas include hunger relief, housing stability, and community development. Priority is given to organizations with active volunteer engagement from Ameriprise advisors and employees, creating a meaningful impact on financial independence and community resilience.

The Specific Cultural Projects (SCP) Grant, funded by the Florida Department of State: Arts and Culture, aims to support cultural projects, programs, and exhibitions that align with the state's cultural objectives. This grant is available to both organizations and individual Florida artists to promote arts education, community development, and enhance cultural partnerships. Eligible entities include public entities and non-profit corporations. The application period runs from July 1 to June 30.

The Pérez CreARTE Grants, funded by the Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation, aim to enhance South Florida's vibrant arts scene. The Fund is managed by a Board of Directors, including the Mayor and Town Council, ensuring strategic oversight and community engagement.

The General Program Support Grant, offered by the Florida Department of State: Arts and Culture, aims to bolster arts and cultural organizations across Florida. This funding supports a variety of general program activities, including performances, educational programs, and cultural exhibits. With four distinct types of support available, this grant encourages excellence in arts education and facilitates collaboration among local arts agencies, ensuring that cultural initiatives thrive throughout the state.

The Tourist Development Council (TDC) Grants Program offers funding to organizations/events promoting Miami-Dade County as a tourist destination. The program focuses on tourist-oriented sports, cultural events, and television projects to attract visitors and encourage overnight stays. TDC prioritizes projects that generate tourism, especially in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year. With varying maximum requests based on project budgets, the TDC aims to enhance Miami-Dade's tourism appeal locally and internationally.

The Cross-Sector Impact Grants by South Arts aim to enhance community vitality through artistic collaborations focused on health and wellness. Grants up to $15,000 support projects that bridge arts with sectors like health, emphasizing partnerships between artists and organizations. Eligible projects must include public activities to foster community engagement and creativity. This initiative prioritizes diverse representation, particularly from BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ led organizations, and aims to reach rural and underserved communities.

South Arts, Inc. is offering Accessibility Grants of up to $2,500 to nonprofit organizations in the Southeast to enhance accessibility in arts programs for individuals with disabilities. The grants aim to foster inclusivity by supporting projects that engage disabled artists and audiences. Organizations must be located within the South Arts Service region and focus on the arts. Priority will be given to new applicants and those serving BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, with a commitment to rural areas.

Proposals must be for projects commencing at least a year after submission.

The O'Reilly Automotive Foundation Grant focuses on enhancing community welfare through philanthropic initiatives that support economic stability, workforce development, health services, and disaster relief. Established in 2020, the Foundation seeks to empower underrepresented individuals and organizations in the U.S. by addressing vital community needs.
