Ralph R. Morris Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Ralph R. Morris Memorial Scholarship Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to support the pursuit of post-secondary education for music students at Bethlehem Area School District in Bethlehem, PA.

Vocational Education Merit Award Fund

The Vocational Education Merit Scholarship was created to provide scholarships to two graduating high school seniors who have excelled academically and is a nomination based award.

The Paul J. Baum Fund Scholarship, established by The Pittsburgh Foundation, supports college and graduate students pursuing degrees in Music. As one of the oldest community foundations in the U.S., The Pittsburgh Foundation has been dedicated to improving quality of life since 1945. The Mary Agnes Powers Scholarship Fund, established by the Pittsburgh Foundation, supports nursing students from several Pennsylvania counties. This scholarship honors Mary Agnes Powers and is awarded based on academic merit, financial need, and enrollment in nursing programs. Eligible candidates must reside in designated counties, maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and be entering their final year of nursing education. The scholarship aims to empower local students in their pursuit of nursing careers.

The Ocean Acidification, Hypoxia, and Harmful Algal Bloom Solicitation aims to enhance scientific understanding of critical water quality issues affecting California's coastal ecosystems. It provides funding for two tracks: understanding the biological impacts of ocean acidification and hypoxia, and researching harmful algal blooms for early warning and ecosystem resilience. This initiative is part of California Climate Investments, addressing growing environmental threats to coastal communities.

The Allegheny County Airport Authority Charitable Foundation Scholarship Fund, established by The Pittsburgh Foundation, supports students pursuing careers in aviation. Eligible applicants must reside in specific Pennsylvania counties, demonstrate financial need, and maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0. Preference is given to military veterans. This initiative reflects the Foundation's commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and fostering community engagement within the aviation sector.

The Orthopedic Research Grant, offered by the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research, supports early-career investigators in physical therapy and rehabilitation science. The grant funds innovative, hypothesis-driven projects that enhance evidence-based practices and patient outcomes. Through this initiative, the Foundation aims to develop independent researchers and strengthen the scientific foundation of the physical therapy profession. The Mission of the Environmental Education Foundation is to award educational scholarships and grants to area students and schools for environmental-centered studies and to promote environmental awareness to all ages of the Geneva Lake area.

Thomas E. Reynolds (TER) Foundation Scholarship

The scholarship was established to support the college education of students who are pursing a career goal related to the conservation or protection of the environment.​ Financial need will be considered if all other criteria are met.

Annual renewal requires that the student stay in touch with the EEF, provide term grade point averages, any change in his/her college program or professional goals, and maintain a 3.0 grade point average while actively working toward an appropriate degree.

The EEF High School Graduate Scholarship, offered by the Environmental Education Foundation, supports students from the Geneva Lake area pursuing environmentally-focused college degrees. Applicants must demonstrate a passion for conservation, have a solid high school record, and plan to attend an accredited four-year college. Financial need is considered alongside the fulfillment of other criteria. This scholarship encourages students to continue seeking additional funding for their education.

Edward P. Boland Scholarship Fund

Edward P. Boland served as the representative to the United States Congress for 36 years. His public service spanned 54 years of dedication to the people of western Massachusetts. He was the first chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and a longtime member of the Appropriations Committee overseeing departments such as HUD, NASA, Veterans, NSA and many other federal departments. Education was his top priority and upon retirement this scholarship fund was created to assist the students of western Massachusetts

Rotary Club of San Diego Diana Venable Scholarship

Diana Venable was a successful San Diego entrepreneur who spent much of her adult life devoted to helping financially disadvantaged children and young adults achieve a sense of respect, responsibility, and academic achievement in order to overcome the repeated cycle of poverty. As a member of the Rotary Club of San Diego, Ms. Venable exemplified the Rotary Motto of “Service Above Self” by contributing her time, financial resources, leadership, and enthusiasm to the cause of helping others experience the fulfillment of a more rewarding life through personal and educational achievement. This Scholarship Fund is dedicated to carrying on a small portion of the legacy of Ms. Venable, who, unfortunately, died at an early age.

The purpose of the Diana Venable Scholarship Fund is to enable low to moderate-income students who have a record of academic achievement and personal growth, along with leadership potential for both professional careers and civic contributions, to attend a college program. The primary focus will be on students who have ties to Rotary School Programs at Hoover, San Diego High and Monarch or students who have past Rotary ties through the Club’s other school programs or Club members at large. Recipients will be chosen during the second semester of their junior year and must meet rigorous standards in their senior year including: academic performance, personal growth through extracurricular, community service, and other activities, financial need, a high degree of motivation, and excellent communication skills. Recipients are also expected to actively pursue other sources of financial aid. The Diana Venable Scholarship committee will select one recipient to receive $20,000 over 4-5 years.

This scholarship may be used for tuition, books, fees, room & board, and other educational expenses.

This scholarship may be renewable (depending upon available funds) for up to five consecutive years of undergraduate coursework provided the recipient maintains full-time enrollment, a minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, and good citizenship record.

The John C. Berray Foundation - Celebrating a Passion Scholarship

The John C. Berray Foundation - Celebrating a Passion Scholarship applicants should:

• Have resided in San Diego County for at least one year
• Be graduating high school seniors from Grossmont Union High School District
• Plan to enroll in an accredited community college, four-year university or trade/vocational school in the United States in fall
• Have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale

Community Scholarship Program

Since 1997, the Community Scholarship Program has awarded $59.5 million to more than 15,400 students, making our program the largest non-university scholarship provider in San Diego County. By offering financial assistance, the program helps students dedicate more time to their studies, stay enrolled and complete their degrees.

The Larry Waters Scholarship

The Larry Waters Scholarship applicants should:

• Have resided in San Diego County for at least one year
• Be graduating high school seniors from Kearny High, Eastlake High, and Southwest High schools who plan to enroll full-time in a four-year university, or community college with the intent to transfer to a four-year university, anywhere in the U.S.
• Have a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
• Have a demonstrated financial need
