Awarded to graduating seniors of Sioux Falls Christian High School or a public high school in Sioux Falls, SD.

Mark Bielen Scholarship

Awarded to a graduating senior of an accredited high school in Minnehaha or Lincoln County in South Dakota.

The Alice Knowles Scholarship at Montana State University supports students pursuing a degree in the Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship. With a commitment to educational excellence, MSU offers this scholarship to juniors and above, helping to transform lives through access to higher education. This initiative is part of MSU's broader mission to provide life-changing opportunities that positively impact both individuals and their communities.

The Alice Kane Dahl Nursing Scholarship at Montana State University supports full-time students pursuing a degree from the Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing. Established in 1893, MSU is committed to providing access to transformative education. This scholarship is part of the university's broader initiative to offer financial assistance to incoming students, ensuring that aspiring nurses can fulfill their educational goals and contribute to the healthcare field.

The Alice J. Jones LRES Scholarship at Montana State University supports students pursuing degrees in Land Resources and Environmental Sciences. Eligible applicants must be juniors or seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5, though a 3.0 GPA is preferred. This scholarship reflects MSU's commitment to providing transformative educational opportunities, fostering academic excellence and supporting future leaders in agriculture and environmental sciences.

The William C. Seitz Senior Fellowships at the National Gallery of Art support research on modern and contemporary art. Designed for scholars with a PhD or equivalent professional experience, these fellowships provide a stipend of $50,000, office space, and access to the Gallery's extensive resources. Eligible candidates can reapply after five years, and all must demonstrate proficiency in two languages besides English. This prestigious program fosters a vibrant community of art scholars.

The AAPD Foundation provides Access to Care Grants aimed at ensuring dental care is accessible for all children. As the largest dentist-led charity, it supports community programs that deliver essential dental services. With a focus on innovative ideas and effective grant utilization, the foundation works tirelessly to promote healthy smiles for every child. By partnering with pediatric dentists, it strives to make a meaningful impact in communities nationwide.

The Onyx & Breezy Foundation Grant provides financial support to animal welfare organizations in need. By leveraging funds from generous donors, the foundation aims to help various initiatives, including medical treatment, spay and neuter services, and providing pet food. Eligible applicants must demonstrate non-profit status, while capital improvements and previously covered medical care are excluded from funding. The Maine Health Access Foundation (MeHAF) offers discretionary grants to support small-scale projects that promote health access in Maine. Eligible organizations include 501(c)(3) entities and government bodies, with funding typically up to $5,000 for local projects and $10,000 for statewide initiatives. The program emphasizes innovative approaches that align with MeHAF's mission and requires tangible outcomes within one year. Note that only one grant is permitted per organization annually.

EPSCoR RII Research Fellows Limited Competition

EPSCoR RII: EPSCoR Research Fellows directly aligns with the NSF EPSCoR strategic goal of establishing sustainable Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) professional development pathways that advance workforce development and effects engagement in STEM at national and global levels. EPSCoR RII: EPSCoR Research Fellows provides awards to build research capacity in institutions and transform the career trajectories of investigators and further develop their individual research potential through collaborations with investigators from the nation's premier private, governmental, or academic research institutions and/or centers. The fellowship provides opportunities to establish strong collaborations through extended or periodic collaborative visits to a selected host site. Through collaborative research activities with the host site, Fellows will be able to learn new techniques, develop new collaborations, advance existing partnerships, benefit from access to unique equipment and facilities, and/or shift their research toward potentially transformative new directions. The experiences gained through the fellowships are intended to have lasting impacts that will enhance the Fellows' research trajectories well beyond the award period. The benefits to the Fellows are also expected to improve the research capacity of their institutions and jurisdictions more broadly.

The Dollar General Literacy Foundation offers the DGLF Summer Reading Grants, which support the development and expansion of summer reading programs aimed at Pre-K to 12th grade students, particularly new and below-grade-level readers, including those with learning disabilities. Eligible organizations, such as nonprofits, schools, and libraries within 15 miles of a Dollar General store, can apply for grants up to $3,000 to foster literacy and education initiatives.

The Met: Fellowship in History of Art and Visual Culture offers a unique opportunity for scholars to engage with the museum's vast collections. Designed for PhD students and established scholars, this fellowship promotes interdisciplinary research that combines art history with other fields. Fellows work on independent projects while potentially assisting curatorial departments. With stipends of up to $57,000 and additional travel funds, this program fosters a vibrant community of scholars dedicated to redefining art history.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Fund for Historic Interiors, established by George P. Mitchell in 1997, supports the preservation of historic interiors through grants ranging from $2,500 to $15,000. Eligible applicants include public agencies and nonprofits, while individuals may apply if their project involves a National Historic Landmark. The competitive selection process typically concludes within three months, with grant recipients required to match funds dollar-for-dollar. This initiative promotes education and planning activities crucial for maintaining historic interior integrity.

The Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith Scholarship, managed by the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, offers significant financial support for students pursuing higher education in South Dakota. With over $500,000 awarded annually, this scholarship targets high-achieving seniors from specific counties, encouraging participation in community activities and academic excellence. Eligible applicants must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher and plan to attend an accredited institution, ensuring that deserving students receive the assistance they need to succeed.

The DGLF Youth Literacy Grants, established by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, aim to enhance literacy among underperforming students in K-12. Organizations such as schools and libraries can apply for funding to implement or expand literacy programs, purchase necessary materials, and acquire technology. With over $159 million awarded to date, the foundation supports efforts that provide equitable education opportunities, ensuring every child has the chance to learn and succeed, regardless of their background.

The Amazon Literary Partnership Grant supports literary organizations in the UK and Republic of Ireland, promoting diverse voices and emerging writers. In 2025, it funded 38 groups, enhancing storytelling and writing engagement, especially for children. The grant is currently open for applications from non-profit organizations aiming to grow their literary initiatives in 2026, fostering creativity and community involvement in literature.

Brian Farnham Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund

This fund, created in 1995 to honor the life of Brian Farnham, was established as an endowment in 2005.

Brian Farnham (1977-1993) attended Our Lady of Good Counsel School until the eighth grade.

He participated in Cub Scouts at the school and was an avid basketball and football player.

He then attended Newark High School and represented the school at a downstate academic contest as a member of the JET’s Team.

He was named an All-American Scholar and was admitted into membership in the Who’s Who of American High School Scholars.

Brian died on June 5, 1993 in an automobile accident.

This fund provides scholarships to students entering “people-oriented” vocations such as the social sciences, health science, medicine, engineering, music and theology.

Carl E. & Marilyn J. Hess Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund

The Carl E. & Marilyn J. Hess Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund provides scholarships to graduates of Aurora Central, Marmion Academy, and Rosary High School. Carl Hess (1927-2014) was born in Aurora. He was a graduate of St. Nicholas Grade School and Marmion Military Academy. Mr. Hess served in the United States Navy at the end of World War II and during the Korean War. After retiring from the plastering trade, he enjoyed refinishing furniture. In addition, Mr. Hess played softball in Aurora for many years. Marilyn Hess (1930-2020) also was born in Aurora. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Grade School and East Aurora High School. Mrs. Hess was a homemaker and an artist. Mr. and Mrs. Hess were married for sixty-one years.

The Bartus Trew Providence Preservation Fund, established by a generous gift to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, supports local efforts to acquire and preserve historic landmarks on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Grants aid in the restoration and maintenance of culturally significant sites, fostering public awareness of heritage conservation. Eligible applicants include public agencies and nonprofit organizations capable of matching funds. This initiative prioritizes the preservation of unique local history and heritage, ensuring its continuity for future generations.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Description:

The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship program will provide one scholarship for full tuition, required fees, and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis, leading to a baccalaureate degree at any Indiana public or private college or university accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges.

Colonel Sidney Ginsberg Scholarship Endowment Fund

This fund was established upon receipt of a bequest from the estate of Colonel Sidney Ginsberg.

The fund supports scholarships for students graduating from East Aurora or West Aurora High School for attendance at a state-supported college or university located in Illinois.

Colonel Ginsberg (1899-1951) served in the United States Army following his graduation from West Point Academy.

After World War II, he returned to Aurora to manage the Ginsberg Store which was founded by his father Isaac Ginsberg.

In his bequest, Colonel Ginsberg included the following words. “The citizens of Aurora have been extremely good to me and to my business operations. The monies spent in my store (Ginsberg Store) by such citizens enable me to establish a trust and I hope by this method to repay them in some small manner.”

Colonel Ginsberg’s bequest was the first to be received by the Foundation. Created in 1953, Mr. Ginsberg’s fund was established as an endowment in 1989.

The Colorado Masons Benevolent Fund Association provides scholarships to graduating seniors from Colorado public high schools, aiming to support their pursuit of higher education. Established in 1966, the program has awarded over $15 million in scholarships, typically amounting to $7,000 per year for up to four years. Eligible students must demonstrate leadership and academic ability, while the selection process is overseen by a knowledgeable committee. The fund also offers vocational grants for education at Colorado institutions.

The Colorado Masons Benevolent Fund Association offers a Matching Grant program for graduating public high school seniors attending Colorado institutions. Established in 1984, this initiative matches up to $500 of grant money presented by local lodges to students. Over $536,000 has been invested in this program, benefiting many students. Eligible applicants must be graduating seniors, with a focus on leadership, maturity, and need, ensuring a diverse range of candidates can access educational opportunities.

Eastern Carolina Community Foundation

Eastern Carolina Community Foundation, founded in 2006, is the newest community foundation in South Carolina. We have a permanent endowment to meet the changing needs of the Pee Dee.

Eastern Carolina Community Foundation improves the quality of life in our area of South Carolina through inspired philanthropy and innovative community programs. We serve Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Marion, Marlboro, and Williamsburg Counties.

Scholarships

Eastern Carolina Community Foundation partners with donors to administer 12 scholarship funds for the benefit of students in the Pee Dee. All scholarship opportunities are established through specific funds established at ECCF with criteria determined by the donor. 

The Michelle Yolanda Glenn Carey Scholarship

This fund provides a scholarship to a graduating Pee Dee area high school senior who plans to major in education and teach at the elementary level. The fund was established in memory of Michelle Yolanda Glenn Carey who dedicated twenty years to the teaching of kindergarten students at Theodore Lester Elementary School in Florence, South Carolina.

The Glenn Foundation for Medical Research Postdoctoral Fellowships in Aging Research Grant aims to support postdoctoral fellows in their research on the biology of aging. In partnership with the American Federation for Aging Research, this program offers up to 10 grants of $75,000 each for one year, emphasizing the need for research that translates basic aging biology into clinical applications. Applicants must be postdoctoral fellows in qualified non-profit settings in the U.S. and meet specific eligibility criteria.

The Youth Service Improvement Grants (YSIG) program, funded by the William T Grant Foundation Inc, aims to enhance the quality of direct services for youth aged 5 to 25 in New York City. It encourages nonprofit organizations to identify and address service gaps while fostering critical reflection on their practices. In addition to financial support, the program offers technical assistance and peer-learning opportunities, creating a collaborative environment for organizations to strengthen their impact on youth.

The MSU Alumni Legacy Scholarship at Montana State University is designed for students who are children or grandchildren of MSU alumni. Eligible candidates must be pursuing a degree, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0, and demonstrate engagement in campus and community activities. This scholarship reflects MSU's commitment to supporting its legacy and fostering educational opportunities for future generations.
