The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky (FHKY) is a nonprofit organization funded by an endowment that aims to transform our state so that every Kentuckian has what they need to live a healthy life. Since it opened its doors in 2001, the Foundation has invested millions in health policy advocacy, research, and demonstration projects across the Commonwealth.

Partnerships for Success Grants

Partnerships for Success (PFS) provides funding to enhance and support Kentucky community-based organizations that serve communities with limited opportunities. Applicants should focus on reducing alcohol, nicotine (including vaping), and cannabis use/misuse and related consequences by implementing evidence-based prevention programs, practices, and policies that are trauma and resilience informed, and responsive to local and community context. The Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky (FHKY) is facilitating this funding opportunity as one of its pass-through grant programs. The project is supported by the Kentucky PFS 2023 Grant via the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Grant H79SP083680.

Grants will provide up to $50,000 in funding for 12 months. 

Goal

To provide funding that enhances and supports evidence-based strategies to prevent alcohol, nicotine (including vaping), and cannabis use/misuse in communities that are at higher risk in Kentucky.

Overview

This funding opportunity allows potential grantees to creatively address localized behavioral health-related issues. Funding is intended to support solutions that address the issues, identified by those who live and work locally, as most relevant to communities that are at higher risk in Kentucky.

Proposed projects should:

• Focus on communities with limited opportunities as the primary focus of a proposed or existing project or program, including leadership and decision-making power.
• Make communities that are at higher risk the primary beneficiaries of the project or program's outcomes.
• Address a substance use challenge identified by the community.
• Plan, develop, implement, and/or sustain a prevention initiative.

The Extension Risk Management Education (ERME) Competitive Grants program aims to enhance the economic viability of agricultural producers through targeted risk management education. Funded by the University of Delaware, this initiative offers grants of up to $75,000 for projects addressing production, marketing, financial, legal, or human risks. The grants are expected to support 12-15 new projects over an 18-month duration, from April 2026 to September 2027, subject to funding availability and application quality.

The Grotto Foundation Grant focuses on enhancing the well-being of individuals and families through community-led initiatives in Minnesota. Organizations can apply if they address at least three of four key areas: Youth Development, Postsecondary Success, Community Safety & Neighborhood Development, and Mentoring. The Foundation invites selected organizations to apply, with grant decisions made three times a year, fostering sustainable solutions for local challenges.

The Johnson County Community Foundation Grant supports initiatives that enhance community welfare in Johnson County. It funds projects that address local challenges and promote health, education, and cultural opportunities. Eligible organizations must have a local presence and a commitment to inclusivity. Grants require a 20% matching contribution and can support various projects, excluding individual grants and religious activities. This funding aims to empower local organizations and improve the quality of life for all residents.

The Michael Madeline Island Fund Grant aims to enhance the quality of life on Madeline Island by supporting nonprofit organizations that focus on educational opportunities, environmental preservation, human services, and cultural heritage. It encourages collaborative funding efforts and prioritizes projects benefiting children and youth. Eligible organizations include those classified as charitable under IRS guidelines and those serving Madeline Island residents. Key examples of funded projects include educational programs and health access initiatives.

The Chowan Community Funds Foundation offers the Unrestricted Endowment Grant Program to support local causes in Chowan County. Established in 2006, this foundation enables nonprofits to address changing community needs through grants ranging from $500 to $5,000. Eligible organizations include tax-exempt charities and local government units. Notably, the program prioritizes initiatives that enhance community life, promote social equity, and support diverse populations without discrimination.

The Rural Initiative Grant Program by the Laura Jane Musser Fund aims to foster collaboration among rural communities in areas like economic development and education. Emphasizing community involvement, it encourages diverse participation and measurable outcomes within 18 months. Grants of up to $25,000 for implementation or $5,000 for planning are available, targeting nonprofit organizations and local governments in select states. This initiative seeks to empower communities to achieve positive change through active engagement and support.

The Morgan Hill Community Foundation is offering Community Charitable Grants totaling $32,000 for local nonprofits and public schools. This initiative aims to fund 10-15 unique projects that enrich the Morgan Hill community. Eligible organizations must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits or schools within the district. Grants support specific community projects in areas such as recreation, education, and health, fostering immediate benefits for residents in need.

The Marion I. Hall Endowment Scholarship supports students at Western Michigan University College of Education and Human Development. To be eligible, applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, be U.S. residents, and pursue a bachelor's degree, preferably in elementary or secondary education. Preference will be given to those preparing for careers in teacher certification programs. This scholarship aims to foster future educators committed to excellence in teaching.

The Regional Water Implementation Grant aims to enhance collaboration among water systems in Kansas by providing funding for preliminary engineering studies. With a maximum funding amount of $1,000,000 for 2024, this grant encourages projects that consolidate systems, expand water supply districts, and connect previously unlinked public water supply systems. A 50% match can be sourced from local or KDHE funds, promoting effective water management across the state.

The Water and Sewer Infrastructure Grant Program, administered by the Kansas Department of Commerce, allocates $1 million in 2024 to support essential water and sewer projects in communities with populations over 5,000. Each eligible project can receive up to $800,000, with a required 25% cash match. Funding is intended for infrastructure improvements, engineering costs, and administrative expenses, making it vital for enhancing community water systems.

The Wheatland County Community Foundation Grant, provided by the Central Montana Foundation, supports non-profit and tax-exempt organizations located in Central Montana. Funded projects must enhance educational, medical, essential services, civic, and cultural initiatives. Each year, grant requests are reviewed, ensuring that projects benefit the community significantly. This grant program is part of a larger effort, involving numerous rural endowment committees dedicated to improving the quality of life in the region.

The Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation is launching its 2024 Community Impact Award cycle, providing up to $10,000 in Operational Support to 501(c)3 organizations serving Camden, Glynn, and McIntosh Counties. The application period runs from May 30 to June 15, with awards announced in mid-October. This year's cycle emphasizes transparency and equity, featuring new guidelines developed in consultation with the Community Impact Committee to aid local non-profits.

Tyson Foods invites sponsorship proposals that reflect its core values and contribute to community welfare, particularly in Springdale, Arkansas, and Dakota Dunes, South Dakota. Proposals should demonstrate clear community benefits, visibility of the event, and outline how funds will be utilized effectively. Organizations are encouraged to apply if they align with Tyson's mission of integrity and stewardship, ensuring that funding can support primary objectives while considering tax-deductible options.

The Grand Forks Community Opportunity Grant Program aims to enhance community life through projects in arts, culture, environmental sustainability, and human rights. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits and public entities serving Grand Forks, Walsh, or Polk County. Projects must start after October 1, 2024, and conclude by September 30, 2025. Preference may be given to new initiatives and applicants, fostering innovation and community engagement.

The Petroleum County Endowment, established by the Central Montana Foundation, supports projects that enhance the quality of life in Central Montana. This fund, created in 1984, prioritizes non-profit organizations serving educational, healthcare, and cultural initiatives. Eligible projects must benefit communities in specific counties, including Petroleum. The Central Montana Foundation, established in 1984, aims to enhance the quality of life in Central Montana through generous donations. The Moore Endowment supports diverse projects, including educational and healthcare initiatives, benefiting local communities. Eligible applicants are non-profit organizations in specific counties that meet legal requirements. The foundation prioritizes projects that serve the largest number of residents, ensuring impactful contributions to the region's development and welfare, with millions awarded in grants since its inception.

Inspire Olympia's Mission

Providing a reliable source of public funding that sustains a healthy, visible, welcoming, and inclusive nonprofit cultural and science sector, making creative cultural experiences accessible for everyone in Olympia.Impact Funding

Inspire Olympia is a voter-approved initiative to increase access to quality arts, sciences, heritage, and cultural experiences across Olympia by expanding offerings and lowering barriers to participation, especially for youth and underserved populations. This multi-year public investment seeks to strengthen our community’s nonprofit cultural organizations so they can extend inspiring, creative cultural programs to everyone.

Funding is distributed to local cultural organizations through contracts for services with the City of Olympia. Following the application process, contracts are awarded to those who best demonstrate how their arts, culture, heritage, and/or science programs benefit people and communities in Olympia. 

Primary Funding Goals

All applicants for Inspire Olympia funding are encouraged to focus on the way their work supports Inspire Olympia’s funding goals:

• Support public programs in arts, culture, heritage, or science.
• Increase access to these programs and reduce barriers to participation, especially for historically underserved populations.
• Support programming by and for culturally or ethnically specific communities and underrepresented groups.
• Expand access to youth education programs in arts, culture, heritage, and science.
• Support the sustainability of and collaboration among cultural sector organizations.

Comprehensive Funding

Comprehensive Funding is open to eligible Olympia-based non-profit cultural organizations that demonstrate an organizational commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and who provide a variety of public and youth programming throughout the year.

Funding Range: Funding Range: Applicants in this category may request up to 20% of the organization’s total annual budget, based on the average of actual income over the last two completed fiscal years, up to a maximum of $85,000 per year for two years. This funding is meant to help organizations sustain and expand programming aligned with Inspire Olympia funding priorities. Inspire Olympia funds are expected to cover a portion of key cultural services listed in funding contracts.

The Rural Community Endowments program, part of the Central Montana Foundation, supports various projects that enhance the quality of life in Central Montana. Established in 1984, the foundation has grown significantly, managing approximately $40 million in assets. The Hobson Endowment committee reviews grant requests biannually, focusing on educational, healthcare, and cultural initiatives. Only registered non-profit organizations in specific counties are eligible for funding, ensuring that resources directly benefit the local community.

The NPS Project Implementation Grant, offered by the Montana Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, provides funding up to $50,000 for projects aimed at reducing nonpoint source pollution. Eligible applicants include government and non-government entities, with a 50% cost-share required for non-government entities. The grant supports initiatives that enhance water quality and improve natural water systems, ensuring the preservation of Montana's valuable water resources.

The Grass Range Community Foundation Grant, managed by the Central Montana Foundation, aims to enhance the quality of life in Central Montana. Established in 1984, this grant supports non-profit organizations in Fergus, Garfield, Judith Basin, Petroleum, and Wheatland Counties. It prioritizes projects benefiting educational, medical, civic, and cultural services. Eligible applicants must be registered and in good standing with the Montana Secretary of State. The grant fosters community development through generous donations, making a significant impact on local initiatives.

The Ezra M. Cutting Trust Grant, established in 1965, supports charitable organizations in Marlborough, Massachusetts, with a focus on youth services and programs that enhance the community's quality of life. Grants typically range from $2,500 to $10,000 and are directed towards special projects that benefit Marlborough residents. Eligible organizations must be located in Marlborough or serve its residents, aiming to foster economic growth, health, education, and cultural activities.

About the Foundation

The MxCC Foundation Supports CT State Middlesex and Meriden Campuses

The purpose of the Middlesex Community College Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) public charity incorporated in Connecticut, is twofold:

• To support the college and its students by receiving, managing, and distributing funds for scholarships and other educational purposes, and
• To generate and strengthen communication and collaboration between the college and the Foundation and business, industry, professional, civic, and educational leaders in the communities served by the college—all of Middlesex County, Meriden and Wallingford in New Haven County, and Rocky Hill in Hartford County.

Removing financial obstacles that bar or inhibit student access to education is the Foundation’s driving force. Scholarships address not only the growing need for financial assistance, but also our perennial wish to celebrate student achievement.

The MxCC Foundation’s charge is to develop external resources that contribute support to student and academic programs, as well as efforts that foster student success.

Tom Melbert Annual Award in Humanities

Recipient must be enrolled in English studies or another humanities area and have an interest/love of literature, painting, the arts or travel.

The Denton Endowment, part of the Central Montana Foundation, aims to enhance the quality of life in Central Montana. Established in 1984, it supports educational, medical, and cultural projects through grants available to registered non-profits in the region. Priority is given to initiatives that benefit the most residents. The Denton Endowment Committee reviews grant requests annually, ensuring that funds are allocated to projects that align with community needs and values.

Illinois Regional Site Readiness Program

Short Description

The Regional Site Readiness Program aims to better prepare sites for industrial development across the state. Input from community leaders and economic development experts has raised the need for flexible funding to support construction and infrastructure improvements to prepare sites for future development. This is the second round of the Regional Site Readiness Program and includes some minor changes from last year’s program.

Objective

Intent is to invest planning and capital resources to enable more rapid and certain industrial development. Investments to better understand needs to sites across the state including planning and due diligence (engineering, environmental, concept plans, etc) and investments to shorten development time frames include infrastructure (electric, natural gas, water & sewer, etc) and other site preparation activities

The Oklahoma Initiative Fund Grant, offered by the Communities Foundation of Oklahoma, aims to strengthen rural communities through funding of up to $15,000. Eligible organizations include 501c3 nonprofits serving populations of 50,000 or less, focusing on areas such as literacy, health services, and food insecurity. Preference is given to community-based organizations within these eligible areas, fostering impactful connections between philanthropists and local needs.
