MATHCOUNTS Grant

Program Description

The purpose of the MATHCOUNTS grant is to provide financial support to the Texas Engineering Foundation (TEF) in its efforts to sponsor and lead the Texas MATHCOUNTS program. MATHCOUNTS provides mathematics programs and state-of-the-art supplemental math instructional materials to build math skills, promote critical thinking and problem solving, and heighten interest of middle-school students in mathematics. Through the MATHCOUNTS Competition Program, students take part in individual and team competitions. Competitions begin at the local level with the opportunity for winners to move on to compete at regional and national levels.

Unified Champion Schools Grant

Program Description

The Unified Champion Schools grant provides funding to support statewide Unified Sports, comprehensive early child development to adult transition programs with data-based health, social, leadership, transition, and athletic programs for students with intellectual disabilities.

The intent of the grant program is to expand the reach of the Special Olympics Unified Champions project. This project uses sports as a catalyst for social inclusion that extends beyond the playing field and into classrooms and communities to promote long-term success of students with intellectual disabilities.

The Texas Unified Champion Schools (UCS) program emphasizes three core components: Inclusive Youth Leadership, Unified Sports & Activities, and Whole School Engagement. Authentic social inclusion is the overall project goal. With awarded funds, the grantee will expand the number of campuses that are able to participate in the program.

Instructional Materials: Tucker's Law Grant

Program Description

The Instructional Materials: Tucker’s Law Grant represents the commitment to increasing fentanyl abuse prevention and drug poisoning awareness in school systems through the creation and dissemination of evidence-based instructional materials. As established in Texas Education Code (TEC) §38.040 school systems are to annually provide to students in grades 6–12 research-based instruction on fentanyl abuse prevention and drug poisoning awareness.

The Community Foundation of Wabash County offers a wide variety of post-secondary education scholarships to traditional, non-traditional, and graduate students. With nearly 70 different scholarship endowments created through the generosity of our donors, many students are eligible to apply.  

Beryl M. Klare Scholarship Endowment

Beryl Klare created a scholarship for residents of the City of Wabash, Indiana, who are accepted into and attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution, including career training and academic degrees. Having no children of her own, she used her will to fulfill her wishes to financially assist students who want to obtain a higher education, including academic degrees and vocational training. When she passed away in 1968, her scholarship became a reality.

RLA Blended Pilot Grant

The project is funded to establish an eligible vendor list of digital Tier 1 augmentation tool(s) aligned to the Texas Bluebonnet RLA curriculum for grades K through 5 for effective statewide administration of all components. This will ensure that all digital instructional tools meet TEA’s standards for alignment with the Bluebonnet RLA curriculum, demonstrate evidence of effectiveness, and adhere to data security and instructional quality requirements.

Program Description

The Rural Pathway Excellence Partnership (R-PEP) program is designed to expand rural students’ access to high-quality college and career pathways through structured, multi-district partnerships. The program supports regional collaboration among eligible school systems, coordinating entities, and postsecondary or workforce partners to design, implement, and sustain aligned pathways that respond to regional needs and support successful student transitions beyond high school and to promote long-term capacity, accountability, and outcomes.

The Rural Pathway Excellence Partnership (R-PEP) funding uses a tiered approach: Tier 1 - Planning Grants and Tier 2 - Expansion Grants.

Tier 1 - Planning Grants

Tier 1 applications will consist of Planning Grants and will be funded first, subject to the availability of funds. 

Deliverable 1: Labor Market Alignment & Program Design

Grantees will produce a comprehensive set of planning artifacts demonstrating strong alignment between regional workforce demand and proposed R-PEP program design.

Deliverable 2: Operational Readiness and Organizational Capacity

Grantees will demonstrate readiness to launch an R-PEP through defined organizational structures and operational planning.

Deliverable 3: Application, Budget, Governance, and Technical Assistance

Grantees will submit a complete and accurate New R‑PEP application, including sufficient documentation and attachments to demonstrate readiness for future designation.

Pipeline to Leadership (P2L) Cohort 2 Continuation Grant

Program Description

The primary purpose of the Pipeline to Leadership (P2L) Continuation Grant is to maximize the impact of highly effective teachers in reaching as many students as possible by developing strategic staffing models. Through this grant, school system leaders, including principals, recruit and select highly effective teachers to serve in leadership roles alongside campus and district instructional leaders. Through high-quality, job-embedded professional learning, these teacher leaders develop skills in key instructional leadership practices that help drive peer, beginning, and aspiring teachers’ instructional learning and growth. When highly effective teachers step into these leadership roles, school leaders distribute instructional leadership responsibilities, ensuring all teachers, across years of experience and effectiveness levels, receive differentiated and job-embedded supports to maximize their impact on student learning.

Global Health

Lilly Foundation, through its charitable grants, aims to support permissible charitable efforts to improve access to quality healthcare for resource-limited communities in low- and lower-middleincome countries (L/LMICs) and in the United States. Strengthening access to care is essential for enhancing community well-being and supporting economic stability in resource-limited settings.

The Global Health focus area aims to close gaps in quality healthcare by supporting charitable solutions that improve access, bring care closer to where people live, and address the high burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in resource-limited settings. To the extent permissible, the Foundation prioritizes charitable efforts related to cardiometabolic health in resource-limited settings.

K-12 STEM Education

The K-12 STEM Education focus area aims to close the gaps for students from low-income communities by supporting programs that foster new pathways and pipelines to STEM education through focused K-12 efforts, concentrating on the critical middle school years. The Foundation’s K-12 STEM Education grants are focused on initiatives that benefit Marion County, Indiana.

Economic Mobility

The Economic Mobility focus area supports charitable and educational programs that strengthen workforce readiness, postsecondary and skills-based educational pathways, and housing stability to promote long-term prosperity. This support is focused on Marion County, Indiana, with the goal of improving economic opportunity for low-income communities and advancing community well-being.

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is the environmental agency for the state. We have approximately 2,800 employees, located in our central office in Austin and 16 regional offices around Texas. The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality strives to protect our state's public health and natural resources consistent with sustainable economic development. Our goal is clean air, clean water, and the safe management of waste.

All-Electric Program

Grants for repowering or replacing eligible vehicles and equipment with all-electric models, along with supporting infrastructure. A program of the Texas Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Program (TxVEMP).

TSBVI ECC Evaluation

The purpose of this project is to support the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI) in developing a set of guidelines for each of the areas of the expanded core curriculum (ECC), as well as developing a valid and reliable assessment tool, based on those guidelines, that professionals in the field can use to make determinations about a student’s skills in each area. After guidelines and the assessment tool are established, TSBVI will develop high-quality aligned instructional materials to support instruction of ECC skills for all students who are blind, deafblind, or have low vision, including those with complex access needs, across grade levels.

Going back to the days of the Republic, there has always been an official library and archives of Texas. While fulfilling our unique and longstanding place serving Texas government, the State Library and Archives Commission mission is also to ensure that citizens have information they need to lead informed, productive, and fulfilled lives.

Texas Reads Grant

Goals and Purposes

This grant program funds public library programs to promote reading and literacy within local communities. Programs may be targeted to the entire community or to a segment of the community.

Programs focusing on community engagement or involving collaboration with other community organizations are strongly encouraged. The agency may designate specific funding priorities for each grant cycle in response to identified needs. If this occurs, staff will provide details of funding priorities and scoring implications to applicants and to the peer review panel.

TSLAC Special Projects Grant

Goals and Purposes

This grant program provides funds for efforts that will significantly expand library services to include all members of the library’s community, particularly community members who experience barriers when accessing the library and its resources. It enables libraries to develop programs for populations with special needs or those having difficulty using the library. Programs that focus on community engagement or that involve collaboration with other community organizations are strongly encouraged. Programs must emphasize improved services by the library to its patrons.

The proposed program must meet the following LSTA goals as identified in the 2023-2027 LSTA 5- Year Plan (https://www.tsl.texas.gov/ld/pubs/lstaplan/5yearplan):

Goals

• Through Texas libraries, Texans will have access to digital resources and services needed to help them navigate the digital information landscape successfully.
• Texans will have access to library materials and services that support literacy and educational attainment, especially early childhood and family literacy, workforce readiness, and lifelong learning.
• Texans will receive library services from trained library staff that effectively respond to community needs.

The purpose of this grant program is not for collection development or other activities primarily focused on the acquisition of library materials or resources, or digitization projects.

State of Texas Office of the Governor

The governor of Texas is the head of state and head of government of the U.S. state of Texas. The governor is the head of the executive branch of the government of Texas and is the commander-in-chief of the Texas Military Forces. Unlike governors in many other states, the Texas governor operates within a plural executive system, which distributes executive authority among several independently elected officials and limits centralized executive power.

Established in the Constitution of Texas, the governor's responsibilities include ensuring the enforcement of state laws, the power to either approve or veto bills passed by the Texas Legislature, overseeing state agencies, issuing executive orders, proposing and overseeing the state budget, and making key appointments to state offices.

General Victim Assistance Grant Program

Purpose

The purpose of this program is to provide services and assistance directly to victims of crime to speed their recovery and aid them through the criminal justice process.

Services may include the following:

Responding to the emotional and physical needs of crime victims;

• Assisting victims in stabilizing their lives after a victimization;
• Assisting victims to understand and participate in the criminal justice system; and
• Providing victims with safety and security.

This solicitation is for programs seeking to provide general victim services to broad categories of victim populations that may include victims of commercial sexual exploitation or trafficking, including emergency and long-term residential (shelter) for children and transition-age youth as well as drop-in centers.

Texas Health and Human Services

Texas Health and Human Services, also known as the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), helps more than 7.5 million Texans every month. The agency supports the needs of mothers, children and families through programs such as Medicaid, CHIP, SNAP, women’s health and behavioral health services.

HHSC provides long-term services and supports for seniors and people with disabilities, and operates state supported living centers for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities and state psychiatric hospitals. HHSC also regulates health care providers, professions and facilities to protect the health and safety of Texans.

Pediatric Tele-Connectivity Resource Program for Rural Texas

Executive Summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), the System Agency, is accepting applications for the State Fiscal Year 2026 Pediatric Tele-Connectivity Resource Program for Rural Texas Grant Program. The purpose of this program is to connect Rural Hospitals (RHs) and Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) with (i) pediatric specialists and pediatric subspecialists who provide Telemedicine Medical Services (TMS) or (ii) an institution of higher education that is a member of the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium established under Chapter 113 of the Texas Health and Safety Code.
