Neshoba Teacher Mini Grants

The purpose of the Neshoba Education Endowment Fund is to provide mini-grants to teachers to support educational programs and activities in Neshoba County.

Teacher Mini-Grants are limited to $500 or less.

The number of teacher grants given each year is based on the amount of funding available and the applications received. Multiple awards are given each year.

About the Foundation

The MxCC Foundation Supports CT State Middlesex and Meriden Campuses

The purpose of the Middlesex Community College Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) public charity incorporated in Connecticut, is twofold:

• To support the college and its students by receiving, managing, and distributing funds for scholarships and other educational purposes, and
• To generate and strengthen communication and collaboration between the college and the Foundation and business, industry, professional, civic, and educational leaders in the communities served by the college—all of Middlesex County, Meriden and Wallingford in New Haven County, and Rocky Hill in Hartford County.

Removing financial obstacles that bar or inhibit student access to education is the Foundation’s driving force. Scholarships address not only the growing need for financial assistance, but also our perennial wish to celebrate student achievement.

The MxCC Foundation’s charge is to develop external resources that contribute support to student and academic programs, as well as efforts that foster student success.

Eriksen Family Scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2021 by the Eriksen Family. It is awarded to a full- or part-time, continuing or graduating student who wishes to pursue a bachelor’s degree. This award is intended to provide an ongoing opportunity for the student to continue their education.

The Durfee Foundation Stanton Fellowship offers exceptional leaders in Los Angeles County the opportunity to receive $100,000 over two years to pursue innovative inquiries that can lead to meaningful improvements in the community. This fellowship emphasizes cross-disciplinary collaboration, allowing fellows to expand their knowledge and networks while dedicating focused time to their projects. With a strong commitment to supporting creative thinkers, the Durfee Foundation aims to enhance civic engagement and foster impactful change in Los Angeles.

The Lloyd Ness Family Fund Grant, established by the children of Lloyd Ness in 2019, supports charitable initiatives in Noble and Whitley Counties focusing on education, agriculture, and youth leadership. The Community Foundation of Noble County, a 501(c)(3) public charity, aims to enhance community welfare through effective philanthropic giving. Applications are due July 2, with awards announced 60 days later, encouraging local organizations to foster growth and leadership in these vital areas.

The Dettwiller Foundation Grants support a broad array of initiatives in Tennessee, honoring Fred Dettwiller's charitable legacy. The foundation focuses on religious, educational, health and human services, the arts, and support for law enforcement and first responders. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations that align with these areas of focus, promoting community welfare and development.

The Edward and Wanda Jordan Family Foundation Grant aims to support education, scientific research, and spiritual ministries through voluntary grants. Focused on enhancing the welfare and quality of life for children and youth, this foundation perpetuates the charitable intentions of the Jordan family. The Earl B. and Loraine H. Miller Foundation Grants support nonprofits in the Health, Education, and Arts sectors, particularly those addressing community needs in Long Beach. Grantees can apply for one-year funding for program support or core operating expenses. This initiative aims to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Texas Education Code 38.003, enhancing educational support for affected students.

The 2025-2027 Educator Preparation Innovation and Improvement Center (EPIIC) Continuation, funded by the Texas Education Agency, aims to enhance educator preparation programs across Texas. This initiative supports local educational agencies in their continuous improvement efforts, ensuring that Texas teachers and students receive the necessary resources and tools for effective education. The 2025-2026 Autism Supports Grant, administered by the Texas Education Agency, aims to enhance the capacity of Texas public schools to support students with autism. By providing subgrants to local educational agencies, charter schools, and nonprofit organizations, this initiative focuses on implementing evidence-based practices that address the unique academic and behavioral needs of students with disabilities, ensuring high expectations are met.

Fellows are required to teach American history, government, or civics at the secondary level for one year per funding year. Financially, the fellowship awards up to $24,000, covering tuition and fees, and must be repaid if fellowship conditions are unmet. The CNL Charitable Foundation Grants, initiated by CNL Financial Group founder Jim Seneff, aim to enhance community well-being in Central Florida.
