This scholarship opportunity assists sorority women who graduated from a Greater Kansas City Metro high school and are also attending any university as an undergraduate senior or graduate student.

J. Harold and Mabel Hamil Memorial Scholarship

The J. Harold and Mabel Hamil Memorial Scholarship program provides annual scholarships to graduating seniors in honor of J. Harold and Mabel Hamil. The scholarships are intended to assist high school students who have excelled in the areas of English/Journalism; Debate/Public Speaking; Political Science; and/or Community Involvement to pursue a college/university education.

Scholarships support aspiring college students who hold the promise of tomorrow’s progress.

Fran Gay Memorial Scholarship Fund

When Fran died in 2000, she left behind not only her son, daughter, and other family members, but also her second “family” at JFK Medical Center. She worked at the hospital for 30 years in positions that included supervisor of Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care Unit and as Assistant Director of Nursing, and Risk Manager. Her family established this scholarship to help students pursue careers in the health profession.

The Folklife Artist Grant from the Nevada Arts Council supports traditional arts projects led by folk artists and culture bearers. Projects should focus on the transmission of folk arts within specific Nevada communities, covering learning and presentation activities. Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including federal tax-exempt status and good standing with the Nevada Secretary of State. Grants are awarded based on eligibility and funding availability, emphasizing artistic merit and community representation.

KCI Rotary Scholarship

This fund was established by the KCI Rotary Educational Foundation to provide academic scholarships to graduating seniors of high schools located in Platte County.

Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and disbursed in equal payments in August and January.

Minimum of $1,000 annually to be paid in the fall semester for up to four consecutive years (students must submit grades to GKCCF).

Pastor Otis L. Cobbins, Sr. Memorial Scholarship

The Pastor Otis L. Cobbins, Sr. Memorial Scholarship honors a young individual(s) who is furthering their education and exemplifies the attributes of Pastor Cobbins, Sr. These attributes include: honest; integrity; hard working; strong character; love of humanity; servant to community and family; trustworthy; and committed.

For 30 years, the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation has served as a partner in philanthropy to credit unions, with a mission to empower and inspire credit unions in the Carolinas through collaborative opportunities to enrich our communities. A great example of this collaborative philanthropy is our scholarship program. 

More than 20 credit unions in North Carolina and South Carolina have active managed funds at the Foundation. The generosity of these credit unions helps hundreds of high school seniors as well as undergraduate and graduate students receive scholarship funds each year.

The AAF Capital Grants program supports Colorado animal welfare organizations seeking over $100,000 for long-term projects that enhance the lives of shelter animals and provide community services. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) entities with a history of funding from the Animal Assistance Foundation, demonstrating community commitment and collaboration. Grants are limited to organizations improving the quality of life for animals, ensuring sustainability and long-term impact within their communities.

Fall River Chamber Foundation/James T. Waldron Scholarship

The Fall River Chamber Foundation James T. Waldron Scholarship Fund of the SouthCoast Community Foundation was established to provide an annual scholarship award to a South Coast region graduating High School senior(s) attending an accredited two- or four- year college or university.

The Gerber Foundation's Novice Researcher Grant aims to enhance the quality of life for infants and young children by funding innovative research in health and nutrition. With a focus on practical solutions that can be rapidly implemented, the grant supports projects addressing everyday challenges faced by young children and their caregivers. Eligible applicants include early-career researchers, with grants capped at $30,000, making it accessible for those looking to contribute to significant advancements in pediatric care.

The Daniel Gerber, Sr. Medallion Scholarship, provided by the Gerber Foundation, supports students graduating from select school districts in Newaygo County, Michigan. Eligible students must maintain a GPA of 3.71 or higher and plan to attend accredited post-secondary programs. The scholarship awards $11,500 for educational expenses, including tuition and books. Selection criteria include academic achievements, recommendations, and community involvement. This initiative aims to enhance the educational opportunities for local youth, aligning with the Foundation's mission to improve children's health and well-being.

The Gerber Foundation Merit Scholarship supports students graduating from select high schools in Newaygo, Muskegon, and Oceana Counties, with a GPA between 2.00 and 3.70. The scholarship provides $2,800 for post-secondary education, covering tuition, books, and required fees. Selection is based on academic achievements and community involvement. This scholarship aims to enhance educational opportunities for local youth, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future endeavors.

The Gerber Foundation offers the Career-Tech Scholarship for students graduating from Newaygo County Career-Technical Center. The scholarship aims to support students in pursuing education beyond high school, whether in traditional colleges, universities, or trade schools. Applicants must be seniors at the time of application. New Bedford Woman's Club Scholarship

The New Bedford Woman's Club Scholarship Fund of the SouthCoast Community Foundation was established to provide scholarships for tuition assistance during the first year at a two- or four-year accredited college or university. Scholarships are for graduating seniors of New Bedford High School and Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School based on 50% financial need and 50% academic performance.

North Baptist Church of New Bedford Community Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the fund is to provide scholarship awards to: A graduating senior from New Bedford High School, Greater NB Regional Vocational High School, Fairhaven High School, and Bristol Agricultural High School, who plans to attend a two-year school, trade school, or school/certificate program in preparation for work in a trade or healthcare profession.

Thomas O. and Sarah F. Jackson Trust Award

The Thomas O. and Sarah F. Jackson Trust Fund of the SouthCoast Community Foundation provides tuition assistance on an annually rotating basis to graduating Silver Lake, Carver, and Plymouth High School seniors during their first year of college. Recipients must attend either the Massachusetts Institute of Technology or the University of Massachusetts, and preference is given to students majoring in an agricultural course of study.

Westport and Beyond - The Erika Hall Memorial Scholarship

The Erika Hall Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to grant scholarships to Westport High School or Westport residents who graduated from sister schools (i.e., Diman Regional, Bristol County Agricultural, Bishop Connolly, or Bishop Stang High School). All scholarship applicants must be planning on attending a two- or four- year college or university.

Background

The Florida Department of State, Division of Library and Information Services is the state library administrative agency officially designated to receive and administer federal grant funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

The Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) is the major federal grant program for libraries. The LSTA program, administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services:

• Is a state-based program.
• Has purposes which focus on information access through technology and information empowerment through special services.
• Emphasizes public libraries but encourages interlibrary cooperation and partnerships among all types of libraries.
• Increases emphasis on accountability and evaluation.

The Women’s Fund of the Eastern Shore empowers local women and girls through collective philanthropy, addressing crucial needs such as job readiness and crisis support. Each spring, they provide grants up to $5,000 to nonprofit organizations and programs that demonstrate measurable benefits to this population in Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties. This initiative aims to foster self-sufficiency and positive change within the community.

The Sports 4 Life Grants, co-founded by the Women’s Sports Foundation and ESPN, aim to promote the health and development of girls in underserved communities. This initiative focuses on increasing participation and retention rates of Black, Hispanic, and Native American girls in sports through funding for coaching, equipment, and facilities. By fostering leadership and self-esteem, the program seeks to empower young girls and provide them with lifelong benefits from sports participation.

The Preservation Alliance of West Virginia's Saving Historic Places Grant Program aims to fund the renovation and preservation of historic school buildings in rural communities facing economic challenges. With $665,000 available for grants ranging from $50,000 to $300,000, the program seeks to combat blight and encourage community engagement in preserving significant local landmarks. The application period closes on March 1, 2024, with awards expected by May 2024, promoting sustainable development and investment.

The Facilities for Atmospheric Research and Education (FARE) Program, managed by the National Science Foundation (NSF), supports advanced research in atmospheric sciences through specialized facilities like the Lower Atmosphere Observing Facilities (LAOF) and Community Instruments and Facilities (CIF). These resources enable the geosciences research community to conduct essential fieldwork and studies by providing access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and logistical support. Technical Assistance Navigating Culturally Specific Substance Use and Recovery Programs

Scope of Work

The purpose of the RFP is for technical assistance navigating culturally specific and responsive SUD programs. STATE has identified three categories of activities to meet this goal:

• Licensure, Minnesota Health Care Program (MHCP) Enrollment, and Rate Enhancement: The purpose of this category is to support culturally specific or culturally responsive SUD programs in developing long-term sustainability through obtaining licensure, enrolling in MHCP, or applying for the Medical Assistance (MA) Rate Enhancement as a Culturally Specific or Culturally Responsive Program.

• Grant Writing and Management: The purpose of this category is to increase the knowledge, skills, and capacity of culturally specific or culturally responsive programs to apply for, receive, and successfully manage grant funding from the STATE.

• Technical Assistance and Training: The purpose of this category is to provide an opportunity for culturally specific or culturally responsive SUD programs to support each other in a consulting or training capacity.
