This is a four-year scholarship reserved for Cherokee Nation citizens residing within the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional area, with preference given to students from Washington or Mayes County seeking to be a first-generation undergraduate student.

The Tommy Aaron/Charlie Aaron Foundation Scholarship, managed by the North Georgia Community Foundation, supports graduating seniors from Hall County or Gainesville City public schools and Lakeview Academy. Levi Otis Teague, Hazel L. Teague, & Jo Ann Teague Memorial Scholarship

Applicant must be a Cherokee Nation citizen and have completed high school courses at any of the Oklahoma School of Science and Math (OSSM) centers in the Cherokee Nation. Applicant must have 60 credit hours, maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and live in the Cherokee Nation jurisdictional area. Preference given to those who have a plan on giving back to the citizens of the Cherokee Nation.

Scholarship amounts vary depending on the scholarship applied for. Applicants are encouraged to apply for as many awards as they are eligible to increase the likelihood of receiving one or more awards.

Scholarships can be used for cost of attendance, direct education expenses, including tuition, books, and/or other school-related fees.

Bob Suddeth 4-H Scholarship Fund

The Bob Suddeth 4-H Scholarship supports DeKalb County graduating seniors who have been active in 4-H for at least six years, including their senior year of high school, and who plan to pursue agriculture-related education. Financial need is an important consideration, and students may attend any accredited trade school, college, or university.

Created in memory of Lt. Jeffrey A. Trail in honor of his military service and accomplishments, this Fund offers scholarships to DeKalb County residents who are graduating seniors and continuing their education immediately following high school graduation at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university studying aviation technology (a.k.a. professional flight or similar degree) for pilot training only; or at an independent certified flight training program working toward flight/pilot certifications.
