Eligible organizations must demonstrate alignment with these areas, particularly serving underserved communities. The Labcorp Charitable Foundation, a private 501(c)(3) entity, aims to enhance healthcare access and education for all. Organizations eligible for funding must be U.S.-based and hold tax-exempt status. Requests are reviewed biannually, in March and September, to foster impactful community projects.

Their focus includes promoting educational opportunities, particularly for early childhood education, and supporting economic development initiatives. The foundation prioritizes programs that foster sustainability and diversity, ensuring a lasting impact on the communities they serve.

The Semnani Family Foundation, established in 1993, is dedicated to supporting marginalized communities worldwide through health, education, and disaster relief initiatives. Founded by Khosrow and Ghazaleh Semnani, it began by funding an orphanage in Romania. The foundation also operates locally, providing free healthcare through the Maliheh Free Clinic in Utah. Its commitment to human welfare drives impactful partnerships in countries such as Afghanistan, India, and South Africa, focusing on the most vulnerable populations.

The Bank of America Foundation Sponsorship Program aims to enhance economic mobility and social progress in low- and moderate-income communities through partnerships with nonprofit organizations. The Foundation invested $350 million last year and encourages employee volunteerism and giving, supporting nonprofits in various sectors, including arts, culture, and diversity initiatives.

Ameriprise Community Grants focus on supporting nonprofits that enhance community vitality and meet basic needs. With over 120 years of commitment to philanthropy, Ameriprise Financial engages employees in volunteerism and grantmaking. Key giving areas include hunger relief, housing stability, and community development. Priority is given to organizations with active volunteer engagement from Ameriprise advisors and employees, creating a meaningful impact on financial independence and community resilience.

FCFP is North Central PA’s most established vehicle for local charitable giving. Our mission is a big one, and our work can seem complex. But ultimately, it comes down to inspiring community giving and investing in community good.

Our love for North Central PA runs deep. And our knowledge of these communities is broad.

While our efforts are focused in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union Counties, our work reaches into Bradford, Clinton, Columbia, Potter, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties through scholarships, as well as donors and their geographic area funds.

2026 Community Grant Program

• One $110,000 Grant for Greater Susquehanna Valley counties – Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Union.
• One $110,000 Grant for Lycoming County.
• Programs/projects must either have a total budget of $110,000 or if over $110,000 the other funding sources must be committed by August 31, 2026

The Cowles Charitable Trust Grant supports initiatives aligned with the philanthropic legacy of Gardner Cowles, Jr. Focused on education, social justice, health, and the arts, it favors organizations recognized as 501(c)(3) by the IRS. The Trust encourages applications for general operating support and seeks partnerships rather than being the sole funder. Notably, it considers applications from established partners and supports efforts in Downstate New York and South Florida, with a preference for diverse funding sources.

The Williamsport Lycoming Competitive Grant Cycle provides funding for qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving Williamsport and Lycoming County. 2026 FCFP Birthday Grants for Lycoming County

Competitive grant program that supports nonprofit organizations with missions relating to arts and culture, education, health and human service, youth, environment, and economic development in Lycoming County.

The EQT Foundation Grant Program supports nonprofits with a focus on community enrichment, education, and environmental preservation in areas aligned with EQT Corporation's business operations. Since 2003, it has awarded over $74 million, emphasizing impactful, evidence-based proposals that foster safe and sustainable communities. Eligible organizations must be tax-exempt and demonstrate effective resource management. The foundation prioritizes projects that promote STEM education, community engagement, and conservation efforts to enhance quality of life in the regions it serves.

The Gupta Family Foundation Grant aims to empower disadvantaged individuals by providing financial support to organizations that foster self-reliance. Headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, the foundation offers grants ranging from $5,000 to over $250,000, prioritizing smaller organizations with a strong commitment to their missions. Eligibility typically includes US-based IRS 501(c)(3) entities, with operations extending to countries like India and Kenya. The foundation emphasizes mission alignment and effective resource allocation to ensure maximum impact.

The PPL Foundation offers Energizing Education Grants to support equitable, high-quality educational opportunities for all students. Grants of up to $50,000 are available for programs focused on STEM, literacy, and college readiness, particularly emphasizing careers in the energy sector. Nonprofits in regions served by PPL Electric Utilities are encouraged to apply, fostering community development and educational advancement across Pennsylvania.

Century Fund for Strong Neighborhoods Competitive Grant Program

The Century Fund was established in 2016 as a result of a development campaign to celebrate FCFP’s 100th birthday.

This Fund will support civic, economic development, recreational, and youth grant initiatives for the residents of Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union County. It will celebrate neighborhoods, showcase our environmental treasures, and guide our youth toward a positive future.

The Lycoming Economic Development Foundation Fund, established in partnership with the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania, aims to stimulate economic growth in Lycoming County. This fund supports initiatives that enhance community life by promoting job creation, workforce development, infrastructure improvement, and sustainable business practices. Since its inception in 1955, the foundation has focused on fostering local philanthropic efforts to ensure a thriving economy for residents of Lycoming County.

The Georgia-Pacific Foundation Grant supports organizations in the Metro Atlanta area, focusing on education, entrepreneurship, community enrichment, and environmental sustainability. Established in 1958, the foundation prioritizes investments that align with its mission and values, promoting long-term well-being within communities where Georgia-Pacific operates. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, public schools, and local government entities located within 30 miles of GP manufacturing sites.

The Lycoming County Emergency Service Grant Program, established in 1916, aims to support local fire companies, volunteer organizations, and emergency medical services in Lycoming County. The program provides funding for facility renovations, equipment repairs, and member training, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness. Strong preference is given to collaborative efforts between organizations, ensuring a unified approach to enhancing emergency services. This initiative underscores the commitment to fostering effective public safety solutions and sustaining positive social change for the region.

The PPL Foundation, a corporate funder, offers Powering Equity Grants to support nonprofit organizations focused on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Grants of up to $50,000 are available for initiatives that foster educational success and community revitalization within the 29 Pennsylvania counties served by PPL Electric Utilities. Eligible organizations must demonstrate their impact on these communities, with an emphasis on protecting underrepresented residents. This grant program aims to enhance the quality of life in the region.

The Little League Fund for Youth Sports Grant Program, established in 2016, supports organizations in Lycoming County dedicated to promoting youth sports activities for children under 16 and individuals with special needs. Grants help enhance participation by reducing barriers like fees and equipment costs. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits or local government units, while ineligible requests cover annual campaigns, operating expenses, and multi-year funding. This initiative aims to foster healthy living through sports.

The Dr. George H. and Mrs. Hettie S. Love 'Love of Learning' Scholarship Fund, established by the Bishop Nathan Baxter Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians, supports Black students and students of color pursuing education degrees. Preference is given to those attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), particularly Cheyney University, Lincoln University, and St. Augustine's University. The scholarship aims to empower future educators from the Black community, ensuring they have the resources needed to succeed.

The O'Reilly Automotive Foundation Grant focuses on enhancing community welfare through philanthropic initiatives that support economic stability, workforce development, health services, and disaster relief. Established in 2020, the Foundation seeks to empower underrepresented individuals and organizations in the U.S. by addressing vital community needs. It particularly aims to provide assistance to nonprofits that foster positive change and improve quality of life for those in need, ensuring a lasting impact in local communities.

The True Inspiration Awards, established by Chick-fil-A in 2015, recognizes nonprofit organizations that significantly impact their communities. In 2025, the program will distribute $6 million in grants, ranging from $30,000 to $350,000, to sixteen selected organizations. Categories include Caring for People, Caring through Food, Community, and Caring for our Planet, with a focus on educational initiatives, food security, housing services, and environmental stewardship, honoring the legacy of founder S. Truett Cathy.

The PPL Foundation's Empowering Communities Grants provide up to $50,000 to support initiatives that enhance education, workforce development, and community revitalization. Targeting nonprofits in the PPL Electric Utilities region, these grants focus on environmental stewardship, economic development, and promoting sustainable communities. Eligible organizations must demonstrate their impact in improving community quality of life, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Applications are limited to one per organization per grant cycle.
