The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation Grant aims to support charitable organizations that meet established philanthropic guidelines, primarily in the greater Houston area. Since its inception in 1980, the foundation has awarded over $4.3 million to various local charities, focusing on early childhood education and development. Funding is raised through events like the Kappa Holiday Pilgrimage Home Tour and Luncheon. Grants are awarded in the spring of odd-numbered years, ensuring substantial impact on the community.

Evergy’s Hometown Grant Program 

Awarded annually, this grant program provides up to $10,000 for basic needs initiatives. 

Projects must be basic needs focused for food security, housing, hygiene and bill payments. Health focused projects are not eligible. Projects should be for expanding capacity or special projects that are outside of normal operations.  

The Feasibility Clinical Trials of Mind and Body Interventions (R34) program seeks to support trials focused on complementary health approaches for conditions identified as high-priority by NCCIH. This funding opportunity aims to gather essential data necessary for planning future clinical efficacy studies. Applicants must demonstrate the feasibility of interventions and their potential impact on public health. Contacting NCCIH scientific contacts before submission is encouraged, and a Plan for Enhancing Diverse Perspectives is required.

The Rebecca & Charles Davis Scholarship, offered by the Elk Grove Regional Scholarship Foundation, is aimed at supporting students interested in pursuing education or teaching careers from preschool through 12th grade. Eligible candidates must be full-time students at designated Elk Grove high schools and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. Preference is given to those demonstrating financial need, and active participation in school and community activities is required. Scholarships are funded by community donations.

The NCCIH Multi-Site Feasibility Clinical Trials of Mind and Body Interventions (R01) invites applications for clinical trials focusing on complementary and integrative health approaches. This funding opportunity emphasizes the importance of multisite feasibility trials to gather essential data for planning future efficacy studies. Deadlines for standard and AIDS-related applications range from February 2024 to November 2026, underscoring the urgency for innovative research in high-priority areas.

The EWVCF Human Welfare Grant supports nonprofit organizations in Jefferson, Berkeley, and Morgan counties, West Virginia, providing essential assistance to vulnerable populations. Established by the Eastern West Virginia Community Foundation in 1995, this grant aims to uplift sick, needy, and disadvantaged individuals by funding programs that promote equity and inclusion. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations, public schools, and civic groups, fostering a diverse range of community-focused initiatives.

Tree Planting Grants, formerly known as Arbor Day Grants, provide funding for communities to purchase and plant trees in celebration of Arbor Day. Eligible applicants include city and county governments, Native American tribes, and non-profit organizations. Grants of $350 are available for all communities, while Tree City USA communities can receive $850. Applications are accepted on a first-come basis until funds are depleted, with a signed Arbor Day Proclamation required.

Dominic and Jessie Vitulli Scholarship

The Dominic and Jessie Vitulli Scholarship Fund supports graduates of Northshore School District, who are enrolled full time in the undergraduate programs of the University of Washington. The intent of the scholarship is to encourage and assist students who demonstrate financial need, the potential to succeed, motivation, and overall “well-roundedness.” Academic achievement is not a primary consideration in awarding the Dominic and Jessie Vitulli Scholarship. This scholarship will be renewable for up to three additional years if pursing a Bachelors degree.

Doug Struthers Memorial Scholarship

Doug Struthers taught at Alexander Graham Bell Elementary in the Lake Washington School District for more than two decades. His hard work, commitment and perseverance made a difference in the school and the community. This scholarship fund was created in his memory to help young people learn skills to serve their communities. Four Lake Washington School District students every year are chosen to receive this $5,000 renewable scholarship.

The Conservation Education Grant supports educational programs in forestry and natural resources for pre-K to 12th-grade students and their educators. It aims to enhance youth engagement in nature education and improve the capabilities of forestry professionals and volunteers. Applications emphasize outdoor activities and professional development, with awards capped at $3,000, requiring project completion within a year. Though no match is mandatory, a 25% contribution is encouraged to strengthen funding applications.

The Library Grant Cycle, supported by the Bernard Carl and Shirley Rosen Library Fund, aims to enhance youth access to local libraries in Cayuga, Cortland, Seneca, Tioga, and Tompkins counties. This initiative promotes intellectual curiosity and a lifelong love for reading and learning. Eligible applicants include the 33 public libraries within these regions, fostering community engagement and educational growth through increased library accessibility.

Anne D. Maloof Scholarship

This is a one-time scholarship for $3,000 to honor and financially assist graduate, professional or undergraduate students in Island, Kitsap, Jefferson, and Thurston counties.

The Delta Dental of Wisconsin Foundation aims to enhance oral health access for underserved communities through funding programs, scholarships, and community events. With a focus on at-risk populations and a commitment to improving overall dental health, the foundation supports eligible organizations such as nonprofits and government agencies. Grants are limited to one per year per program, ensuring targeted and effective use of resources to make a measurable impact in Wisconsin.

The Foundation for Developmental Disabilities (FDD) offers program grants to nonprofit organizations in San Diego and Imperial Counties, focusing on innovative projects that enhance the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs). Grants range from $500 to $20,000, supporting areas such as employment, family support, housing, and self-advocacy. The FDD aims to provide equitable access to opportunities that maximize the potential of IDD individuals and their families.

Gerald C. Bulkeley Scholarship Fund 

The Gerald C. Bulkeley Scholarship Fund was established by his family to honor his legacy of service to the Abingdon community. A graduate of Abingdon High School, Mr. Bulkeley was dedicated to supporting young people through civic and educational leadership.

This scholarship is available for students attending school in District 276 and residing within the boundaries of former District 217. The student will receive the scholarship award each year for four years.

The John & Sandy Goldwater State Challenge Grant, offered by Kids’ Chance of America, aims to provide scholarships for children of workers injured on the job. This initiative focuses on increasing scholarship funds, expanding the number of awards, and enhancing the average scholarship value. States selected for funding must submit progress reports and participate in a longitudinal impact study by 2028, ensuring accountability and positive outcomes for the children supported.

The Kids’ Chance of America: Emergency Grant Program aims to provide essential support to state organizations facing unexpected challenges in funding scholarships for children of injured workers. This initiative ensures that these children can continue their education despite unforeseen financial hardships. Grants can be utilized for scholarships, room, board, and educational fees, emphasizing the importance of maintaining educational support for deserving students during the 2023-2024 academic year.
