The scholarship provides financial assistance to a student pursuing a B.S. or A.D. in Nursing at a Franklin County, Ohio college or school of nursing.

Howard T. Short and Burdette Augsburger Scholarship Fund of the Legacy Fund

The fund was established to benefit gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students pursuing post-secondary education at a central Ohio college or university or Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio.

Matthew T. Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund

The family of Matthew T. Williams created the scholarship to honor Matthew T. Williams. First Lieutenant Matthew T. Williams graduated from Minerva High School (Ohio) and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. First in his class, Matt earned the John Levitow Award, the highest honor bestowed during Airman Leadership School. Matt completed his Associates of Applied Science in Electronic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. After acceptance to the Airman Education and Commissioning Program in 1999, he attended and graduated from The Ohio State University (OSU) summa cum laude and received the 2001-2002 Everett Student of the Year Award from the OSU Electrical Engineering Department. While at OSU, Matt was diagnosed with cancer, and he passed away in 2006.

Lisa La Londe-Cox Memorial Scholarship

Dr. Bernard and Mrs. Barbara La Londe of Dublin established this fund in memory of their daughter Lisa La Londe-Cox who passed away in 2001 at the age of 41. Ms. Lisa La Londe-Cox was a medical social worker and mother of three children.

Ian Adams Van Heyde Memorial Culinary Scholarship at Columbus State Community College

Ian was the first ever high school student to work on the line at a Cameron Mitchell Restaurant – Martini’s. This work experience, together with the encouragement given to Ian to pursue his culinary dream, had a profound positive influence on Ian. This scholarship is awarded each year by Ian’s parents (a.) to show their appreciation for the opportunity and support given to their son by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, and (b.) to recognize the contributions of Cameron Mitchell to the Columbus community in general, and to the restaurant industry in particular.

Sector Building Grants

Sector Building Grants partner with community organizations to build the overall capacity of the sector.

The Sector Building grant program launched in 2022 as part of a commitment to build the capacity of the nonprofit sector to serve the community. Sector Building grants support programming that builds and sustains the infrastructure of the nonprofit sector.

The Sector Building grant program seeks to fill this area of need by providing funding to programs or organizations that support the administrative needs of three or more nonprofits, which may or may not include the applicant. These grants typically range from $50,000 to $150,000.

Digital Access Grants

Support for programming designed to offer training or technical support, or expanding the affordability and accessibility of digital technology and the internet to individuals and communities with limited access.

Not everyone has the same level of access to reliable internet service, or the devices and skills needed for work, commerce, education, healthcare, transportation, and civic engagement.

In response to the urgent technology needs of nonprofits and the communities they serve, The Central Ohio Digital Access Fund was established in July 2020. A group of local partners and institutions works on internet affordability, access to devices, and programs across the community that offer training and technical skill building for life and careers in the twenty-first century. 

Columbus and Franklin County Federation of Women's Clubs Fund-Education

The purpose of the Columbus and Franklin County Federation of Women’s Club Scholarship Fund shall be to make scholarship awards available for the benefit of women attending Otterbein University as full-time students in the field of education.

Summer Fellowship Program Nonprofit Application

The Summer Fellowship Program helps build the organizational capacity of Franklin County nonprofits by facilitating a powerful partnership between the nonprofits and students interested in the nonprofit sector.

The Summer Fellowship Program engages young leaders in the sector through career-related work with selected nonprofit host sites for a 10-week period. Fellows receive valuable experience through their work and immersion with the host sites, and the nonprofits benefit from the increased capacity Fellows provide through the completion of, or progress made towards, a specific program or objective. Inspire the next generation of nonprofit leaders by hosting a Summer Fellow at your nonprofit!

Program Details

• The 10-week fellowship for 2026 starts June 1 and ends August 7.
• Nonprofits must have a specific project or program to assign to the Fellow with specific objectives that will be completed during the 10-week period.
• Organizations selected will receive a grant to cover a stipend for the Fellow.
• All Fellows are required to work full-time as designated by their host organization.
• Fellows are matched with nonprofits based on interests, skills, and the nonprofit’s specific needs or objectives.

The GCAC General Support Grant provides essential funding to small to mid-sized arts organizations in Columbus, focusing on those with a strong public engagement and professional artist involvement. Eligible organizations must have a three-year history, a budget under $500,000, and a commitment to public activities. This grant fosters artistic creativity and community participation, ensuring that arts remain accessible and vibrant in the region.

The Aminah Robinson Fellowship, offered by the Greater Columbus Arts Council in partnership with the Columbus Museum of Art, provides a 90-day fellowship and an unrestricted $15,000 award to a professional African American visual artist residing in Franklin County. This initiative supports the artist's creative process and encourages community engagement through outreach opportunities. Applicants must identify as African American, be 18 or older, and produce work that reflects cultural storytelling and heritage.

The Aminah Robinson Writer/Scholar/Researcher Residency, supported by the Greater Columbus Arts Council, offers a unique opportunity for U.S.-based African American writers, scholars, or researchers. This residency, honoring the legacy of the late artist Aminah Robinson, provides a $15,000 cash award, lodging, and studio access in her Columbus home. Residents will engage with the local arts community and have the time and space to focus on their creative projects, fostering cultural expression and artistic growth.

Honda’s Community Event Sponsorship aims to support local, regional, and national events that enhance community engagement and celebrate diverse cultures. Organizations must be U.S.-based and tax-exempt, focusing on projects that serve communities where Honda associates are active. Eligible events include parades, festivals, and educational initiatives. Honda evaluates requests based on community needs and available funding, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility and community enhancement.

The PLTW Launch program, supported by Burns and McDonnell, aims to enhance student engagement in STEM education within eligible communities. This initiative will provide grants to schools that implement at least one PLTW Launch module in the 2025-2026 academic year, followed by another module in subsequent years. The program is designed to empower students with hands-on learning experiences that connect real-world challenges to essential skills, fostering a stronger future in STEM fields.

McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital

Community Grants

The McCullough-Hyde Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the Community Granting Program, as part of the expanded philanthropic mission of the Foundation. It is anticipated that more than $200,000 in funding will be available annually through this grant-making program.

The Community Granting Program is a philanthropic program that makes investments that address significant health needs of local communities. The Foundation will partner with and provide funding to local organizations that are leading the way to build healthier communities.

The McCullough-Hyde Foundation invites proposals from organizations for programs and projects that focus on education, prevention programs, awareness efforts, wellness opportunities and direct care in the following areas:

Programs and projects that prevent, manage, and reduce the burden of chronic conditions including, but not limited to, heart disease, hypertension, stroke, and diabetes. Eligible initiatives may focus on education, early detection, care coordination, wellness promotion, and access to treatment and support services.

Programs and projects that promote and sustain healthy lifestyle choices, including, but not limited to, physical activity, nutrition, tobacco cessation, and preventive care. Eligible initiatives should be community-centered and designed to empower individuals and families to take control of their health through activities, education, engagement, and improved access to wellness opportunities that support active living, particularly among youth and families.

Programs and projects that improve access to and quality of mental health and substance use services, reduce stigma, and promote emotional well-being across all age groups. Eligible initiatives may include, but are not limited to, prevention, early intervention, treatment, recovery support, education, and outreach related to conditions including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, and addiction.

Programs and projects that address the underlying social and economic conditions influencing health outcomes, including, but not limited to, access to healthcare, food, housing, transportation, education and employment. Eligible initiatives should aim to reduce barriers to health and wellness by improving the environments where people live, work, and play.

This scholarship is awarded to a graduating high school senior who is a current employee of a McDonald’s restaurant located in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Scholarship funds at TCF annually provide approximately $20 million in educational aid for students at institutions of higher learning. Each donor or group of donors determines the conditions for which the scholarships are awarded. The diversity of eligibility criteria reflects the variety of donor motivations to create or support scholarship funds.

Pat R. Gereau R.N. Scholarship

Available to students who are in an undergraduate program of study and pursuing a career in nursing at an accredited U.S. college, university, technical program or trade school in Tulsa, Oklahoma area.

EEF Undergraduate College Scholarship

These scholarships are awarded to college students to support their programs in environmentally-related fields of study. Prior EEF HS winners are encouraged to apply for continued financial support.

The EEF Undergraduate College scholarship award can be as much as $4,000 for a student's sophomore, junior, or senior year. The Foundation generally awards four Undergraduate College Scholarships each year.​ These scholarships were established to benefit students from the Geneva Lake area.

The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin gives everyone the opportunity to make significant and lasting gifts to their community.

We manage over 320 funds that enhance Portage and Waushara counties. Together with our generous donors, we create a strong culture of philanthropy in Central Wisconsin.

We are a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) public charity founded in 1982 to provide scholarships and grants to organizations and projects that improve the quality of life in Portage and Waushara counties.

James & Lynne Johnson Family Scholarship

This opportunity was established in 2014 in honor of Major Brands’ third-generation leader, Todd H. Epsten, who lost his brave battle with brain cancer in 2012. The scholarship provides aid to several students each year, whose academic efforts and community involvement reflect Todd’s commitment to “building our business by building the communities we serve.” Students must be a current full-time employee or spouse/domestic partner, child or grandchild of a current full-time employee of Clever Little Girl, LLC; Clever Little Girl Foundation; or Eagle Brands Sales who will be or are attending a community college, professional program, undergraduate, graduate, or postgraduate program at an accredited college.

The Peoples Security Bank and Trust Company Scholarship Award consists of ten $1,000 scholarships awarded annually to graduating high school seniors who are customers of Peoples Security Bank and Trust Company, or who have a parent or guardian who is a customer, and who plan to pursue postsecondary education.
