Outside of a specific RFP, a first-time funded organization will typically receive a grant of $1,000 to $5,000. Once we have some history with an organization, we will entertain a request at a higher value.

Donald W. Reynolds Community Non-Profit Center

The purpose of the Donald W. Reynolds Community Nonprofit Center (DWR Center) is to provide an economical and collaborative environment for nonprofit organizations. Since 2002, Parasol has operated the DWR Center as an innovative grant program providing nonprofit organizations with furnished office space, secure storage space and access to professional meeting rooms and event space. These grants are awarded to nonprofit, public charities and are annually renewable.

As the philanthropic arm of Elevance Health, Inc., the Elevance Health Foundation promotes the organization’s commitment to improving lives and communities.

For 25 years, we’ve been committed to, connected with, and invested in communities across the country. It all started with our signature Healthy Generations program, through which the Foundation targeted specific preventable health concerns while addressing the disparities and social drivers that affect them. By using innovative social-mapping technology and by analyzing public-health data, we gained a snapshot of the major health issues affecting each state, which allowed us to drill down to the zip-code level and target initiatives positively affecting the conditions that matter most. We called this “putting science behind the art of grantmaking.”

In 2021, the effects of COVID-19, together with social unrest, began to call attention to racial inequities and health disparities that have plagued our communities for too long and resulted in poorer health outcomes. Recognizing that health is so much more than healthcare, and understanding the needs of our communities, the Elevance Health Foundation redefined its approach and tightened its focus.

Over a three-year period (July 2021–July 2024), the Foundation committed up to $90 million toward partnerships and programs that improved maternal health, encouraged food as medicine, reduced substance use disorders, and supported community resiliency and disaster relief. We are proud to report that the Foundation has exceeded its commitment and awarded $97.3 million in grants, providing funding to over 12,000 nonprofit partners across the country. The Foundation will continue to focus its efforts in four key areas: Maternal/Infant Health, Food as Medicine, Behavioral Health, and Community Resiliency & Disaster Relief.

 Behavioral Health Grant

As a catalyst for positive change, the Elevance Health Foundation drives innovative and scalable solutions to address physical, behavioral, and social needs through a multi-lever approach to community investment.

Over the next five years, we will continue our grantmaking focus on substance use disorder (SUD) and expand our support to include mental health (MH) initiatives. We invite qualified nonprofits with a history of successful community initiatives to join us in this mission.

The Foundation will prioritize funding for programs that increase the number of individuals receiving treatment for MH and/or SUD, support prevention and early-intervention strategies, and seek to reduce loneliness among individuals with these disorders.

Types of Programs / Locations

Elevance Health will consider proposals from qualified organizations across the U.S. with an emphasis on:

National programs. Promoting scalable and sustainable systemic change, or

Local programs. Implementing relevant interventions in California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia.

Grant Program Goals

Elevance Health Foundation is requesting proposals for programs and initiatives that support one or more of the following goals:

• Achieve a percent increase in the number of individuals receiving treatment services for MH and/or SUD
• Support prevention and early intervention strategies to reduce risks and harms associated with MH and/or SUD
• Reduce social isolation and feelings of loneliness among individuals with MH and/or SUD

What does this program do?

This program helps eligible communities prepare, or recover from, an emergency that threatens the availability of safe, reliable drinking water.

What kind of event can qualify as an emergency?

• Drought or flood
• Earthquake
• Tornado or hurricane
• Disease outbreak
• Chemical spill, leak or seepage
• Other disasters

How may the funds be used?

• Water transmission line grants up to $150,000 to construct waterline extensions, repair breaks or leaks in existing water distribution lines, and address related maintenance necessary to replenish the water supply
• Water source grants up to $1,000,000 are to construct a water source, intake or treatment facility

Why does USDA Rural Development do this?

This program helps prevent damage or restore households and business' access to clean, reliable drinking water in eligible rural areas and towns following natural disasters. Funding can improve the natural environment and encourage manufacturers and other businesses to locate or expand operations.

PNC Foundation

Strengthening and enriching the lives of our neighbors in communities where we live and work.

Vision & Mission

For decades, we have provided resources to seed ideas, foster development initiatives and encourage leadership in nonprofit organizations where imagination and determination are at work enhancing people's lives everyday.

The PNC Foundation's priority is to form partnerships with community-based nonprofit organizations in order to enhance educational opportunities, with an emphasis on early childhood education, and to promote the growth of communities through economic development initiatives.

Foundation Grant

The PNC Foundation supports a variety of nonprofit organizations with a special emphasis on those that work to achieve sustainability and touch a diverse population, in particular, those that support early childhood education and/or economic development.

Education

The PNC Foundation supports educational programs for children and youth, particularly early childhood education initiatives that meet the criteria established through PNC Grow Up Great. Specifically, PNC Grow Up Great grants must:

• Support early education initiatives that benefit children from birth to age five; and
• Serve a majority of children (>50%) from low- to moderate-income families; and
• Adhere to all other standard PNC Foundation guidelines, as outlined on the PNC Foundation website, applicant eligibility quiz, as well as the Foundation policies and procedures; and
• Include one or a combination of the following:
  • direct services/programs for children in their classroom or community;
  • professional development/workforce development for early childhood educators;
  • family and/or community engagement in children’s early learning
• Additional considerations:
  • The grant focus should include math, science, reading, vocabulary development, the arts, financial education, or social/emotional development.
  • The grant recipient, or collaborative partner, should have early childhood education as an area of focus. If the organization’s focus is beyond birth to age five, the specific grant must be earmarked for birth to age five.
  • Incorporate opportunities for PNC volunteers in classroom or non-classroom-based activities.

Economic Development

Economic development organizations, including those which enhance the quality of life through neighborhood revitalization, cultural enrichment and human services are given support. Priority is given to community development initiatives that strategically promote the growth of low-and moderate-income communities and/or provide services to these communities.

  • The PNC Foundation understands the critical need for affordable housing for low-and moderate-income individuals.
  • We are committed to providing support to nonprofit organizations that:
    • give counseling and services to help these individuals maintain their housing stock;
    • offer transitional housing units and programs; and/or
    • offer credit counseling assistance to individuals, helping them to prepare for homeownership.
• Community Development
  • Because small businesses are often critical components of community growth and help foster business development, the PNC Foundation provides support to nonprofit organizations that
    • offer technical assistance to, or loan programs for, small businesses located in low-and moderate-income areas or
    • support small businesses that employ low-and moderate-income individuals.
• Community Services
  • Support is given to social services organizations that benefit the health, education, quality of life or provide essential services for low-and moderate-income individuals and families.
  • The PNC Foundation supports job training programs and organizations that provide essential services for their families.

TIP: To Strengthen Your Application – Include an Employee Sponsor

On the online application, you will be asked if you have a sponsor and then offered the opportunity to provide their name. We will contact that employee to learn more about your work before the application is considered. Typically, an employee sponsor is a volunteer, board member or someone who has been helped by your organization. If you cannot identify an employee in your ranks, we recommend you speak to your local Store Manager to see if they would be willing to sponsor.

What does this program do?

This program provides funding for clean and reliable drinking water systems, sanitary sewage disposal, sanitary solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage to households and businesses in eligible rural areas.

How may the funds be used?

Funds may be used to finance the acquisition, construction or improvement of:

• Drinking water sourcing, treatment, storage and distribution
• Sewer collection, transmission, treatment and disposal
• Solid waste collection, disposal and closure
• Storm water collection, transmission and disposal

In some cases, funding may also be available for related activities such as:

• Legal and engineering fees
• Land acquisition, water and land rights, permits and equipment
• Start-up operations and maintenance
• Interest incurred during construction
• Purchase of facilities to improve service or prevent loss of service
• Other costs determined to be necessary for completion of the project

Wynn Resorts Donation & In-Kind Request

Wynn Resorts, Limited (“Wynn Resorts” or “the Company”) has a web-based only application process (“application process” or “application”) for non-profit organizations to submit charitable requests to the Company for corporate donations which include corporate funding and/or in-kind donations (e.g., room nights, show tickets, restaurants). 

WESTAF’s TourWest Grant provides flexible funding for presenters/presenting organizations within the WESTAF region to support their regional touring program. WESTAF also encourages the inclusion of community/educational outreach as part of an organization’s presentation of touring artists. 

TourWest is a competitive grant program funded by the National Endowment for the Arts to provide subsidies to arts and community organizations in the 13-state WESTAF region and jurisdictions, including Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa for the presentation of touring performers and literary artists. 

Through TourWest, WESTAF and the National Endowment for the Arts aim to encourage the presentation of performing arts programming to culturally diverse audiences and those that do not typically enjoy ready access to the performing arts. In order to understand local needs and interests, WESTAF advocates working directly with individuals and groups from the communities that your organization seeks to serve. Community engagement and participation are key components of a successful TourWest grant application. 

WESTAF defines regional touring as programming that presents out-of-state touring artists and/or in-state touring artists traveling at least 50 miles to your venue. Presenters/presenting organizations are defined as organizations that present or host guest artists for engagements in their communities. Presenters can include but are not limited to community cultural organizations, community centers, churches, schools/colleges/universities, libraries, museums, film festivals/series, and performing arts centers. Typically, producing organizations or performing arts groups are not considered presenters, and are encouraged to contact WESTAF to discuss eligibility.

TourWest seeks to support the engagement of new audiences as well as collaboration between the presenters, artists, agents, and communities. In addition to working collaboratively with the artist(s) and/or community partners in planning the project, WESTAF encourages presenters to take advantage of opportunities such as block booking, presenter networks, and booking conferences to reduce costs and make artistic opportunities available to a broader audience. Partnerships and collaborative efforts between presenters are considered in the panel’s evaluation of an application and project.

Program Overview

Creative West’s TourWest grant program, supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, provides funding to presenters and presenting organizations to bring touring performers and literary artists to communities throughout the Western region.

Regional touring is defined as:

Programming that brings out-of-state touring artists to your venue, or In-state artists traveling at least 50 miles from their home base TourWest focuses on expanding access to the performing arts, especially in underserved communities.

To support this goal:

• Creative West encourages working closely with local individuals and groups to understand and meet community needs.
• Applicants are urged to include community engagement or educational outreach activities in their projects.
• Collaboration with artists, agents, and community partners is highly encouraged, along with strategies like block booking and using presenter networks to reduce costs and maximize impact.

Nevada Women's Philanthropy Grants

Nevada Women’s Philanthropy annually awards one large grant and one unrestricted gift—the Impact Grant and the Founders Gift, respectively. NWP plans for an annual Impact Grant of $500,000.

The grant making process begins with an informational meeting held in the fall and hosted by The Outreach Committee. The Grant Symposium is open to all local nonprofit agencies who want to learn about the NWP grant process. Following the Symposium, agencies submit their grant applications and, if they meet the base criteria, NWP’s Grant Screening Committee reviews these applications in a multi-step process that determines the two finalists recommended to the full membership for a vote in the spring.

NWP considers applicants in the areas of arts, education, environment, health, child welfare, and social services. Grants may be requested for capital funds and/or program funds.

Successful proposals:

• Address an urgent and vital need;
• Demonstrate unique solutions to time-worn problems;
• Engage in new ventures and encourage collaboration.

Grants Program

The Nourishing Communities Grants Program provides financial support to local 501(c)(3) nonprofit meal programs that serve nutritious food to people facing food insecurity. By strengthening the capacity of community-based meal programs, the grants program aims to increase access to affordable, nutritious food for vulnerable populations struggling with food poverty, supporting the mission and activities of qualified nonprofit organizations.

This year, the Nourishing Communities Grant Program support will be directed to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations operating meal programs to feed the underserved in the communities providing fundraising initiatives.

Grants range from $1000 to $10,000.

Community Grant Program

The Junior League of Las Vegas appreciates your commitment to the Las Vegas community and taking the time to share your vision for the community. For nearly 80 years, the Junior League of Las Vegas has been instrumental in founding numerous nonprofits and improving the community through the thousands of volunteer hours contributed by our members.

Philanthropy is at the heart of the Junior League of Las Vegas, and our commitment to giving back through volunteerism and financial support has been essential in driving positive change and fostering a sense of unity and purpose within our community. By supporting philanthropic efforts, we can address immediate needs and invest in our city’s long-term well-being and development.

JLLV intends to fund organizations that are actively working to make our community safer and stronger for everyone. This year, JLLV will award Community Grants to new and/or pilot programs aimed at filling gaps in education, professional development, and/or financial development in our community. Preference will be given to applicants presenting creative and data-driven solutions to unmet and/or under-met community needs. This is open to all community nonprofits who meet the criteria listed above.

• Infrastructure investments include (but are not limited to) facility improvements, software implementations, and/or additional staff.
• Program growth necessitating this capital investment may come in the form of serving a larger population, serving a new population, and/or adding a new service that meets the additional needs of their existing client population.

Submissions selected will illustrate a long-lasting impact on the communities in which we live and operate.

Funding

The Junior League of Las Vegas is proud to support community projects and initiatives in the Las Vegas Valley, with funding available up to $100,000. The maximum grant amount varies yearly and will be noted on the grant.

Impact Las Vegas awards large grants to local nonprofits funding projects or programs benefitting Southern Nevadans and thereby providing these community organizations with the resources to accomplish extraordinary things.

Focus Areas

Impact Las Vegas accepts grant applications for the following focus areas:

• Culture: 
  • Initiatives, projects or programs that cultivate, develop and enhance the cultural and/or artistic climate in Southern Nevada.
• Education: 
  • Initiatives, projects, or programs that further the educational process or improve access to education for children and/or adult residents of Southern Nevada.
• Environment: 
  • Initiatives, projects or programs that aim to preserve or improve natural resources, encourage conservation, and/or that restore, preserve, revitalize or enhance historical facilities or surroundings of the Southern Nevada area.

Funding

All grant requests must be in the amount of the grant amount defined as available by Impact Las Vegas. We announce the exact amount of money available in the funding year in early January after the December 15th membership deadline.

Dream Tags Charitable Fund 

The Community Foundation of Western Nevada accepts proposals for grants from the Dream Tags Charitable Fund year round. Proposals are considered by the Advisory Board on Dream Tags, and grant recommendations must be approved by the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation.

NV Dream Tags fund is a charitable fund at the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada. CFNN, a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization was established to strengthen the region through leadership and philanthropy.

The Dream Tags Charitable Fund provides funding to engage Nevadans in wildlife conservation by focusing donated funds to restore resilience in at-risk Nevada habitats through strategic collaborative projects for a sustained impact that supports the preservation, protection, management, or restoration of big game and wildlife habitat. To be considered for funding, project proposals must demonstrate measurable impact in accordance with this purpose.

Project Evaluation Criteria

Each proposal will be evaluated on criteria that include but are not limited to:

• Measurable outcomes in accordance with the exclusive goal of the Dream Tags Charitable Fund.
• Monitoring and reporting to learn from the project and track project accomplishments.
• Closeness of project focus to areas of funding emphasis (on-the-ground habitat improvements).
• Readiness of sponsoring organization to undertake and complete project.
• Opportunities to partner with others to leverage funds and accomplish larger outcomes.
• Consistency with established Dream Tags Charitable Fund operations (timeline, match, etc.).
• Impact on preservation, protection, management, or restoration of Nevada’s big game and wildlife habitat.
• Absence of negative or unintended consequences.
• Solutions to known problems as identified through past research and monitoring.

• The number of local volunteers supporting the organization and the project
• The extent to which the applicant complements the services of other community organizations
• The extent to which the program addresses underlying causes, rather than just symptoms of specific problems
• The outcomes of monitoring and evaluating the organizations projects
• The commitment and composition of the organization’s Board of Directors or Board of Trustees
• The current budget and the prior year actuals to show the organization’s fiscal responsibility and management qualifications; and
• The ability of the organization to provide ongoing funding after the term of the grant

Grants are generally made for one year only.

Nevada Arts Council (NAC)

Mission

To enrich the cultural life of the state through leadership that preserves, supports, strengthens, and makes excellence in the arts accessible to all Nevadans.

Vision

A Nevada in which arts and creativity are understood for how they enrich the lives of all residents, enhance the livability of our communities, and contribute to the state’s economic vitality.

Goals

• Arts Education – conduct workshops, mentorships, professional development opportunities, regional and statewide convenings, and funding for contemporary and traditional artists, non-profit and cultural organizations, and public institutions. In addition, increasing arts education and arts integration into the curriculum of Nevada’s Pre-K-12 schools and promoting lifelong learning through use of arts and creativity in the social development, health, and healing for all Nevada citizens.
• Economic Vitality – addressing Nevadans access to arts and creativity through the recovery and sustainability of artists and arts organizations by creating funding opportunities, promoting cultural tourism, collaborating with government and business, improving creative infrastructure, developing financial viable creative districts, and supporting cultural awareness, understanding, and preservation.

Project Grant for Organizations

How the Program Works

The Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) Project Grant for Organizations (PGO) supports the arts and cultural activities of organizations and public institutions. Funds may be used to support the execution of one arts and culture project or a series of related activities. Examples of eligible projects include art exhibitions, performances, readings, and festivals.

The AmeriCorps Mission:

To improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering.

AmeriCorps

Currently, 270,000 members and volunteers serve with AmeriCorps across the nation.Purpose of AmeriCorps State and National Funding

They focus on these key areas to make an impact:

• AmeriCorps members and volunteers support students in nearly 12,000 public, private, and charter schools across the country. Through our work we improve attendance and engagement, increase high-school graduation rates and expand college enrollment.
• AmeriCorps programs serve as a pathway to employment opportunities and help develop vital work skills. They build and rehabilitate affordable housing, provide financial literacy training, connect people to jobs and so much more.
• When disaster strikes, members repair homes, assist survivors, and help restore communities when it matters most. AmeriCorps has deployed thousands of members and volunteers to areas affected by hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and tornadoes.
• AmeriCorps serves on projects that cover thousands of acres of public lands across America – including many with the National Park Service. They help conserve natural habitats, protect clean air and water, and reduce utility bills by improving home energy efficiency.
• AmeriCorps provides independent living services to 365,000 elderly Americans. They build the capacity of food banks, combat the opioid crisis, tackle homelessness, and address food insecurity. They provide health related education and resources to communities as well.
• AmeriCorps provides assistance to nearly 500,000 veterans and military families by connecting them to education opportunities, jobs, and the benefits they have earned. Many veterans also volunteer with AmeriCorps so they can continue to serve their country.

What role does Nevada Volunteers play?

Nevada Volunteers is the Governor’s Commission on Service and is a 501(c)(3). We are among a national network of State Commissions that administers AmeriCorps programs in Nevada, making it possible for 1,600 AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Senior members to work alongside citizens and volunteers to inspire and create change at the hyper-local level.

Since 1994, more than 6,600 Nevada residents have served approximately 9.2 million hours and earned education awards totaling more than $22.8 million.

We grant $2.9 million dollars in federal funds to organizations in Nevada and then ensure that they are able to meet all grant requirements and goals of their program through training and technical assistance. Nevada Volunteers has members serving in 15 of Nevada’s 17 counties—one community and one neighborhood at a time. Here is what their programs will be focusing on this grant year:

AmeriCorps Nevada Operational Grants

This is a funding opportunity for Institutions of higher education, local governments, including school districts, nonprofit organizations, State Service Commissions, States and US Territories, Indian Tribes, and public health departments to apply for AmeriCorps members to strengthen communities by serving.

Capacity building is not general operating support. Capacity building is defined as the ability of nonprofits to fulfill their missions in an effective manner. Capacity building grants may include but are not limited to technology or equipment purchases, professional development, technical assistance, etc.

Grant Guidelines

Grants from the John Krakauer Charitable Trust are guided by the donor’s philanthropic vision to support programs that have a measurable impact on people’s lives, with a focus on education, health, and human services in the Southern Nevada region and/or the San Diego area. Charitable organizations that are mission-centered, innovative, entrepreneurial, impactful, passionate, and collaborative exemplify the core values of the donor’s philanthropy.

Average giving

Average grant size for the first time grantee: $10,000.00 

Larger grants may be awarded to repeat grantees based on the impact made by the prior funding.

Community Grant Fund

Grant decisions will be made by our employee Community Grant Councils (CGC) based in each of the regions in which MGM Resorts International operates domestically. Each CGC meets and evaluates grant proposals from nonprofit agencies in its respective region to determine how the community grant funds will be allocated.

Nevada Arts Council (NAC)

Mission

To ensure that arts and creativity will continue to grow and play an ever-increasing part in the economic vitality, cultural development, quality of life, and educational experience of the residents of the State of Nevada.

Vision

A Nevada in which arts and creativity are understood for how they enrich the lives of all residents, enhance the livability of our communities, and contribute to the state’s economic vitality.

Goals

• Arts Education – conduct workshops, mentorships, professional development opportunities, regional and statewide convenings, and funding for contemporary and traditional artists, non-profit and cultural organizations, and public institutions. In addition, increasing arts education and arts integration into the curriculum of Nevada’s Pre-K-12 schools and promoting lifelong learning through use of arts and creativity in the social development, health, and healing for all Nevada citizens.
• Economic Vitality – addressing Nevadans access to arts and creativity through the recovery and sustainability of artists and arts organizations by creating funding opportunities, promoting cultural tourism, collaborating with government and business, improving creative infrastructure, developing financial viable creative districts, and supporting cultural awareness, understanding, and preservation.
• Healthy Communities – collaborating with partners to increase the understanding, use, and financial support of arts and creativity to aid in the healing, wellbeing, quality of life initiatives, and aging of Nevada’s residents.

Arts Learning Project Grants

The Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Arts Learning Project Grant (ALP) is a grant designed to support arts learning programming, teaching artists residencies, and teacher/teaching artists training. These arts learning activities provide unique opportunities for students and people of all ages to work with practicing artists. Funds must be used for conducting group lessons/workshops (in-person or online/virtual) and/or educational performances at schools or community facilities. Funds may be used to support the execution of one activity/project or a series of related activities. Some components of the project, including planning, may occur outside of the FY26 grant cycle (July 1, 2025-June 30, 2026), however, the portion(s) of the project being paid for with ALP grant funds must occur completely within the grant cycle.

The In-N-Out Burger Foundation’s mission is to assist children and youth who have been victims of child abuse and neglect, and to prevent others from suffering a similar fate. The Foundation will only consider requests from organizations that closely align with our mission and that serve communities where In-N-Out Burger does business.

The In-N-Out Burger Foundation is happy to consider the following types of grants:

Traditional Grants: Grant awards range from $5,000 - $25,000.

Program: Restricted funding to support the development, expansion, or enhancement of programs within an existing organization.

General Operating Support: Unrestricted funding to support the overall operations and sustainability of your nonprofit. Applicants must present a strong case on how this funding will help sustain the organization’s mission and provide benefits to the children in their care. *Please note that all of your organization’s programs must align with our mission to be considered for this type of support.

Capital Grants: Grant awards range from $5,000 - $50,000.

Capital Campaign: Restricted funding for the construction of new facilities, renovations or upgrades to existing buildings, and other special projects that will enhance the organization’s mission.

Capital Purchase: Restricted funding to purchase equipment, furnishings, or any other major material purchases that will enhance the organization’s mission.

Capital grants are awarded on a very limited basis each year. The Foundation will only consider requests from organizations that meet all other funding criteria and who already have an established long-term funding relationship with the Foundation (minimum of 2 years).

About Nourishing Neighbors

Albertsons Companies Foundation's Nourishing Neighbors program is dedicated to fighting food insecurity and ensuring that at-risk children, adults, seniors, and families have access to the food they need to succeed. The program supports various initiatives, including providing nutritious breakfasts for children, holiday dinners, and school pantries. Since inception in 2014, Nourishing Neighbors raised and donated over $300 million, enabling more than 1 billion meals to be donated to communities, including those affected by disasters. The program also focuses on long-term solutions to hunger, such as connecting people to federal meal programs like SNAP and WIC. Through these efforts, we aim to create sustainable and lasting change in the fight against hunger.

We have set a bold new goal: to enable 1.5 billion meals and invest $10 million annually to break the cycle of hunger by 2030.

Nourishing Neighbor O Organics Fight Hunger Serve Hope Grant

This grant is generously funded by O Organics, part of Albertsons Companies’ Own Brands portfolio, to support organizations that are actively working to reduce food insecurity for low-income individuals, including children, families, women, and seniors.

In particular, we are seeking proposals for programs that increase access to meals and/or boost participation in federal nutrition programs, such as school meals, Summer EBT etc.

Funding will support programs including, but not limited to:

• Summer Meals: Providing free, nutritious meals and snacks to children and teens 18 and under during the summer months.
• After School Meals: Ensuring children receive free, nutrition meals during the school year, after regular school hours.
• Capacity Building: Training, technical assistance, and outreach to help organizations start or expand meal programs.
• Connecting People to Summer EBT: Programs that help eligible families access and use Summer EBT, conduct outreach, and assist with enrollment.
• Food Distribution: Support programs that help provide food to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

The funding period is one year from the date funds are received.

YES (Youth Engaged in Service) Fund

The purpose of the YES fund is to support young people interested in community service.

The YES Fund was created by the Washoe County Commission to award youth ages 5-24 for science and STEM projects that serve our community. Awards of $500 to $2,500 are possible through the YES Fund. Group or individual applications will be accepted.

Grants may fund service projects that benefit the communities in Washoe County and may include funding for expenses such as websites, publications, and materials.

Background

As a catalyst for positive change, the Elevance Health Foundation drives innovative and scalable solutions to address physical, behavioral, and social needs through a multi-lever approach to community investment.

Over the next five years, we will continue to support meaningful Food as Medicine interventions that enhance the quality and accessibility of nutritious foods across the country. We invite qualified nonprofits with a history of successful community initiatives to join us in this mission.

The Foundation will prioritize funding for programs that improve clinical health outcomes for individuals with diet-related conditions and that increase access to nutritious foods for populations experiencing food/ nutrition insecurity.
