PLTW Computer Science - New Program In Partnership With Lam Research

The Lam Foundation supports schools implementing or expanding a PLTW program in or near several of their U.S. communities. Schools seeking support for PLTW Gateway or PLTW Engineering will receive priority. The Lam Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Lam Research, a leading provider of equipment and services to the semiconductor industry.

Program Requirements

The purpose of this grant is to assist the grantee's implementation of the PLTW Computer Science program. Grantee must offer at least one PLTW Computer Science course in the 2027-2028 academic year and must offer one additional course in the 2028-2029 academic year (two different courses in two years). Grantee may implement any PLTW Computer Science courses of their choosing. Grantee must complete two years of grant reporting.

The Northern Cincinnati Foundation Scholarship supports graduating seniors from Butler, Warren, or Hamilton Counties who demonstrate financial need and intend to pursue a 2 or 4-year degree. Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0. This scholarship aims to alleviate the financial burden of higher education, empowering students to achieve their academic goals and contribute positively to their communities.

The L&L Nippert Charitable Foundation Grant supports organizations that enhance the lives of residents in the Tri-State Area through cultural arts, education, environment, or health initiatives. Established in 1981, the foundation is committed to continuing the philanthropic legacy of Louis and Louise Nippert. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) public charities and demonstrate a clear benefit to the community. This grant aims to foster opportunities that align with the foundation's mission.

The Louise Dieterle Nippert Musical Arts Fund Grant, established by the L&L Nippert Charitable Foundation, aims to support organizations enhancing musical and cultural arts, education, environment, and health in the Tri-State Area. Eligible organizations must be verified 501(c)(3) charities and demonstrate their impact on local residents. The foundation continues the philanthropic legacy of Louis and Louise Nippert, focusing on community enrichment through the arts and education.

The Michael J. Colligan Fund, established by the Hamilton Community Foundation, honors veterans by providing financial support for bands in Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Fourth of July parades. This initiative reflects a commitment to patriotism and community pride, ensuring that the sacrifices of veterans are recognized and celebrated, while fostering civic engagement and remembrance within the community.

The HIGHER Fund Grants, established in 2023 by the Neil Cohen family, are administered by the Hamilton Community Foundation. These grants focus on youth-centered programs that promote character and social-emotional development. With a commitment to fostering personal growth, the fund prioritizes innovative initiatives that embody values such as honesty, integrity, and empathy. This initiative continues the Cohen family's legacy of philanthropy, supporting the community's future through impactful funding.

Responsible Fatherhood Initiative: Strong Fathers, Strong Families

The purpose of this RFGA is to solicit Applications for DCY, through the Ohio Commission on Fatherhood, to implement the Responsible Fatherhood Initiative to strengthen father engagement across Ohio. The initiative will provide fathers with resources, support, and encouragement to enhance their parenting role, including a statewide media campaign and locally delivered services.

This RFGA is being issued pursuant to Ohio House Bill 96 and Ohio Revised Code (R.C.) 5180.706. DCY will award a total of $1.8 million annually to support services across 12 counties. Funding is set at $150,000 per county, per state fiscal year. Each Application must clearly identify the specific county to be served. Future phases will expand the Responsible Fatherhood Initiative to include all counties across Ohio.

Applicants may submit up to four applications in a single submission through the GMS system. When applying for multiple counties, each county must be submitted as a separate, clearly labeled document, and all selected counties must fall within the same designated region as defined in Exhibit 1. Each application will be reviewed and scored independently.

Applicants must demonstrate that they have, or will secure, an appropriate service location within the proposed county—whether an existing site it operates or a partner facility—to ensure equal access for fathers. Applications must demonstrate capacity to deliver county-based programming that (1) engages fathers, parents, and mentors, (2) reaches high-need populations, and (3) builds partnerships that strengthen local support systems.

The overarching objective of this Grant is to improve outcomes for children and families by equipping fathers with the tools, resources, and support needed to build stable, positive relationships with their children.

By prioritizing financial literacy and cultural experiences, the Fund aims to revitalize communities and foster long-term impact, ensuring resources benefit the region sustainably. This initiative reflects a commitment to improving the quality of life for residents in Butler County, Ohio.

Valorie Wolcott Mendelson Ohio School Psychologists Association Scholarship Fund

The Ohio School Psychologists Association established the scholarship to benefit graduates students who are in the second term of their first year at one of the eight Ohio Graduate Training Programs in School Psychology.

The Tide Cleaners Scholarship, offered by franchisees Ray and Marilyn D'Alonzo, supports a dedicated high school senior from Butler County pursuing higher education at a 2 or 4-year institution. Eligible candidates must demonstrate strong leadership qualities, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above, and work part-time to fund their studies. A letter of recommendation from both an employer and a teacher is required, ensuring a well-rounded application.

The altafiber Sponsorships and Donations Program is dedicated to enhancing community well-being by investing in initiatives that promote economic and social mobility. With a commitment to volunteerism and local partnerships, altafiber aims to give back to the communities where their employees and customers reside. This program exemplifies altafiber's mission to provide exceptional services while fostering positive change in the areas they serve, ensuring a lasting impact through strategic investments.

The Duke Energy Foundation offers Local Impact Grants of up to $20,000 to support initiatives in vibrant economies, climate resiliency, and equity. These grants aim to enhance community well-being through workforce development, environmental projects, and inclusive programs. Open year-round, the grants prioritize organizations serving Ohio counties where Duke Energy operates, fostering sustainable growth and opportunity for underrepresented populations.

Only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply, while individuals are excluded from submitting applications. The SpartanNash Foundation Grant supports nonprofit organizations focused on Hunger, Heroes, and Hope. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations located within a 30-mile radius of SpartanNash facilities. The Foundation ensures that every dollar raised directly benefits partner organizations, with a commitment to community impact. Grants are not available for ineligible entities, including those outside the radius or not aligned with the Foundation's mission. Since its inception in 2015, the Foundation has positively influenced local communities.

These grants are vital for supporting tax-exempt organizations classified as 501(c)(3) charities. The Fred and Alice Wallace Charitable Grant supports local non-profit organizations addressing healthcare and educational needs in the Miami Valley, Ohio. There are no strict submission deadlines for proposals, which are reviewed quarterly. Eligible organizations must be tax-exempt under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3). Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) charities and align projects with the mission of Impact100. The initiative fosters collaboration while prohibiting funding for operating costs, travel, and faith-based advancements.

The AES Ohio Foundation's Power Grants aim to create lasting community impact through innovative programs across its 24-county service area. With $822,000 allocated for 2024, these grants support initiatives addressing basic needs like food and housing, enhancing education, and fostering diversity and inclusion. The Foundation commits to at least two grants annually, prioritizing projects that demonstrate measurable outcomes. This approach aligns with their goal to uplift local communities and empower individuals to improve their lives.

The UNCF Student Professional Development Programs (SPDP) Department works closely with some of the nation’s leading corporations and foundations to shape and execute internship programs, including both stand-alone internship programs and internship-and-scholarship programs

The UNCF Student Professional Development Programs (SPDP) Department works closely with some of the nation’s leading corporations and foundations to shape and execute internship programs, including both stand-alone internship programs and internship-and-scholarship programs with two goals – 

• To help companies build a more diverse workforce; 
• To provide diverse students with the preparation they need to succeed in college, familiarize themselves with professional career paths, and prepare to be competitive candidates for internships and future employers after graduation.

UNCF’s SPDP partners include The Walt Disney Company, Toyota, Papa Johns, United Health Foundation, Wells Fargo, and the Walton Family Foundation. We currently serve over 1500 students annually through internship, leadership, and professional development services.

The UNCF Student Professional Development Programs (SPDP) offer career readiness, success coaching, and paid summer and semester internships to college students. Students participating in SPDP will be exposed to career pathways and opportunities and have access to leadership and personal development training. 

SPDP students will:

• Prepare to navigate from college to early-stage careers
• Enhance professional experiences through meaningful internships
• Develop stronger project management skills
• Improve networking and communication skills
• Strengthen interviewing techniques 

Currently, the SPDP is sourcing candidates to fill for summer 2026 internships!! The Early Career Talent Development General Application is used to establish an applicant pool of potentially eligible students for these ongoing internship/student professional development opportunities that are published/unpublished. Internship or professional development opportunities using the Early Career Talent Development General Application, are restricted to students who are enrolled full time at an accredited institution within the U.S. during the 2025-2026 academic year.

The UNCF Early Talent Opportunity Program (ETOP) is a summer experience comprised of workshops and individual sessions designed to offer customized support for undergraduate college students who are interested in securing a valuable internship experience.

The UNCF Early Talent Opportunity Program (ETOP) is a FREE summer experience comprised of a series of workshops and individual career coaching designed to offer personalized support for rising college sophomores and juniors who are interested in securing an internship for the following summer. Over 5 weeks, students participate in 1 hour 15-minute virtual workshops designed to take a deeper dive into specific topics for career development and student success.
