Non-profit Grant

Program Description

Hamilton County provides discretionary grants for nonprofit organizations that meet certain criteria. Awards are provided based on application score and funding available. The Grant Program is intended to provide funding for services provided by organizations that without providing those services the County Hospital and/or other governmental entity may need to consider the development of such programming.

Any funds awarded must be supported by other funding sources or documented in-kind services and may only be distributed to organizations headquartered in Hamilton County. Preference for funding will go to those organizations that provide services in furtherance of County goals and without the providing of these services the County Hospital and/or other governmental entity may need to consider the development of such programming.

The Community Foundation Animal Welfare Endowments Grant, established in 1981 and now part of the Community Foundation of West Texas, provides essential funding to nonprofit organizations in the South Plains area. South Dakota Arts Council 

Established in 1966 and funded by the State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, the South Dakota Arts Council (SDAC) is a state agency serving South Dakotans and their communities through the arts. Recognizing the importance of creativity in the lives of all South Dakotans, the Council makes quality arts accessible throughout the state by providing grants, services and information to artists, arts organizations, schools and the public. The Council is the advisory board to the SDAC staff within the Department of Tourism. Council members are appointed by the Governor.

Interim Grants

Funding for special arts projects or unexpected opportunities. Activities must take place before June 30, 2027. Regular season programming is not funded.

The General Operating Support (GOS) Grants offer three years of unrestricted funding to arts organizations in South Carolina. These grants aim to strengthen organizations that provide ongoing arts experiences and services. Eligible applicants include various arts organizations focused on producing, presenting, or education. Funding is contingent upon factors like panel review and the size of the applicant's budget, with awards varying annually based on available funds.

The Ladd & Katherine Hancher Library Foundation Grant supports public libraries serving populations of 50,000 or less in Texas. Grants range from $2,000 to $40,000 and prioritize projects that contribute educationally to the community. However, funding is not available for operating expenses or salaries. Libraries must be accredited and cannot receive grants for two consecutive years. This initiative encourages unique library vernacular in all applications.

CPF_Community Library Municipal Grant (CMLG) SFY26-27

Summary:

One million dollars of administrative funds from the ARPA Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund program have been reallocated to the Community Learning Center (CLC) Municipal Grant Program, with U.S. Treasury’s approval, to enable investment in those municipalities that were not part of the initial CLC Municipal Grant Program subawards. This $1 million is designated for use by public libraries located in the 17 Learn365RI municipalities that do not have community learning center projects underway. PRO is administering this round of grants, known as the Community Library Municipal Grant (CLMG) program.
