DeKalb County Dental Society Fund

This Fund provides scholarship support for high school seniors from a DeKalb County high school determined by DeKalb County Dental Society.

Oneita J. Waltenberger Scholarship Fund

Established in 2015, this scholarship provides support to current or former residents of DeKalb County, IL, who are pursuing undergraduate or post-graduate education in the healthcare field. Current high school students, including high school seniors, do not qualify.

GFO-25-607 - Clean Transportation Program Hydrogen Infrastructure Project Opportunity (HIPO)

The purpose of this solicitation is to fund the deployment of hydrogen refueling infrastructure for light-, medium-, and/or heavy-duty on-road fuel cell electric vehicles.

This is a competitive grant solicitation. The California Energy Commission’s (CEC’s) Clean Transportation Program announces the availability of up to $45 million in grant funds for projects that will fund the deployment of hydrogen refueling infrastructure for light-, medium-, and/or heavy-duty on-road fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs). 

Of the $45 million, up to $21.2 million is dedicated to light-duty hydrogen refueling infrastructure and up to $23.8 million is dedicated to light-, medium-, and/or heavy-duty hydrogen refueling infrastructure.  

The solicitation objectives are to:

• Deploy new hydrogen refueling infrastructure for light-duty (LD) vehicles, with an emphasis on stations located in Santa Monica/West Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sacramento, and San Diego to alleviate market stress due to station demand, as well as medium-duty (MD) vehicles, or for heavy-duty (HD) uses including drayage, transit, and port operations. New hydrogen refueling infrastructure can also be a combination of the infrastructure types (mixed-use) listed above.
• Reopen temporarily non-operational (TNO) stations that would otherwise not return to open retail status.
• Provide additional funding for stations awarded under CEC Grant Funding Opportunity (GFO)-19-602 which are fully permitted and lacking capital to finish construction.
• Provide operations and maintenance (O&M) funding for the projects listed above once the station becomes open retail.

The NIH Specialized Center Grant (Parent P50) aims to support multidisciplinary research programs with a specific scientific theme. Applicants must include an administrative core, research projects, and at least one resource core, demonstrating collaborative impact and synergy. This funding opportunity encourages innovative approaches to address major scientific objectives, fostering long-term research initiatives aligned with the NIH's mission. There is a high demand for Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Sharon Bradley Johnson and Carl Johnson, retired CMU professors who live in our community, are passionate about this work. They established a scholarship for students entering the Board Certified Behavior Analyst field of study and are helping educate youth in our area about this career path.

The Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Scholarship, administered by the Delaware Community Foundation, offers a one-time award of $500 to graduating high school seniors residing in specific Delaware zip codes. Applicants must demonstrate good academic performance and financial need. This scholarship is part of a broader initiative where DCF awarded $850,000 to 245 students for the 2024-2025 school year, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and equity within the community.

The Generation III Scholarship, offered by the Delaware Community Foundation, provides a one-time award of $1,000 to Delaware residents graduating from high school or current post-secondary students. Jeffrey A. Trail Memorial Fund

Created in memory of Lt. Jeffrey A. Trail in honor of his military service and accomplishments, this Fund offers scholarships to DeKalb County residents who are graduating seniors and continuing their education immediately following high school graduation at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university studying aviation technology (a.k.a. professional flight or similar degree) for pilot training only; or at an independent certified flight training program working toward flight/pilot certifications.

The Leadership through Scholarship Fellowship is a yearlong program designed for early-career and mid-career faculty to enhance their scholarly writing and leadership skills. Participants will receive mentorship and training to develop personalized career roadmaps, navigate challenges, and create impactful research questions. The fellowship, costing $1200, also offers limited scholarships thanks to generous donations. It equips fellows with vital skills for academic advancement, promoting their potential for leadership roles in their institutions.

Award 

The Glenn D. Peters Law School Scholarship is awarded to students who will be enrolled in law school for the upcoming Fall semester.

Scholarships are available for tuition costs at an accredited law school located anywhere in the United States of America. While financial need can be a factor, greater weight is assigned to academic achievement and involvement in quality extracurricular activities.
