About the disease

Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) is a disorder of the esophagus and is increasingly recognized as a major cause of swallowing difficulties in children and adults. It is a chronic disease of the immune system and can be triggered by a food allergy, acid reflux, or an airborne allergy. An allergic trigger causes the immune system to overact which causes many white blood cells, or eosinophils, to collect in the esophagus. This causes the esophagus to become inflamed and not contract properly. The esophagus can also narrow and develop rings or abscesses. This condition can become worse over time.

The ATV/UTV Safety Enhancement Funding, provided by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, supports nonprofit organizations in promoting safe and responsible use of all-terrain and utility-terrain vehicles. Although solutions don’t need to focus on generative AI specifically, teams should demonstrate how their career pathways programming align with the following dimensions:

• Training and Upskilling Programs – Providing holistic, accessible programming that equips workers with essential skills, industry-validated credentials, and technical literacy for the modern workplace.
• AI Readiness and Literacy – Offering high-quality training that helps workers understand generative AI and agentic technologies as augmented intelligence tools, helping to build practical skills like effective prompting, domain expertise application, and ethical use.
• Additional Wraparound Services and Basic Needs Support – Supporting unemployed and underemployed workers on their journey to economic mobility through comprehensive, integrated resources including childcare, transportation support, mentorship, mental health services, benefits navigation, and more.

Rural Health Transformation Program Funding 

The federal Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) was created by H.R.1 (Section 71401 of Public Law 119-21) on July 4, 2025. It is a federal initiative to help states support rural communities in improving health care access, quality, and outcomes by transforming the health care delivery ecosystem. The RHTP focuses on promoting innovation, strategic partnerships, infrastructure development, and workforce investment in rural communities. Grant recipients will select activities from broad RHTP initiatives designed to advance the overarching goals of improving health outcomes and access to care for rural Minnesotans, sustainably expanding the rural health care workforce, strengthening partnerships between providers to expand service delivery in rural communities, and stabilizing rural provider financial health through strategic investments.

Texas Health and Human Services, also known as the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), helps more than 7.5 million Texans every month. The State of Texas, by and through the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) on behalf of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Child Protective Services (CPS) Program seeks Applicants to provide Preparation for Adult Living (PAL) Transition and Financial Support Services in an effective and efficient manner in DFPS Regions 1 to 5 and Regions 7 to 11 ( Refer Section 2.4, DFPS Regions) to DFPS Youth and Young Adults to help them successfully transition to adulthood.

WHO ARE WE?

In 2020, Jackson County was home to more than 165,000 children and youth under 18 years of age, and ranked 75th out of 114 Missouri counties for child welfare. Thirty-two percent of our county’s children under 6 years of age live in poverty. Twenty-five percent of our older kids do, too. Hundreds are victims of abuse or neglect. Thousands require clinical psychiatric care. A prior needs assessment of funding for children’s services in Jackson County revealed an annual funding gap of over $21M. CSF exists to change this story. Uniting care, connection, and creativity, we are providing opportunities to give hope to Jackson County kids.

CSF is an innovative way to support child well-being projects. While we are funded by a Jackson County sales tax, we are a stand-alone organization led by an independent board. We are committed to community equity. Our board is balanced to reflect our county, and we work to educate and support all applicants, so everyone—including small organizations and first-timers—has a fair shot at funding. We believe in fresh solutions, constant progress and collaboration. Our work allows us to see the whole-county picture, so we can connect like-minded partners and promote new collaborations.

CSF Core Funding

Core Funding is at the heart of our mission to make transformative investments in the mental health and emotional well-being of children in Jackson County. It supports organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children and families, enabling them to provide essential services that strengthen protective factors, mental health and social-emotional well-being. This funding is central to creating lasting impact, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Organizations can access Core Funding through two different funding cycles to best meet the needs of the organization. For traditional non-profit organizations, calendar year funding (January 1 – December 31) is the intended option to provide support. For schools and school-based/school-adjacent services, academic year funding (July 1 – June 30) is available. Both cycles follow a clear and structured process for requesting and awarding funds, with flexibility to suit different program needs. The application process has been streamlined to allow for more equitable access, with applicants now engaging in in-person presentations rather than submitting lengthy applications. This change fosters stronger relationships between the CSF and funded partners and levels the playing field for all organizations.

CSF can fund:

• Up to 30 days of temporary shelter, respite care and services for unwed mothers.
• Outpatient treatment, transitional living services, family intervention, crisis services and prevention programs.
• Professional counseling, psychological evaluations and mental health screenings.

Texas Mutual is offering funding for workforce development and safety training initiatives to strengthen Texas's economy. This grant supports organizations that provide training for skilled workforce safety, create pathways for middle-skill jobs, and focus on upskilling adult learners. Eligible applicants can request between $25,000-$100,000, aligning their proposals with Texas Mutual's mission. The program prioritizes ongoing projects that demonstrate early results, established partnerships, and are in line with Texas communities' needs.

The Cleon W. Mauldin Foundation Trust Grant aims to support arts education and promote artistic endeavors in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA). Established in memory of Cleon W. Mauldin, the foundation grants funds to organizations that focus on music, dance, and ballet, as well as educational programs in the arts. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) organizations located in Georgia and South Carolina. This initiative fosters community engagement and opportunities for youth in the arts.

The Spartanburg County Foundation's Community Thanksgiving Grant fosters philanthropy and community engagement by supporting local nonprofits. Each year, a Thanksgiving service, hosted by various faith communities, collects donations that the Foundation matches up to $5,000. Eligible organizations must have annual budgets under $500,000 and serve specific areas, including family services and health. This initiative aims to enhance access to opportunities for underserved populations in Spartanburg County, ensuring direct benefits to local residents.

The Teens for Tomorrow Grant, offered by the Quad Cities Community Foundation, empowers high school students to support nonprofits in Rock Island County, IL, and Scott County, IA. With a total of $10,000 available each year, grants focus on critical community issues such as domestic violence, homelessness, immigration support, and food insecurity. Eligible 501(c)3 organizations can apply for operational and program support to enhance the well-being of local residents.

The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program provides vital federal funding to support criminal justice initiatives in North Carolina. It addresses law enforcement, courts, and community programs, promoting equitable public safety solutions. Established by the Governor's Crime Commission, the program adapts to evolving needs, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to enhance safety for over 10 million residents. This initiative empowers local agencies to implement innovative strategies in law enforcement, mental health, and crisis intervention.
