Georgia's Own Grant

At least 85% of the Foundation’s grants must fall within our mission of empowering local youth. Past grantees have used their funds to promote children’s wellbeing through financial literacy, sports-based youth development, access to healthcare, food, and housing, education, the arts, and more.

Each year a small amount may be allocated outside these areas, which enables us to respond to unplanned opportunities and meet unknown needs.

Grant Size

The total amount awarded will be determined by the previous year’s fundraising efforts, and individual grants may vary in size—up to, but not to exceed $10,000. The SCC Nashville Grant Program, managed by Speedway Children's Charities, supports nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children in middle Tennessee. With over $80,000 distributed in 2024, the program prioritizes funding for organizations addressing homelessness, education, and critical health needs. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits focused on children's welfare. The grant process includes a pre-proposal and an invitation-only full proposal, culminating in a celebration at the Annual Night of Joy.

The US Dept. of Health & Human Services is funding innovative projects to enhance adoption outcomes for children with complex needs. Eligible applicants may submit one application per cycle, with particular attention given to measurable outcomes and projects addressing emerging community needs.

The Berrien Community Foundation's "For Good" Grants support community projects in Berrien County, Michigan. These grants are available in two sizes: Major grants ($1,501-$15,000) and Minor grants (up to $1,500). The Banks Family Foundation provides grants to organizations and agencies located in Northern Alameda Country. The Foundation is interested in providing funding for programs that directly serve the health, education and welfare of youth.

Grants may range from a few hundred dollars up to $15,000. In unique circumstances, we would consider a more significant grant for a program having a major impact in our areas of interest.

The Banks Family Foundation accepts grant applications on a continuous basis. Grant disbursements are made annually. The applications must be consistent with the mission and guidelines established by the Trustees. The Trustees appreciate applications that are concise and accurate.

Grant disbursements are scheduled to be made annually in December. Applications should be received by November 1 by U.S. mail.

The Edwin Phillips Foundation Grant supports children up to 21 years old with physical, health, or developmental challenges, particularly in Marshfield and Plymouth County, Massachusetts.
