Responsive Fund

The goal of the Responsive Fund RFP is to address immediate, emerging, or unanticipated needs within the community, recognizing that opportunities to build resilience require dedicated funding.

Grant Funding for Critical Services – Sustaining Civic Infrastructure: Total investment up to $1.5 million  

This funding supports the continuity of critical community infrastructure and services by addressing the time-sensitive operational and programmatic needs. Proposals for funding should focus on critical gaps or unmet needs with deep ties to community relationships. Organizations should demonstrate readiness to deploy resources quickly if funding is provided. This RFP will prioritize funding organizations essential to advancing health justice and youth well-being among our priority populations. Grants are available at three levels: $50,000, $75,000, or $100,000 for general operating or programmatic support.

The Caring For Colorado Grant Program focuses on public policy advocacy to enhance the health and well-being of children, youth, and families in Colorado. This initiative supports organizations that advocate for equitable access to resources and promote justice. Funding can be used for various purposes, including capacity building and public education. The program emphasizes collaboration with young people and prioritizes efforts that address systemic inequities.

The Collier Community Foundation offers General Operating Support Grants to nonprofits addressing community needs in areas such as arts, education, healthcare, and human services. Suitable for smaller organizations with budgets around $1M, applicants must demonstrate measurable outcomes and align with community needs. Eligible nonprofits must be tax-exempt, serve Collier County, and maintain an updated profile in the Foundation's Nonprofit Directory. This funding supports operational costs including staffing and materials.

The Dixon Water Foundation Grant supports non-profit organizations in Texas that focus on sustainable land management and watershed health. The foundation funds annual grants for projects that utilize their ranches for research and education on land stewardship and water conservation. Ideal applicants are those recognized as charitable organizations by the IRS, promoting key Texas ecosystems through innovative practices. This initiative ensures future generations have the necessary water resources.

The Michigan Sea Grant is offering Graduate Student Research Fellowships for innovative research in natural or social sciences related to the Great Lakes. Open to M.S. or Ph.D. students, these fellowships support projects for one to two years, with funding of up to $60,000. Notably, a 50% non-federal match is required to secure these funds, ensuring collaboration with local agencies or NGOs. Applications are encouraged before the extended deadline of August 15, 2025.

Joining Hearts Grant, established in 1987, is dedicated to supporting Atlanta-based organizations focused on HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and housing assistance. Initially formed to aid a friend with HIV/AIDS, this 501c3 organization has evolved into a significant annual event, amplifying its impact on the community through expanded services. The grant aims to address the ongoing needs of those affected by HIV/AIDS, reflecting a commitment to both care and prevention.

The Howard E. Stark Charitable Foundation, established in 2007, supports small, impactful organizations in the Northeast US. The foundation prioritizes projects that alleviate suffering for people or animals and considers applications from 501(c)(3) organizations outside its usual funding parameters. Key areas of support include education, after-school programs, rehabilitation, arts, nutrition, and emotional support initiatives. The foundation is committed to fostering local community development through thoughtful funding.

The Hyde Family Foundations Grant supports nonprofits in Memphis with a focus on education, community development, arts, and civic engagement. Established in 1961, the foundation has grown to over $175 million in assets, granting about $20 million annually. Organizations can apply for funding three times a year, with specific eligibility criteria. The foundation aims to empower initiatives that foster equity, improve quality of life, and enhance the community's cultural landscape, ensuring a thriving environment for all residents.

The NLSLA Post-Law School Fellowship offers opportunities for law graduates to engage in impactful legal work in Los Angeles. Focused on social change, the fellowship encourages projects that address systemic issues while providing direct legal services to underserved communities. Ideal candidates will propose initiatives in areas like education, health equity, and workers' rights, particularly those affecting vulnerable populations. NLSLA emphasizes collaboration and innovative solutions to enhance access to justice and improve lives in the region.

The Idaho Nonpoint Source Management §319 Subgrants program provides financial assistance to states, territories, and tribes for activities aimed at reducing nonpoint source pollution. Administered by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, these grants support projects targeting water quality improvement in lakes and rivers. Eligible initiatives include agricultural practices, urban stormwater management, and groundwater protection efforts. A 40% match is required, and projects that leverage multiple funding sources are prioritized.

The Alfred H. Lander and Janet L. Lander Family Charitable Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) private operating foundation that conducts charitable work that meets our mission statement. The Foundation seeks to uplift individuals and families through community programming in the following three areas:

• Programs promoting and supporting the physical and mental health of the community through fitness opportunities and access to services, resources, and qualified care providers.
• Educational programs providing a strong foundation for learning at all ages and levels, including those that improve workforce placement and success.
• Programs assisting individuals and families in meeting basic needs and include a pathway for upward mobility.

The NRA Foundation Supports Freedom, Family, and the Future of the Shooting Sports

Established in 1990, The NRA Foundation, Inc. (“NRA Foundation”) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that raises tax-deductible contributions in support of a wide range of firearm-related public interest activities of the National Rifle Association of America and other organizations that defend and foster the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding Americans.

The heart of The NRA Foundation’s mission is preserving the core of our American values and traditions in our steadfast effort to Teach Freedom.

Established in 1990, The NRA Foundation, Inc. (“NRA Foundation”) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that raises tax-deductible contributions in support of a wide range of firearm-related public interest activities of the National Rifle Association of America and other organizations that defend and foster the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding Americans. These activities are designed to promote firearms and hunting safety, to enhance marksmanship skills of those participating in the shooting sports, and to educate the general public about firearms in their historic, technological and artistic context. Funds granted by The NRA Foundation benefit a variety of constituencies throughout the United States including children, youth, women, individuals with physical disabilities, gun collectors, law enforcement officers, hunters and competitive shooters.

Women's Wildlife Management Conservation Scholarship

The Women’s Wildlife Conservation Scholarship, established by the NRA Women’s Policies Committee, is a renewable one-year $5,000 scholarship available to full-time college sophomores, juniors, or seniors. Thank you for your interest in the field of wildlife management, forestry, parks, or fish and wildlife conservation.

Scholarship Value

$2,500 per semester for up to two semesters. Recipients must maintain qualifications listed above to receive second installment.

The JTMF Foundation Grant focuses on improving the lives of individuals in need, particularly in the Pacific Northwest. By partnering with organizations addressing immediate needs and long-term challenges, the foundation supports children, older adults, veterans, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Guided by Catholic values, JTMF aims to empower communities while seeking innovative solutions to societal issues. Organizations that align with these focus areas are encouraged to connect, fostering a collaborative effort towards meaningful impact.

The Keller Foundation Grant, established in 1980, aims to support innovative programs for children and families, particularly in the Grand Rapids area. With nearly $7 million awarded to over 150 nonprofits, the foundation focuses on five key areas: Cultural, Education, Environment, Health, and Human Services. Grants, ranging from $2,500 to $50,000, prioritize long-term impact and community involvement, fostering educational and cultural opportunities for underserved youth.

The Judith Ann Mogan Foundation Grants: Small Grant Program offers financial support to eligible organizations in Oregon, focusing on enhancing community well-being through various priority areas such as Arts & Culture, Community Health, and Economic Development. Established in 2020, the foundation has already contributed over $5.98 million to local projects. Grants usually amount to $25,000 or less and are typically awarded for one year, promoting initiatives that foster successful citizens and vital communities on the Southern Oregon Coast.

The Ruth Mott Foundation Grants aim to enhance community engagement and address key priorities identified by north Flint residents. The foundation focuses on youth development, public safety, economic opportunity, and neighborhood improvement, reflecting the voices of the community. By fostering place-based interventions and partnerships, they strive to close racial disparities and create a just, equitable environment where all residents can thrive. Applicants are encouraged to engage with program officers to align their proposals with community needs.

The Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program provides $2,000 in funding to support creative entrepreneurs in Pennsylvania. This initiative aims to foster business growth by offering access to consulting services and resources tailored for those starting or developing a for-profit micro business. The program prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, focusing on BIPOC entrepreneurs and those serving low-income communities, thus playing a vital role in economic recovery and innovation.

The Goldring Family and Woldenburg Foundation Grant supports non-profits in the Greater New Orleans area, funding initiatives in various fields including Arts, Education, Health, and Jewish Causes. Eligible organizations can apply for financial assistance to enhance community services and promote cultural enrichment. This grant represents an opportunity for local non-profits to secure funding for impactful projects that align with the foundation's mission to improve the quality of life in the region.

The Iowa Women's Foundation Core Grants aim to support organizations that address barriers to women's economic self-sufficiency in Iowa. Since 1997, over $2 million has been awarded to initiatives that offer housing, transportation, education, employment, childcare, and mentorship. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations and licensed childcare centers. The foundation encourages innovative solutions that empower women and girls, fostering their independence and leadership within the community.

The Judith Ann Mogan Foundation, established in 2020, focuses on enhancing the Southern Oregon Coast's communities by supporting qualified organizations. With over $5.98 million awarded to 84 projects, the foundation prioritizes areas such as Arts & Culture, Community Health, and Economic Development. For the 2025 Grant Cycle, it offers both Small and Large Grant Programs to foster impactful initiatives. Eligible applicants must be Oregon-based, including 501(c)(3) organizations and governmental units.

The Crawford Taylor Foundation focuses on enhancing programs that create lasting legacies in St. Louis. With priorities in community development, women's health, animal welfare, and environmental preservation, the foundation seeks to support 501(c)(3) organizations that meet specific eligibility criteria. They avoid funding multi-year grants or for-profit initiatives, emphasizing support for local causes and relief efforts deemed important by the Taylor family.

The Stray Dog Institute Grants aim to transform food systems by providing funding and support to nonprofits focused on animal welfare, environmental advocacy, and food justice. With grant amounts typically ranging from $2,500 to $10,000, the Institute prioritizes pragmatic solutions that foster dignity, justice, and sustainability. By addressing systemic issues in food production, they promote a compassionate approach that respects both people and animals. This initiative seeks to create a sustainable future for all stakeholders in the food system.

The REPI Challenge, initiated by the DOD's REPI Program, aims to protect critical testing and training capabilities through funded projects. Since 2012, over $193 million has been allocated to 69 initiatives, leveraging more than $512 million in partner contributions. The upcoming 2026 REPI Challenge will focus on strategic mission safeguarding, with up to $20 million available for preventing land use conflicts and enhancing military resilience, thus ensuring the longevity of vital defense capabilities.

The Lucy Downing Nisbet Charitable Fund, established in 2002, supports educational, health, human services, and arts programming for underserved populations in Vermont. It prioritizes organizations focused on healthcare, domestic violence awareness, and environmental conservation. Eligible applicants must have a Vermont office, while grants are not made for deficit financing or capital projects. Special consideration is given to local organizations serving Morrisville, VT, and those addressing critical health and community issues.

The Park City Community Foundation offers grants to nonprofit organizations serving the greater Park City and Summit County area, focusing on community needs and effective programs. They encourage applications for general support, especially in light of COVID-19's impact. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits and operate within Summit County. The foundation prioritizes partnerships, professionalism, leadership, and innovation to enhance community wellbeing and address pressing issues.

The Kelley Foundation Grant Program provides funding to tax-exempt organizations in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, focusing on community enrichment through health services, housing, youth development, food security, arts, and environmental initiatives. Applications are accepted year-round, with a review process that may take up to six months. Note that grants are not awarded to the same organization within a three-year period, and private foundations are ineligible for funding.

The foundation is proud to offer five impactful young leaders the opportunity to participate in the One Young World Summit 2026, which takes place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 3 - 6 November.

The dsm-firmenich Progress Foundation Scholarship is looking to support young entrepreneurs making a local or global impact in communities around the globe in one of three focus areas:

• Fighting Malnutrition.
• Strengthening community resilience.
• Protecting and restoring ecosystems.  

Examples of relevant work include, but are not limited to:

• Initiatives which address micronutrient deficiencies and ensure food with the highest quality and nutritional value reach the most vulnerable.
• Initiatives which strengthen community resilience and address social inequality.
• Initiatives that restore and protect ecosystems, building nature's resilience by addressing climate action, biodiversity protection and safeguarding water systems. 

What will you receive?

Selected scholars will receive:

• Access to the One Young World Summit 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa.
• Hotel Accommodation in Cape Town, checking in on 31 October and checking out on 8 November.
• Travel to and from Cape Town (flights in economy).
• Catering which includes breakfast at the hotel accommodation and lunch and dinner during the core Summit days.
• Ground transport between the Summit accommodation and the Summit venue.
• Pre and post-programme in Cape Town and the opportunity to join the dsm-firmenich delegation during the Summit.
