Clean Energy Fund (CEF) Building Electrification Grant Program

Commerce is accepting applications for the Clean Energy Fund Building Electrification Grant Program. These grants are intended to be used by current program grantees to enhance their existing building electrification projects and pursue additional measures to increase energy savings and greenhouse gas emissions reductions.

Funding

Commerce will distribute the remaining $495,000 from the CEF5 Building Electrification Grant Program. There is no minimum request amount, and the maximum award is $495,000.

Columbia Basin Trust

The Trust was created in 1995 to support efforts by the people of the Basin to create a legacy of social, economic and environmental well-being in the Canadian portion of the Columbia River Basin—the region most affected by the Columbia River Treaty.

Mission: The Trust supports efforts by the people of the Basin to create a legacy of social, economic and environmental well-being and to achieve greater self-sufficiency for present and future generations.

Non-profit SMART Grants

Non-Profit SMART Grants support Basin non-profits and First Nations to increase their energy efficiency, generate renewable energy, adapt to the impacts of climate change, and/or reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

There are two streams for this grant: Stream One – Electric Vehicles and Charging Stations; and Stream Two – Renewable Energy and Improvements to Buildings

Stream One – Electric Vehicles and Charging Stations

This stream supports the purchase of one new electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle for use in Basin communities, and/or up to two charging stations.

The Connecticut Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) program supports producers in improving water management, planting trees, and diversifying production to mitigate risks. With financial assistance covering up to 75% of conservation practice costs, participants can receive up to $50,000 annually. This program is designed for farmers in 16 states with low federal crop insurance participation, allowing them to enhance resource conservation and sustainability while complying with specific eligibility requirements.

The Delaware Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) program provides financial assistance to producers for conservation practices, covering up to 75% of installation costs, with a cap of $50,000 per participant annually. This program aims to enhance water management, promote organic farming, and support historically underserved producers. Available in 16 states with low Federal Crop Insurance participation, AMA helps mitigate risks associated with agricultural production. Applications are accepted year-round, with specific cut-off dates for funding.

The Samuel H. French and Katherine Weaver French Fund provides grants focused on the welfare and education of the elderly, sight-impaired, and young in the San Diego region. Established by a couple committed to community support, the fund prioritizes programs that directly benefit these populations. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) exempt and demonstrate project-specific requests rather than general operating support. The fund aims to enhance educational and health services, contributing to the well-being of vulnerable community members.

The Arts Projects – Organisations Grants program, funded by the Australia Council for the Arts, supports diverse activities that enhance the arts sector and engage communities. With grants ranging from $20,000 to $100,000, eligible organizations can propose various initiatives including professional development, creative collaborations, and community engagement projects. Applications are open to organizations that benefit practicing Australian artists and audiences, fostering artistic innovation and cultural exchange.

Nebraska Medical Center supports non-profit organizations aiming to serve vulnerable populations and address major health issues like cancer, mental health, and prenatal care. They prioritize funding for initiatives aligned with community health improvement, specifically benefiting underserved groups. Eligible applicants must be IRS-designated 501(c)(3) organizations and submit proposals 60 days prior to events. However, they do not fund activities related to debt retirement, scholarships, or religious programming.

The Sponsorship Grant Program by the Chesapeake Bay Trust aims to enhance public awareness of environmental issues related to the Chesapeake Bay and Maryland watersheds. It supports events like conferences and festivals, fostering community engagement. Grants typically award up to $500 for programmatic and marketing support. The WACF Community Fund Grants support eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits in Walker County, offering opportunities through Spring and Fall cycles or year-round requests under $5,000. The Zero-Emissions Access Program Grant (WA) aims to fund zero-emission carshare pilot programs in underserved communities with limited public transportation access. Grants range from $50,000 to $200,000, requiring applicants to match at least 10% of project costs. Eligible organizations can apply annually, but multi-year commitments are not available. The fund does not support capital campaigns, indirect costs, endowments, or individual scholarships, ensuring that funds are directed towards direct program expenses.

The MN AWWA Advanced Degree Scholarship offers up to three $3,500 scholarships annually to students enrolled in water-related Bachelor's or Graduate degree programs. Applicants must be juniors or seniors at accredited institutions and submit necessary documentation, including transcripts. The scholarship is awarded directly to the educational institution, and winners are recognized at the MN AWWA Annual Conference, typically held in Duluth, MN each September.

The Colorado Plateau Foundation (CPF) provides capacity-building grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 to Native-led organizations on the Colorado Plateau. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations and governmental agencies, with specific requirements for board diversity. The foundation does not fund individuals, for-profit organizations, or partisan activities. The grant cycle accepts one application per organization.

The Robinson Foundation Grant, established in 2016, aims to alleviate hardships faced by individuals and communities, demonstrating God's love through charitable contributions. As a family-operated foundation, it focuses on creating meaningful, long-term impacts in various areas including animal welfare, education, and disaster relief. Organizations eligible for funding must be 501(c)(3) public charities. The foundation prioritizes fiscally responsible projects with the potential for tangible results, while not supporting capital projects.

The Seherr-Thoss Foundation Grant, established in 1991, primarily supports cultural, educational, health-related, religious, and civic initiatives within the Town of Litchfield, Connecticut. The foundations, initiated by Sonia and Hans Seherr-Thoss, have funded numerous local projects, including capital improvements for community organizations and essential equipment for volunteer services. They welcome applications from exempt organizations that align with their mission to enhance the community's well-being and preserve its heritage.

DC Health

The mission of DC Health is to promote and protect the health, safety, and quality of life of  residents, visitors, and those doing business in the District of Columbia. The agency is  responsible for identifying health risks; educating the public; preventing and controlling diseases,  injuries, and exposure to environmental hazards; promoting effective community collaborations;  and optimizing equitable access to community resources.

HAHSTA Prevention Services

Purpose

This funding announcement is to support a comprehensive approach that identifies and prevents HIV, STI, and HBV/HCV among populations, such African American women, youth (18-24), men who engage in male to male sexual contact (MMSC), biological males who identify as female, biological females who identify as male, African American males, unhoused individuals, and others most at risk for exposure. Applicants should ensure that all people are aware of their health status and of methods to reduce their risk of these diseases. This approach may lead to improved health outcomes, enhanced self-efficacy, improved health literacy, viral suppression, and reduced new infections. The framework fully supports the Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) in the District of Columbia (DC).

Applicants who exhibit the capacity to deliver comprehensive HIV prevention activities that include HIV, STI, and HBV/HCV screening and delivery of PrEP/PEP education will be considered for funding. Services are to be fully accessible and well-suited to each population’s behavioral and cultural settings.

The Youth4Climate initiative, led by the Government of Italy and UNDP, empowers young people to drive impactful climate action by providing up to $30,000 for innovative solutions. This funding targets five key areas: Climate Literacy, Sustainable Energy, Food and Agriculture, Nature Assets, and Sustainable Consumption. Successful applicants will gain access to technical support, mentorship, and storytelling platforms, ensuring their projects can thrive and inspire change on a global scale.

The Institute of Sacred Music (ISM) Fellowship at Yale University offers long-term fellowships for scholars and artists whose work aligns with the Institute's mission. Each year, a diverse group of fellows engages in interdisciplinary projects, exploring areas from Buddhist chant to African American sacred music. This fellowship provides access to Yale's rich resources, allowing fellows to teach courses and participate actively in a vibrant academic community, fostering the integration of arts and theology.

The PSEG Foundation provides funding for events and initiatives that enhance community safety and environmental stewardship in areas where they operate, such as New Jersey and New York. The application process is rolling, with a response time of 8 to 12 weeks. Proposals must be submitted online between January 1 and October 31, at least eight weeks before the event.

The Peridot Foundation Grant aims to enhance the welfare of the Hebron, Connecticut community by supporting local charitable organizations. This includes funding for children's programs, public safety initiatives, and community services. Additionally, the foundation promotes medical research activities and provides assistance to various charitable organizations. Through these efforts, the Peridot Foundation seeks to create a positive impact on the lives of residents and foster a spirit of giving within the community.
