Search Through Small Grants for Nonprofits in New Jersey

The Achelis and Bodman Foundation, established in 2015, focuses on grantmaking in New York City and northern New Jersey, addressing critical issues in six program areas: Arts and Culture, Education, Employment, Health, Public Policy, and Youth and Families. The Region Grants Open Grant Round: Community Vitality, supported by Land O'Lakes Foundation, aims to enhance the vibrancy of dairy communities in the East and West Regions. With a total investment of $500,000 annually, grants ranging from $1,000 to $20,000 are available for organizations focused on rural development, education, and community resources. Eligible applicants must have a 501c3 status and serve specific geographic areas, ensuring support reaches those in need.

The Jewish Women's Foundation of New Jersey invites organizations to apply for the Fall Grant - Impact Grants Cycle, aimed at supporting projects that empower women and girls in New Jersey. Grants of up to $5,000 are available for initiatives demonstrating significant impact, urgency, or covering specific expenses. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations or have a fiscal agent with this status, focusing on the unique needs of their communities. Applications are due by September 3, 2025.

The program aims to support nonprofits in achieving their service goals and enhancing community welfare. Applications must be submitted 90 days prior to events, and funding requests can be made once a year.

The TJX Foundation Grants support nonprofit organizations located within 15 miles of a TJX store that align with their community mission. Eligible areas include basic needs, education for at-risk youth, workforce training, and safety from domestic violence. Organizations must be a registered 501(c)(3) for at least 12 months and have a nondiscrimination policy. Applications are invited through a Letter of Inquiry, with funding decisions based on community impact.

The Dr. Scholl Foundation offers grants annually to IRS 501(c)(3) organizations, primarily focusing on U.S. applicants. The foundation supports projects in education, social services, healthcare, civic and cultural initiatives, and environmental efforts. While the grant cycle runs from October 1 to March 1, it encourages innovative solutions to global challenges. Only one application per organization is accepted each year, and funding is limited to one year. Unqualified organizations, including political entities, are ineligible.

The CFNJ: Rose Anthony Howard and Elizabeth V. Brinley Next Generation Grant focuses on empowering small to midsize nonprofits in New Jersey that provide essential services to children. It aims to uplift underserved youth through educational programs, mentorship, and recreational opportunities. The grant supports initiatives that promote equity and community-driven solutions, with awards ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 for impactful projects that address the needs of historically underserved communities.

Prudential Community Grant

We are pleased to share grant opportunities for area nonprofit organizations.

Administered in collaboration with CFNJ, this program offers microgrants to local organizations, small businesses, and individuals for projects that create vibrancy in Newark neighborhoods.

These grants also empower residents and local changemakers, who typically lack access to financial resources, to make changes they want to see. 

Grant amount: Up to $2,500 for individuals and up to $5,000 for nonprofit organizations (or those with a fiscal sponsor)
