Economic Mobility
The Economic Mobility focus area supports charitable and educational programs that strengthen workforce readiness, postsecondary and skills-based educational pathways, and housing stability to promote long-term prosperity. This support is focused on Marion County, Indiana, with the goal of improving economic opportunity for low-income communities and advancing community well-being.
The Recreational Trails Program (RTP) is a federal grant initiative funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and administered at the state level by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). The purpose of the RTP is to provide financial assistance for the development and maintenance of recreational trails, trailheads and trailside facilities for both non-motorized and motorized recreational trail uses.
In recognition of the fact that free professional public library service for all Floridians is an important part of the state’s educational infrastructure and greatly enhances and enriches the quality of life in the state, the over-arching goal of the State Aid to Libraries Program is to assist local governments in maintaining and developing such vital services, specifically providing equal access to free public library service to all residents of the service areas of participating governments, coordinating library service throughout the service area and providing consistent plans, programs, policies and procedures in the operation, maintenance and development of library service throughout the service area.
Florida’s Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS Program is a federal program designed to directly address the housing needs and supportive services of individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families. In addition, the project sponsors will be responsible for administrative oversight of all housing and supportive services funded through these contracts.
Hazard Mitigation Grant Program
The Hazard Mitigation Grant Program is authorized by Section 404 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act. It is a partnership that is designed to assist states, local governments, private non-profit organizations and Indian Tribes in implementing long-term hazard mitigation measures following a major disaster declaration.

Funding for equipment is contingent upon an evidence of need clearly defined within the problem statement and a comprehensive plan that requires the use of the requested equipment. Enforcement subgrants should focus on enforcement efforts and concepts requesting a majority of funding for equipment are discouraged. Subgrants for equipment only are not allowable.
