Jack C. Wells Scholarship for Harnett County

Mary Ferebee Howard Scholarship Fund for Undergraduate Study

Applicants will be judged on character, well-roundedness, and potential for future achievement. 

Depending on the scholarship, it may pay for tuition, room and board, books, fees and/or other related educational expenses. This will be outlined in your award notification. The minimum scholarship award amount is $1,000.

Ralph Edwin and Ruby Irene Holloman Davis Scholarship Endowment

Applicants are graduating seniors from high schools in Johnston County who are continuing their education at a college, university, community or junior college, technical school, nursing school, or other post-high school training leading to a degree or associate degree, with preference to those who have financial need.

American Physical Society

The American Physical Society is a nonprofit membership organization working to advance physics by fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and global community dedicated to science and society. APS represents more than 50,000 members, including physicists in academia, national laboratories, and industry in the United States and around the world.

APS Honors recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of the global physics community. Guided by our core values, APS Honors encourages nominations that reflect the full range of talent, distinction, and experience in our field, and supports broad canvassing for professional achievement across diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and expertise.

Edward A. Bouchet Award

This award promotes the participation of underrepresented minorities in physics by identifying and recognizing a distinguished minority physicist who has made significant contributions to physics research and the advancement of underrepresented minority scientists. The program will help publicize the lecturer's work and career development to the physics community, especially among minority physics students. The Lectureship consists of a stipend of $5,000 plus support for travel to an APS meeting where the recipient will receive the award and give a presentation. In addition, the lecturer should arrange to give up to three additional talks at academic institutions where the impact of the visit on minority students would be significant. The purpose of these visits would be to deliver technical lectures or lectures about his/her specialty, to visit classrooms when appropriate, to assist the college/university in pre-college outreach efforts where appropriate, and to talk informally with both faculty and students about research and teaching careers in physics. Financial support will also be provided for travel to these lectures. It will be presented annually.

Hermann K. Brauer Memorial Scholarship Fund

Students must be preparing for a professional career in medicine, dentistry, nursing, engineering or other science, teaching or law. The scholarship will not be used for career preparation in veterinary medicine, funeral direction, mortuary science, or in the ministry. The student must demonstrate clear financial need. To maintain the scholarship, the student must remain in good academic standing as defined by the college or university and have no failing subject. The student must demonstrate clear financial need. The Derek Jeter Scholarship-Turn 2 Education Fund, established in 1997 by Turn 2, provides scholarship support for graduating high school seniors who demonstrate leadership in their community while promoting abstinence from drugs and alcohol. Scholarships

Tulsa Community Foundation maintains more than forty scholarship funds, assisting students locally and nationally. The diversity of eligibility criteria for each fund reflects the variety of donor motivations to create or support scholarship funds.

Annually, TCF distributes funds to assist hundreds of students with educational expenses at colleges, universities, vocational-technical schools, and primary and secondary schools.

Invited Scholars Fund

The Invited Scholars Award supports students enrolled in undergraduate, trade or vocational programs at U.S. institutions. 

Weber Specialties Company Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Weber Specialties Company located in Schoolcraft, Michigan to support students pursuing a certificate or two-year or four-year degree in a manufacturing curriculum.

The family of Edmond B. Woodruff and Beth Woodruff Shipman established this scholarship in 1982 in their memory.

This scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to students pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering who exhibit the following characteristics for which “Shep” is so fondly remembered: a relentless curiosity, a spirit of collaboration, a drive for innovation, and a commitment to learning, creating and growing alongside others. Additional application materials are required for this scholarship.

Wright Coating Company Scholarship

Wright Coating Company established this scholarship fund in 1991 for the purpose of providing financial assistance to college‑bound youth residing on the north side of Kalamazoo.

Women's Education Coalition Grant

This multiyear grant helps women who are unemployed or struggling to support themselves and their families. This scholarship supports tuition, college expenses, and helps build a better future for you and your family. 

This education grant was established by a coalition of four member organizations: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, YWCA Kalamazoo and the former Kalamazoo Network.

Texas Foundations Fund: Annual Grant

Through the Texas Foundations Fund, TSAHC partners with nonprofit organizations across Texas to support housing programs that assist very low income households. To date TSAHC has invested more than $11 million to support the following:

• Home repairs and accessibility modifications in owner-occupied homes
• Supportive housing services, such as case management, mental health counseling and housing and financial counseling, proven to help households maintain their housing stability.

Ann N. MacGregor Scholarship

This fund was established in 2007, through a gift from the estate of Ann N. MacGregor, to provide scholarship assistance for incoming freshmen, undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in a visual arts curriculum. Demonstrating financial need is not required, but preferred. Additional application materials are required for this scholarship.

The Washington County Community Foundation is an affiliate of the Greater Salina Community Foundation which manages scholarships for itself and other affiliate foundations.

M.C. Hess and Margaret Hess Boyle Educational Fund for Washington County Scholarship

For graduates or students in good standing qualifying for graduation from Washington County, Kansas. Preference shall be given to applicants from Mahaska, Haddam, and Morrowville areas, but it is not a requirement.

Texas Nurse-Family Partnership (TNFP) Program

The purpose of this grant is to partner with community-based organizations and local agencies across the state to provide Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) home visiting services.

The purpose of TNFP program is to improve maternal and child health, child development, and family economic self-sufficiency Outcomes for participating families. 

This funding opportunity invites grant Applications requesting funding for TNFP program. The purpose of the TNFP program is to provide nurse home visiting services to expectant parents in communities across Texas to improve maternal and child health, child development, and family economic self-sufficiency Outcomes for participating families. Using the Nurse-Family Partnership model, the TNFP program works with expectant parents, beginning in early pregnancy and continuing through the child’s second birthday. Nurse home visitors provide parent education and support services to participating families through regular home visits addressing behavioral health, caregiver mental health, early care, safety, and overall well-being.

Families benefit from improved pregnancy Outcomes, improved infant and child health, and increased economic self-sufficiency, with Outcomes including reduced child maltreatment, fewer emergency room visits, healthy developmental indicators, and greater opportunity for parents to complete their education or find or maintain employment.

The TNFP program is entirely voluntary and free-of-charge to enrolled families.

The total amount of federal and State funding available for the TNFP grant program is $134,480,753.00 for the entire Project Period. It is System Agency's intention to make multiple awards to Applicants that successfully demonstrate the ability to provide NurseFamily Partnership programming in the State of Texas.

HHSC estimates the total amount of funding for the TNFP program is $17,930,767.00 per State fiscal year. Annual awards per individual Grant Agreement typically range between $500,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. HHSC estimates the value of the RFA based on the stated annual amount multiplied by five (5) years, plus an additional 50% to allow for any potential increases in funding during the Project Period.

Applicants are strongly cautioned to only apply for the amount of grant funding they can responsibly expend during the Project Period to avoid lapsed funding at the end of the Grant Term. Successful Applications may not be funded to the full extent of Applicants’ Requested Budgets in order to ensure grant funds are available for the broadest possible array of communities and programs.

Thriving Texas Families

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), the System Agency, is accepting Applications for Small Service Providers in the Thriving Texas Families (TTF) program.

The purpose of this program is to promote childbirth and pregnancy and support families by operating a statewide support network that provides community outreach, consultation, and care coordination for women with an unexpected pregnancy, in accordance with Texas Health and Safety Code Chapter 54.

The total amount of state funding available for the Thriving Texas Families Small Service Providers grant program is $25,000,000 for the entire Project Period. It is the System Agency's intention to make multiple awards to Applicants that successfully demonstrate the ability to promote childbirth and pregnancy and support families by providing community outreach, consultation, and care coordination for women with an unexpected pregnancy.

Applicants are strongly cautioned to only apply for the amount of grant funding they can responsibly expend during the Project Period to avoid lapsed funding at the end of the grant term. Successful Applications may not be funded to the full extent of Applicant’s requested Budgets in order to ensure grant funds are available for the broadest possible array of communities and programs.

Women’s Preventive Mobile Health Units Expansion Grant (TX)

Women's Preventative Mobile Health Units (MHUs) Expansion will maintain existing MHUs and expand the number of MHUs prioritizing rural areas including unserved and underserved regions of the state. The purpose of this funding is to provide operational support for new service delivery sites to improve the health of low-income women in underserved communities by expanding access to preventive health care and support services.

This funding opportunity invites grant Applications requesting funding for the Women’s Preventive M H U Expansion. The purpose of this program is to provide operational support for new service delivery sites to improve the health of low-income women in underserved communities by expanding access to preventive health care and support services, including navigation to already-established women’s health programs Healthy Texas Women (HTW) program, Family Planning Program (FPP), Breast and Cervical Cancer Services (BCCS) program, Primary Health Care (PHC) program, and Title V Maternal and Child Health Feefor-Service (TV MCH FFS).

MHUs include, but are not limited to, vans, recreational vehicles, and other vehicles that have been repurposed to provide space for clinical services. As a self-contained unit, MHUs can deliver services in geographically isolated areas or small towns that may lack access to healthcare providers. MHUs can also partner with brick-and- mortar clinics to connect vulnerable populations with current health care providers.

The program is designed to expand service capacity to areas of the State where women’s preventive healthcare services are not readily available. MHUs are expected to either quickly link underserved women to existing women’s health programs, offer continued Telehealth Services, or consistently operate in areas of the State to provide preventive healthcare services to women who have limited means of accessing this care.

Family Support Services (TX)

The purpose of the CYD program is to assist communities in alleviating conditions in the family and community that lead to juvenile crime. The CYD program is a community based program that provides services to youth and their families by promoting positive experiences, relationships, and environments. Through the promotion and implementation of PYD, youth are engaged in productive and constructive environments that address youth development, build positive and healthy relationships with peers and adults, and provide opportunities for engagement in school and community. The CYD program aims to improve the development and well-being of youth, promote healthy and safe families and communities, increase protective factors for youth, reduce involvement with the criminal justice system, reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect, and promote workforce readiness.

The CYD program is entirely voluntary and free-of-charge to enrolled Participants. 

HHSC estimates the total amount of funding for the CYD grant program is $9,957,043.00 per State fiscal year. Annual awards per individual Grant Agreement typically range between $400,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. HHSC estimates the value of the RFA based on the stated annual amount multiplied by five (5) years, plus an additional 25% to allow for increases in funding during the Project Period.

Applicants are strongly cautioned to only apply for the amount of grant funding they can responsibly expend during the Project Period to avoid lapsed funding at the end of the Grant Term. Successful Applications may not be funded to the full extent of Applicants’ Requested Budgets in order to ensure grant funds are available for the broadest possible array of communities and programs.

Nutrition Incentive Program (TX)

This funding opportunity invites Grant Applications requesting funding for the NIP Project. The purpose of this program is to provide NIP Project services. NIPs are designed to increase the purchase of fruits and vegetables by low-income households participating in the SNAP by providing an Incentive for the purchase of fruits and vegetables at the point of sale to a household buying food with SNAP benefits. NIPs improve access to fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables for Texas families, create more business for Texas farmers and Retailers, and boost local economies. 

HHSC will look solely to the Grantee for the performance of all Grantee obligations and requirements in a Grant Agreement resulting from this RFA. Grantee shall not be relieved of its obligations for any nonperformance by its subgrantees or subcontractors, if any.

The total amount of State funding available for the NIP Project grant is $6,000,000.00 for the entire Project Period. The NIP Project(s) must be completed no later than August 31, 2027. It is HHSC’s intention to make multiple awards to Applicants that successfully demonstrate that they currently implement a NIP that qualifies for federal funds under Section 4205, Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (7 U.S.C. Section 7517).

Applicants are strongly cautioned to only apply for the amount of grant funding they can responsibly expend during the Project Period to avoid lapsed funding at the end of the Grant Term. Successful Applications may not be funded to the full extent of Applicant’s requested Budgets in order to ensure grant funds are available for the broadest possible array of communities and programs. Reimbursement will only be made for actual, allowable, and allocable expenses that occur within the Project Period. No spending or costs incurred prior to the effective date of the award will be eligible for reimbursement.
