Helen "Heidi" Badgett Scholarship

The Helen "Heidi" Badgett Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to re-entry adults who are returning to college after a period away from school or students graduating from high school or college seeking to further their academic, professional, or career training. Grants will be awarded to applicants with limited financial means who have a strong desire to further their education and demonstrate sufficient academic promise to complete their course of study.

The Austin E. Knowlton Foundation Grant, established in 1981, provides financial support to students pursuing higher education in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. With a focus on STEM fields, the Foundation aims to promote academic excellence through direct grants to qualified colleges and universities. Norton Healthcare invites you to apply for our summer internship program. The program runs from May to August and is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

In this immersive, 12-week, paid internship program, you will receive hands-on experience, explore many facets of our health care system and learn how we continuously strive to improve the quality of care for our patients, community and employees.

The King’s Daughters and Sons Foundation of Kentucky supports non-profit organizations in Kentucky, focusing on health, education, and general welfare. Harold & Mary Snook Scholarship

The Harold & Mary Snook Scholarship was established to provide scholarship assistance to help defray technical or trade school, college or university expenses of students in financial need who are pursuing studies in education or any medical field, with preference to those studying nursing. Students who do not have a GPA or test score that are believed to be reflective of their skills and ability are asked to provide an explanation in the form of an essay.

Pisgah Chapter of Trout Unlimited William L. Arbuckle Memorial Scholarship

Recipients of this award must be accepted to an accredited degree granting college or university within the Southern Appalachian Region. Recipients must be pursuing an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in the field of fisheries, aquaculture, freshwater biology, or other related fields.

Dunaway Scholarship

The Dunaway Scholarship was established in 2004 by Samuel M. Dunaway to provide educational grants to graduating seniors from any high school located in Breckinridge, Butler, Edmonson, Grayson, Hancock, and Ohio Counties in Kentucky. The scholarship is based on financial need and recipients will be selected on their determination and ability to successfully complete the degree and/or education program to which they are enrolled.

Armstrong County Community Foundation

The Armstrong County Community Foundation, a public nonprofit corporation,

• Gives grants, scholarships, and organizational support to address the needs of our community.
• Builds a permanent endowment to help our donors create a legacy through this endowment.
• Promotes informed philanthropy to increase and sustain charitable resources for the region.
• Provides leadership and builds partnerships to identify and solve community issues.

Gerstbrein/McCanna Scholarship for the Arts

After a long and rewarding career in Landscape Design and Art Education, Lisa Gerstbrein/McCanna wanted to promote the Arts and Industrial Arts in the community where she made her home and her livelihood. Her career brought her tremendous joy in pursuits that she loved as well as the satisfying reward of helping students find inspiration in the worlds of Art and Industrial Art. She is a true believer in the concept of STEAM based education. Accordingly, she established a fund to provide scholarships for the advanced education of advancing Senior High School Students in these areas who are residents of Armstrong County, Pennsylvania and are pursuing higher education in an approved program within 300 miles of their respective school - Armstrong High School, West Shamokin High School or Lenape Technical School.

The John Dink Memorial Scholarship, established by the Central Kentucky Community Foundation, aims to support residents of Hardin County who plan to attend a Kentucky college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.8. Since its inception in 1960, this scholarship has provided valuable educational opportunities, encouraging local students to pursue higher education and contribute positively to their communities.

Dr. Lynn Wagner Scholarship

Dr. Lynn Koch Wagner's passion was history and teaching history. She was a Louisville native and Southern High School graduate, who went on to earn multiple degrees in history at Morehead State College and her Doctorate of Education at the University of Louisville. Dr. Wagner taught for more than thirty years at the University of Louisville, Bellarmine University, and Jefferson Community College. Her sister and brother-in-law, Elise and Dann Stevens, along with Dr. Wagner's brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews, are creating this scholarship to honor her lifetime commitment to education and in the hopes of assisting other promising students in Jefferson County, Kentucky. Specifically, this scholarship is designed to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college or university expenses of students pursuing a college education.

Donna Scholarship

The Donna Scholarship was established by Sam and Pat Kinnaird in honor of Pat's sister, Donna McHugh. Donna attended college while working and raising three children. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville in 2002 and a master's degree from Loyola University in 2010. The Donna Scholarship Fund is designed to provide scholarship assistance to help defray the cost of tuition, books, and fees of single, working mothers residing in Metro Louisville who demonstrate financial need.

Denise Fleck Memorial Scholarship

The Denise Fleck Memorial Scholarship was established by her family to honor a courageous woman dedicated to the prevention and intervention of tobacco use by teens. Denise was instrumental in the implementation of the “Teens Against Tobacco Use” program in Kentucky and worked extensively with many health-related organizations. This scholarship fund is designed to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college or university expenses of students who are actively involved in community service activities for the prevention and intervention of tobacco use by their peers.

The Ernest Morgan Memorial Scholarship, managed by CommunityGiving, supports central Minnesota student athletes and leaders to pursue higher education outside their home states. This scholarship aims to expand students' horizons and experiences, with a total award of $5,000 available. Open to high school seniors from specific schools, applicants are encouraged to apply online and demonstrate their leadership or athletic skills. This initiative enhances educational opportunities and fosters personal growth among local youth.

Carolyn P. Bogan Scholarship

The Carolyn P. Bogan Scholarship is designed to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college, university, vocational, trade or professional certificate expenses of students graduating from a high school located in Eastern Kentucky or the Appalachia region of Kentucky. 

The L.B. Research and Education Foundation Grant Program supports U.S.-based nonprofits focusing on innovative education and health solutions for underserved populations. Eligible organizations can apply by submitting a 400-word concept paper, and selected applicants may receive funding ranging from $10,000 to $75,000. The Foundation prioritizes projects that foster critical thinking and creativity, address health disparities, and encourage collaboration. There are no application deadlines, promoting year-round engagement.

The BrightSpring Brighter Futures Scholarship was established to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college or university expenses of underserved student populations.
