James & Bernice Braxton Music & Elementary Education Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Thomas Braxton and his sister Ruby Braxton in memory of their parents, James and Bernice Braxton. James and Bernice were educators in the Lubbock ISD for almost 30 years. This scholarship is open to graduating seniors of a Lubbock County high school and plans to major in Music or Elementary Education at a Texas college or University.

The purpose of this program is to provide Education Service Centers (ESC) with funding to support the effective delivery of the Texas Mathematics Academies during the pilot school year 2026–2027. The program aims to strengthen implementation through pilot support and statewide coordination of math initiatives by each regional ESC, ensuring systematic and explicit mathematics instruction. Each ESC will be required to designate a Texas Mathematics Academies Facilitator to lead coordination and implementation efforts. The goal is to offer School Systems direct support tailored to their specific implementation needs.

SparkForce: The FMA Foundation

Formerly known as Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs (or NBT), SparkForce is the charitable foundation of the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association. While our name has changed, our mission has not. The Texas Education Agency administers these funds to enhance educational opportunities, promoting personal growth and success in various technical fields.

The Tommy Tranchin Award, established by The Dallas Foundation, aims to support North Texas students in grades 8-12 with physical, emotional, or intellectual disabilities. This award encourages creative projects, performances, and skill-building activities, rather than funding college expenses. By honoring Tommy’s adventurous spirit, the award seeks to empower young individuals to explore their talents and pursue new opportunities. Applicants may also seek funding for travel and related expenses, fostering personal growth and exploration.

The Sunstate Equipment Foundation Grants support local charities focused on disadvantaged individuals, medical aid, housing assistance, domestic violence awareness, military and veterans' assistance, and care for abused animals. Founded in 2015, the foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that matches employee contributions dollar for dollar, reinforcing its commitment to community support and engagement. Charities in good standing can apply once every 12 months, fostering impactful initiatives where Sunstate operates.

Rural Nursing Recruitment & Retention Program (RNRR) (TX)

The Rural Nursing Recruitment & Retention Program (RNRR) supports qualified rural health care facilities. The RNRR Program aims to provide eligible rural Texas healthcare facilities with funds to incentivize nurses to work, or continue to work, in their facility by providing a stipend assistance program.

An awarded facility shall provide stipend assistance to a selected nurse who is currently employed, or will be employed, by the facility and who agrees to work full-time for a minimum of 36 consecutive months.

The Exhibitions Abroad Support Grant Program, initiated by the Japan Foundation in New York, offers financial aid to U.S. museums and art institutions organizing exhibitions that showcase Japanese art and culture internationally.
