Once these needs are identified, CIS customizes supports for campuses, students, and families that are uniquely tailored to the identified needs and provides schoolwide services and individual case management to support both students and the entire school. CIS engages the community as a vital part of the process and strives to connect the campus and students to needed community resources. This comprehensive model includes effective program administration; trained professional staff on each campus, community resource coordination; holistic, case management for students and families with significant needs and schoolwide services aligned to campus goals.

Carl T. Anderson Family Scholarship

The Carl T. Anderson Family Scholarship was opened in 2007 by Carl's daughters in his honor. The endowed scholarship fund supports graduating high school seniors from Wichita Falls ISD planning to attend Texas Christian University, for any field of study. Scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years depending on grades. 

The Donald W. and Glennis A. Kaufman Research Award supports ecological research in the Great Plains and Canada Prairie Provinces, focusing on native mammals, especially rodents and shrews. Offered by the American Society of Mammalogists, this annual $2,500 award is available to graduate students (master's or Ph.D.) from any nationality. 2026-2028 Bluebonnet Learning Beacon Grant

The Bluebonnet Learning Beacons Grant Program identifies and elevates Texas school systems that demonstrate strong, sustained implementation of grades K–5 math or reading language arts (RLA) Bluebonnet Learning instructional materials, supported by effective instructional systems and structures within their school system.

Through this program, Bluebonnet Learning Beacons are supported to:

• Serve as learning hubs by establishing Bluebonnet Learning Labs that allow other Texas school systems to observe rigorous, grade-level instruction and the systems, routines, and practices that enable successful Bluebonnet Learning implementation.
• Engage in a statewide community of practice, convening monthly with fellow Bluebonnet Learning Beacon school systems to strengthen implementation, share best practices, and collaboratively address challenges using a solutions-oriented approach.
• Amplify effective practice through the development of collateral - such as site visits, case studies, and classroom videos or teacher interviews—that highlight implementation bright spots, build momentum for Bluebonnet Learning use, and showcase student engagement in Bluebonnet Learning classrooms.

The Edith Lois Wilson 4-H Scholarship is designed for graduating high school seniors from District One of the Texas Agricultural Extension Service who plan to attend college in fields such as Human Science, Home Economics, or Family and Consumer Science. Eligible applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, be in the top 25% of their class, and be active 4-H members. This scholarship supports students in achieving their educational goals while contributing to their communities.

The Deaf Smith Electrical Scholarship, provided by the Amarillo Area Foundation, supports students from specific Texas counties pursuing higher education at accredited institutions. Eligible applicants must be members or dependents of the Deaf Smith Electric Cooperative.
