Description of the program

Crime victim services are crucial, life-saving resources for victims and a key element of public safety. The Office of Justice Programs’ Crime Victim Services Grants Unit distributes approximately $60 million in state and federal funds annually to 170 agencies throughout Minnesota to provide direct advocacy services to victims of crime. Federal funding in the program includes Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and Family Violence Prevention and Service Act (FVPSA).

Request for proposals (RFP)

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit applications for funding to provide direct services to crime victims in Minnesota. Funded grantees are expected to be a resource in their community and provide crime victim services as detailed in the Program Standards under which they are funded.

The Watershed Council Grant Program, managed by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), invites proposals from watershed-based organizations to enhance organizational administration, conservation, and educational initiatives. With a total funding of $600,000 available, individual grants are capped at $40,000 for a 12-month period. Projects should focus on capacity building, water quality improvement, and community engagement to foster sustainable water resource management.

The North Carolina Land and Water Fund (NCLWF) has been a cornerstone in conserving the state's natural resources since 1996, protecting over half a million acres and 3,000 miles of waterways. Family (Parent/Caregiver) Peer Support Development and Program Maintenance Notice of Funding Opportunity FY 2027: Request for Proposals

The Parent/Caregiver Peer Support Program will need to be developed and maintained by the selected agency in alignment with national best practices and standards and approved by the MS Department of Mental Health.

(Certified) Peer Support Specialist Professional- Parent/Caregiver is a biological parent, adoptive parent, or relative caregiver with permanent legal custody who is raising or has raised a child with an emotional, social, behavioral, and /or substance use disability. The Specialist Professional provides support and guidance to parents/caregivers in navigating the child serving systems and advocating with them to help their child/youth.

The North Coast Seafood Extension Fellowship, funded by California Sea Grant, aims to enhance seafood marketing and production opportunities in California's rural North Coast region. The fellowship will support collaboration among local partners to improve seafood availability and sales, strengthen marketing efforts, and develop infrastructure. Consumer Education Program

This funding is to provide state-wide evidence-based support and educational programs free of charge to those living with mental illness, their caregivers, and their family members.

Educational programs are to include but are not limited to:

The Family-to-Family Education Program is a free, 12-class course for family caregivers of individuals with severe mental illnesses. The course is taught by trained family members and provides current information on major mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and others; information about medications; strategies for handling crises and relapse; and most of all, how to cope successfully with a major challenge in your life, which will in turn allow you to best support your mentally ill loved one to work toward recovery.

In Our Own Voice (IOOV) unmasks mental illness using speaker stories to illustrate the individual realities of living with mental illness. Participants gain a better understanding of what it is like to live with mental illness and stay in recovery. In Our Own Voice can change attitudes, preconceived notions and stereotypes regarding mental illness.

Peer-to-Peer is a recovery-focused educational program for adults who wish to establish and maintain wellness in response to mental health challenges. The course provides critical information and strategies related to living with mental illness.

The Provider Education program helps people who work with individuals living with mental illness understand the experience of mental illness from individual and family perspectives. Through exposure to personal stories, participants may gain tools that increase their empathy and professional skills thereby improving patient care.

The PositiveNRG Grant Program, led by NRG Energy, focuses on investing in communities through choice and education, community engagement, resilience, sustainability, and well-being. The program is open to non-profit organizations and governmental entities that can demonstrate a meaningful impact. Preference is given to initiatives that foster community involvement and inclusiveness. However, sponsorships for religious or political activities are generally not supported. This program aims to empower communities through innovative energy solutions.

The Competitive Grant - Sunbury Fund, established by the Community Giving Foundation, aims to address various charitable needs in the Sunbury area. Since 2005, it has focused on health-related goals, encouraging nonprofit and governmental organizations to apply for funding. Eligible projects include those targeting children's health, early childhood development, oral health, issues affecting the working poor, and coronary care. All funds must be used within the Sunbury Hospital service area, ensuring local impact.

The Leslie Brown Memorial Grant offers up to $5,000 in financial assistance aimed at promoting research and sharing knowledge about African birds of prey. This grant honors Leslie Brown, a renowned raptor conservation biologist, and aims to support projects that directly involve the primary author in research relevant to African raptors. It also waives page charges for publication in the Journal of Raptor Research, ensuring that awardees can disseminate their findings effectively.

The Lead Service Line Inventory Grant Program offers funding to local government units for creating a comprehensive lead service line inventory as mandated by Illinois law. Eligible applicants can receive between $20,000 and $50,000, with applications reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted. Additional financial support may be sought through low-interest loans for line replacements. Reporting requirements include quarterly updates and annual financial evaluations, ensuring transparency and accountability in project progress.

Crown Automotive Charities/Hawkins Family Foundation Grant

The Crown Automotive Charities/Hawkins Family Foundation supports a wide range of non-profit initiatives, including healthcare, animal welfare, education, veterans' services, the arts, community and economic development, housing, and special needs. The Foundation primarily funds organizations in the communities where they operate: Chattanooga, Tennessee, Dublin/Columbus, Ohio, and the Tampa Bay area in Florida.

After an application is submitted, the review process usually takes four to six weeks. However, depending on the specifics of the request or if additional information is needed, the process may take longer.

There are two types of Applications: Grants; and Sponsorships.

Sponsorship Application

This is for requesting support for fundraising events or initiatives that include public visibility, recognition, or promotional opportunities (e.g., galas, golf tournaments, charity walks, benefit dinners). Sponsorships are typically event-based and may include logo placement or other marketing benefits.

The Ocean Acidification, Hypoxia, and Harmful Algal Bloom Solicitation aims to enhance scientific understanding of critical water quality issues affecting California's coastal ecosystems. It provides funding for two tracks: understanding the biological impacts of ocean acidification and hypoxia, and researching harmful algal blooms for early warning and ecosystem resilience. This initiative is part of California Climate Investments, addressing growing environmental threats to coastal communities.

The Aquatic Weed Control Program in North Carolina aims to assist local governments and residents in managing noxious aquatic weed infestations. By promoting education and partnerships, the program seeks to mitigate economic and environmental impacts from these invasive species. It offers resources for both public and private lands, including technical assistance and financial support for effective management strategies. Through these efforts, the program strives to enhance the health of North Carolina's waterways.

The Municipal Sewer Connections Grants, offered by the Montana Department of Natural Resources & Conservation, aim to protect water resources by funding projects that facilitate the transition from individual septic systems to municipal sewer connections. This program, which operates on a first-come, first-served basis, is designed to alleviate the financial burden of such transitions for homeowners, thereby promoting improved water quality and sustainability in Montana.
