Community Impact Grants

Community Impact Grants provide support to nonprofits working to address the needs of under-resourced individuals, families, and communities in our regional footprint.

Our Community Impact Grant opportunity is focused serving children, families, and communities most impacted by poverty. In 2026, there will be one cycle to apply. Eligible nonprofits in our region may apply for unrestricted funding. If you have received funding through the Summer Initiatives grant, you still may apply for Community Impact Grants. If you have received a 2025 multi-year award, you will not be eligible to apply in 2026.

Funding considerations will prioritize requests that address under-resourced populations in our region such as children and adolescents, low-income seniors, returning citizens, immigrants, victims of domestic abuse, and others.

The Education & Youth Enrichment initiative aims to empower Broward’s youth by enhancing academic achievement, exposing them to diverse career paths, and fostering essential life skills. As graduation rates decline, this program seeks to provide vital support, especially for special needs and LGBTQ youth. By offering engaging learning environments and work-based experiences, it strives to build resilience and prepare young individuals for successful futures, ultimately contributing to their overall well-being and economic mobility.

The Comer Education Grant, established by the Comer Foundation in 1946, has allocated over $34.6 million to support educational initiatives in Alabama. Rooted in the legacy of Governor Braxton Bragg Comer, the foundation prioritizes scholarships and community improvements, particularly in areas where Avondale Mills operated. This commitment to education and social betterment reflects the family's dedication to enhancing the quality of life and opportunities for residents in Jefferson, Talladega, and Barbour Counties.

Their contributions aim to address critical social determinants of health, including food security, health equity, and education. By supporting initiatives that foster economic stability and well-being, Florida Blue is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all Floridians and creating lasting impacts in the neighborhoods they serve.

The FJ Brotherton Charitable Trust Grant aims to support charitable organizations, focusing on arts, education, and social services primarily in the northeastern United States. Established in 2024, the Trust continues the legacy of the Fred J. Brotherton Charitable Foundation. It emphasizes funding for programs that assist the needy or disabled, while adhering to strict eligibility criteria, including a requirement for tax-exempt status under I.R.C. Section 501(c)(3).

BMO Gives is committed to fostering positive societal impact through community support and charitable initiatives. It focuses on enhancing community and economic resilience, as well as environmental sustainability. Eligible applicants must be registered charities or non-profits operating in Canada or the U.S. and align with BMO's corporate values, which promote inclusivity and non-discrimination.
