By 2030, they intend to assist 1 million youth through inclusive educational opportunities. Schools within 40 miles of John Deere facilities can apply for grants to implement PLTW Gateway units, promoting real-world skill development. The Oscar & Rosetta Fish Fund, established by a dedicated couple from Hawaii, supports students pursuing higher education in Business Administration. Eligible applicants must reside in Hawaii, demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and attend any University of Hawaii campus except Manoa. Preference is given to previous recipients who continue to meet these criteria and maintain good academic standing. This fund aims to empower young individuals and foster academic success.

The Philip & Louise Wang Scholarship Fund, established by the Hawai‘i Community Foundation in 2022, aims to support U.S. residents who demonstrate financial need, academic merit, and good character while attending accredited post-high school institutions. Eligible applicants must be Hawaii residents maintaining a minimum GPA of 2.0. The Rural Summer Legal Corps (RSLC) addresses the legal service gap in rural U.S. communities by placing law students in civil legal aid organizations. This initiative, in partnership with Equal Justice Works and the Legal Services Corporation, allows 50 Student Fellows to engage in impactful projects, such as disaster response and housing issues, while gaining practical experience over eight to ten weeks. Incyte Corporation offers an Independent Medical Education Grant to support innovative educational initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes. This funding is available to organizations committed to delivering evidence-based education to healthcare professionals. Eligible activities may include live symposia, grand rounds, fellowships, and web-based programs. Organizations must enter into a written agreement with Incyte to receive funding. Note that new request submissions will be temporarily unavailable from November 21, 2025, to January 2026.

The Nathalie Y. Lee Scholarship Fund, established in 2022, provides financial support to students pursuing higher education in Hawaii. Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and be residents of Hawaii. Preference is given to full-time students of Chinese ancestry, first-generation college attendees, and those who have been involved in the foster care system. Previous recipients may reapply if they continue to meet eligibility requirements.

The Enbridge Safe Community First Responder Program is designed to support emergency response organizations across Canada and the U.S. by providing grants for safety equipment, training, and educational programs. Launched in 2002, it has invested over $22 million in enhancing community safety. Eligible organizations include fire departments and medical services located near Enbridge operations. Grants typically range from $1,000 to $10,000, helping improve the capabilities of first responders in rural and underserved areas.

Registered Apprenticeship Incentive

The Registered Apprenticeship Incentive is designed to offset the extraordinary costs of utilizing a Registered Apprenticeship training program.

A maximum of $1,000 per apprentice, per year for the duration of the apprenticeship, is available to offset the extraordinary costs of utilizing a registered apprenticeship training program.

An employer may not be allocated more than $10,000 per year under this program.

The Berks County Veterans Treatment Court Fund, managed by the Berks County Community Foundation, provides essential financial support to participants in the Veterans Court. This fund covers expenses not addressed by other resources, ensuring that veterans receive the assistance they need. The program brings together a collaborative team, including judges, attorneys, and treatment providers, to support veterans in their recovery and reintegration into the community.

The AK Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, managed by the Alaska Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, provides essential funding for mitigation projects aimed at reducing disaster risks. State, local, tribal, and territorial governments can apply for financial assistance to implement strategies that enhance community resilience against future disasters. Applicants must submit a Notice of Interest and have a FEMA-approved mitigation plan for eligibility. Key deadlines for submissions span from May 2025 to February 2026.

The Murco Foundation Grants, managed by the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, focus on advancing education and the arts within the greater Wausau area and Marathon County. Established in 1992, the Foundation evaluates grant applications annually, prioritizing support for nonprofit organizations. However, they do not fund annual campaigns, operating expenses, or lobbying efforts. The grants aim to foster community enrichment and support for 501(C)(3) organizations.

The Historic Cemetery Preservation Capital Grant Program, initiated by the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation in Washington State, aims to protect and maintain historic cemeteries. This program, established in 2016, provides funding for projects that enhance the preservation of these cultural resources, ensuring they continue to serve their communities and honor the veterans interred within. Collaborating with various partners, the program promotes the significance of historical heritage in the state.

Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation

The Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation is Washington State's primary agency with knowledge and expertise in historic preservation. We advocate for the preservation of Washington's irreplaceable historic and cultural resources - significant buildings, structures, sites, objects and districts - as assets for the future. 

Courthouse Preservation Grant Program

In spring of 2005, the Washington State Legislature established the Historic County Courthouse Rehabilitation Grant program. Based on findings from a statewide survey undertaken in 2003, 33 of the state’s 39 counties were found to possess courthouses of historic and architectural merit. (With the passage of time, additional courthouses have become historic, increasing the total number of eligible courthouses to 35) Additionally, the study estimated over $90 million in needed capital improvements to these structures. To address this need, the Washington State Legislature has allocated nearly $31.4 million from the state capital budget since the 2005-07 biennium. Through thirteen funding rounds since the program’s establishment, eighty-eight (88) grants have been awarded to twenty-nine counties statewide. Grant funds have worked to leverage local funding resulting in nearly $75 million in total rehabilitation work to selected courthouses.

Grant funding assists county governments in rehabilitating their historic county courthouses. Together with matching funds raised locally, this money will foster economic development in numerous communities while working to preserve public buildings vital to the architectural and cultural heritage of Washington.

To receive funding, all rehabilitation work must meet historic preservation standards known as the U.S. Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. For more information about these preservation standards, visit the following website.

The Albert Flegenheimer Memorial Scholarship, established by Michigan Sugar Company in 1974, honors a dedicated leader and supports high school seniors completing a Youth Sugarbeet Project with a $2,500 award. Additionally, the Next Generation Scholarship, initiated in 2013, provides a $1,000 award to the runner-up, reinforcing Michigan Sugar Company’s commitment to nurturing future sugarbeet growers. This scholarship program emphasizes community involvement and encourages local youth to pursue agricultural opportunities.

The Central District Scholarship, funded by Michigan Sugar Company, awards up to two $1,000 scholarships annually to deserving high school seniors or college first-year students. Eligible applicants must reside in the Central District and have completed a Michigan Sugar Youth Sugarbeet Project. This initiative reflects Michigan Sugar's commitment to fostering education and community involvement, ensuring that local youth have the support they need to succeed in their academic pursuits.

About the Fund

Robert P. Koch achieved greatness throughout his lifetime. Bob often said, “Know what you are and know what you’re not”. He was respected by all who knew him in his private life as well as in his professional life in law enforcement and as an attorney. To honor his memory, his widow Jean B. Gutkin established a scholarship fund in his name.

Robert Glen Stern Scholarship Fund

About the Fund

The Robert Glen Stern Scholarship Fund was established in 2007 by Annette and Harold P. Stern, along with Steven B. Stern and Eric K. Stern, in memory of their beloved son and brother.

Born in New York City and raised in Westchester County, Robert graduated from Harrison High School and attended college in Massachusetts. He was known for his happy disposition, hearty laugh and deep sensitivity toward others. A lover of music and poetry, Robert cared deeply for his family and his fellow man.

The scholarship supports outstanding graduating seniors from Palm Beach County who demonstrate financial need, dedication to education and active participation in extracurricular activities, continuing Robert’s spirit of kindness, passion and commitment to others.

EPSCoR RII Research Fellows Limited Competition

EPSCoR RII: EPSCoR Research Fellows directly aligns with the NSF EPSCoR strategic goal of establishing sustainable Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) professional development pathways that advance workforce development and effects engagement in STEM at national and global levels. EPSCoR RII: EPSCoR Research Fellows provides awards to build research capacity in institutions and transform the career trajectories of investigators and further develop their individual research potential through collaborations with investigators from the nation's premier private, governmental, or academic research institutions and/or centers. The fellowship provides opportunities to establish strong collaborations through extended or periodic collaborative visits to a selected host site. Through collaborative research activities with the host site, Fellows will be able to learn new techniques, develop new collaborations, advance existing partnerships, benefit from access to unique equipment and facilities, and/or shift their research toward potentially transformative new directions. The experiences gained through the fellowships are intended to have lasting impacts that will enhance the Fellows' research trajectories well beyond the award period. The benefits to the Fellows are also expected to improve the research capacity of their institutions and jurisdictions more broadly.

The Transformational Partnerships Fund offers Seed Grants of up to $10,000 to colleges and universities exploring student-centered partnerships. These grants help defray costs associated with events that build consensus among leadership to pursue transformative collaborations. Prioritization is given to institutions serving diverse student populations and those that can demonstrate the potential for significant impact on student outcomes. This initiative focuses on fostering innovative partnerships that enhance institutional effectiveness and student success.

Rear Admiral Philip A. Whitacre Scholarship Fund

Scholarship Eligibility

• Limited to PBC residents under 25 years old for undergrad.
• Strong evidence of community service.
• Scholarship will cover educational expenses including tuition and books but excluding living and transportation expenses.
• Not for Tech or Trade schools.
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Preference giving to applicants who have served or parents have served in the Navy with honorable discharge.
• Must be willing to speak as a volunteer (at least 10 hours) at one of the following: Planned Parenthood PBC, Max Planck, PB Opera, PB Fellowship of Christians and Jews, Historical Society of PBC, PBC Chamber of Commerce, or PB Rotary.

The Opioid Settlement Funds (OSF) Round 2 aims to support the prevention, early intervention, harm reduction, and treatment of opioid-related issues in Santa Cruz County. With a total funding of $810,000 available, nonprofit organizations providing services within the county are invited to apply. This initiative emphasizes collaboration and accountability, as prior awardees can apply for continued support only after fully expending their Round 1 funds. The program focuses on enhancing community health and recovery.
