Purpose of the Fund
The purpose of the Fund shall be for grants exclusively for charitable, scientific or educational objectives, subject to the purpose and intent of the DCF, applicable law and Internal Revenue Service regulation. The Fund is intended to provide grants to qualified charitable organizations that support scientific, educational, historical, cultural and artistic programs focusing on the canal, as defined as from Roosevelt Inlet in Lewes at the north and to the mouth above Dewey Beach emptying into Rehoboth Bay.
Better World Scholarship Fund
The scholarship encourages women to acquire a degree in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) field. The donor’s bachelor’s degree is in mathematics, followed 15 years later with a master’s degree in business administration. Her degree in mathematics provided opportunities for jobs in software development and application, medical research, technical documentation, organizational education and training, scientific research, and business. Her career was challenging, dynamic, encouraged creativity, never boring, offered schedule flexibility that allowed her to parent her four children, provided career choice independence, and was lucrative. Redding Electric Utility (REU) is proud to offer students in the Redding community awards from the REU Powering Redding’s Future Scholarship, Program. The purpose of REU’s Program is to identify and support local students dreaming and planning to attend community college, a 4-year college/university, or technical school. The primary goals of REU’s Powering Redding’s Future program is to encourage Redding’s youth to consider a college/university or technical school education that may lead to career opportunities in the electric utility industry, preferably with REU. Samerian Foundation
Founded in 2003, the Samerian Foundation is dedicated to perpetuating the vision of Cindy and Paul Skjodt, the founders. The event was held on April 22, 1990 to coincide with the worldwide observance of Earth Day.
In 1993, the balance remaining in the fund and the addition of subsequent donations were used to establish an endowed scholarship for students enrolling in programs related to environmental fields of study.

EPSCoR RII Research Fellows Limited Competition
EPSCoR RII: EPSCoR Research Fellows directly aligns with the NSF EPSCoR strategic goal of establishing sustainable Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) professional development pathways that advance workforce development and effects engagement in STEM at national and global levels. EPSCoR RII: EPSCoR Research Fellows provides awards to build research capacity in institutions and transform the career trajectories of investigators and further develop their individual research potential through collaborations with investigators from the nation's premier private, governmental, or academic research institutions and/or centers. The fellowship provides opportunities to establish strong collaborations through extended or periodic collaborative visits to a selected host site. Through collaborative research activities with the host site, Fellows will be able to learn new techniques, develop new collaborations, advance existing partnerships, benefit from access to unique equipment and facilities, and/or shift their research toward potentially transformative new directions. The experiences gained through the fellowships are intended to have lasting impacts that will enhance the Fellows' research trajectories well beyond the award period. The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley is a public charitable foundation based in Aurora, Illinois, dedicated to improving quality of life across the Fox River Valley, including the Greater Aurora area and Kane and Kendall counties. The Conservation Foundation Environmental Scholarship Fund
In 2007, Ron Yenerich of Oswego created an environmental scholarship fund to encourage respect for the world future generations will inherit. Called The Conservation Foundation Environmental Scholarship Fund, it provides annual awards to local students pursuing careers in natural resource management (forestry, wildlife management, etc.) or other environmentally related fields of study. In the awarding of these scholarships, preference is given to candidates with a strong commitment to the preservation of the environment as evidenced through their work-related, volunteer or other community activities. Ron Yenerich is a graduate of Indiana University and served as an officer in the United States Army for five years.
This FOA is intended for proposals related to basic and applied research in the STEM categories, and not related to the development of a specific system or hardware procurement.The proposal submission process has two stages:I. Applicants are encouraged to submit a white paper first to Grants@NPS.edu, ; andII. Applicants must submit a full proposal through Grants.gov (do not submit white papers through Grants.gov, only full proposals)Applicants are encouraged to submit a White Paper in advance of a Full Proposal to minimize the labor and other costs associated with the production of detailed full proposals that have little chance of being selected for funding. Based on an assessment of the white papers, the responsible Research Program Officer will provide informal feedback notification to the prospective awardees to encourage or discourage submission proposals. The Research Program Officer may also, on occasion, provide feedback encouraging re-work to strengthen a proposal. White Papers may be submitted at any time during the open period of this FOA. A separate White Paper is required for each research proposal.

Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley (CFHV) empowers individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to fulfill their philanthropic goals through the establishment of charitable funds that support the needs of Dutchess, Putnam and Ulster counties. Ruth Oja Environmental Scholarship
Established by the Red Hook Town Conservation Advisory Council in honor of Ruth Oja, this scholarship is available to students who are residents of Red Hook, NY who are college bound graduating high school seniors or the home-schooled equivalent pursuing studies in environmental science or a related discipline or who have demonstrated a sensitivity to the environment through leadership/participation in pro-environmental programs like recycling, land conservancy, environmental cleanup projects, etc. This scholarship shall be applied to tuition costs at an accredited college university or trade school.

Scholarship eligibility requires students to attend an accredited 2 or 4 year public or private institution of higher learning. All scholarships are for full-time students, unless otherwise noted. Renewable awards are for 4 years of undergraduate study and cannot be used for post graduate coursework; all awards are paid directly to the school or may be used for book reimbursement.
Chantal and Tommy Bagwell Family Scholarship
The Rotary Club of Forsyth County Chantal and Tommy Bagwell Family Scholarship (formerly the Bagwell Scholarship) support Forsyth County high school graduating seniors planning to pursue their post-secondary education at a public school in the State of Georgia. Eligible students may attend an accredited college or university, technical school or trade school. This scholarship prioritizes students with financial need, a commitment to completing their program of study, and clear long-term career goals. Preference will be given to first generation college students who participate in a STEM pathway, CTAE pathway, or another high-demand career pathway.
The Chantal and Tommy Bagwell Family Scholarship encourages students to further their education and build meaningful careers in Georgia. Selected students will pledge to pursue educational success and, when able, give back to help others reach their goals. In 2026, the scholarship will include ten one-time awards, each in the amount of $5,000.
David M. Martin Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the E. E. Butler Class of 1969 in memory of David M. Martin, the son of David Jerome Martin and Cornelia Martin.
The scholarship is awarded every other year, based on financial need, to an African American student who is either a graduating senior or currently enrolled in college and pursuing or planning to pursue a career in a STEM-related field. Eligible applicants must also be descendants of any student who attended the historic Fair Street School or E. E. Butler High School in Gainesville-Hall County between 1936 and 1969.
David M. Martin loved computer science and had a lifelong passion for the latest technology. In honor of this, preference will be given to students who share an interest in computer technology and who are majoring in fields such as Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Security and/or Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Informatics.
The 2026 scholarship award will be $1,000.

NFB STEM Scholarship
The NFB STEM Scholarship is jointly supported by the Science and Engineering and Computer Science divisions, and it is awarded to a student studying in science, technology, engineering, mathematics or a related field. Members of these divisions wish to encourage the success of blind STEM students in their chosen field of study.
AAUW International Fellowship- Doctoral Degree
AAUW’s International Fellowships promotes education and equity for women by investing in international applicants who will be pursuing graduate studies in the U.S. in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) disciplines, with the intention of applying their expertise, professional skills, and leadership in service of their home countries and/or the communities in which they reside. In addition, a limited number of awards are available for study in any country other than their own. International Fellowships are specifically designed for women who are non-U.S. citizens or permanent residents, with a track record of academic excellence and empowering other women and girls. The Program has been supporting international women pursuing full-time postgraduate studies in the United States since 1917.
International Fellowships carry a stipend of $25,000 for a doctorate degree. Stipends are payable to fellows only and are disbursed in two equal payments at the beginning and the midpoint of the fellowship term.
