Research Project Development Teams (PDTS): Project Revision (external resubmissions)

Research Project Development Teams (PDTs) are groups of experienced senior faculty located on each of the Indiana CTSI campuses who will connect you with resources, collaboration opportunities, and small (typically up to $15,000) awards for preliminary or additional data. Each PDT is designed around a common research theme.

There are biostatisticians and regulatory experts on each team, and other experts are added, as needed, to the team when your application is discussed. You will have access to the expertise and knowledge you need all in one place.

The PDT application process is contingent on the stage of the project. You have selected the application process for pilot funding from the PDTs for an external resubmission. The Color the Curb: School Safety Program invites District-based artists to create large-scale murals at intersections near three DC Public Schools in Washington, DC. Funded by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities in collaboration with local government and education departments, this initiative encourages community engagement and artistic expression while enhancing school safety. Artists must meet specific eligibility criteria, including residency and previous funding history, to apply for this grant aimed at fostering youth engagement through art.

Armour Community Foundation

We are one of 90 Community Savings Accounts in South Dakota. Even though we are an agent of the South Dakota Community Foundation, we are able to accept and administer charitable gifts, give good grants to our local nonprofit groups and organizations, and also give scholarships to hopeful young people from our region. Our volunteer advisory council works hard to ensure funds are going to groups and organizations that need it most. Community Investment Grant

With thanks to our members, we award $300,000 in grants annually to deserving organizations.

Our Community Investment Program provides grants to local non-profit organizations twice per year. An employee committee reviews all applications and then makes recommendations to our Board of Directors who approves grant recipients.

Purpose

The Bullis Fund was created from the estate of Jeanette ‘Nettie’ Bullis, an astute businesswoman whose family settled in Macedon in the late 1830s. Grants from income generated by the endowment fund are recommended by a committee of Wayne County representatives to reflect Miss Bullis’ interest in improving the quality of life of residents of Wayne County, especially in the Town of Macedon or within the area served by the Palmyra-Macedon Central School District. Miss Bullis believed strongly in providing a “hand up” not a “hand out.” Therefore, most grants require a matching component.

Funding Criteria

All criteria must be met for a request to be considered. Applications must:

• Show how the project/program provides direct or indirect benefit to residents of southwest Wayne County;
• Indicate how the project/program makes southwest Wayne County significantly better and/or how it has significant community-wide impact;
• Indicate matching or leveraged support from other constituencies.
• Provide evidence of ongoing stability and financial sustainability for the funded projects. How projects will be funded in the future is a key consideration.

Organizations are urged to participate in one of a variety of programs through Causewave Community Partners. These programs are designed to help nonprofit organizations grow their impact and could include: communications, strategic planning, board development, and fundraising support.

These grants enable organizations to stabilize and adapt, ensuring they continue to meet pressing community needs. The Honoring the Best in the Construction Community initiative celebrates outstanding individuals in the construction field, such as Craft Instructor of the Year, who exemplify creativity and dedication to education. Award recipients gain national recognition and a $10,000 cash prize, promoting construction as a rewarding career while emphasizing safety and lifelong learning. Tyndall Community Foundation Grant

The sole purpose of the Tyndall Community Foundation is to support the general welfare of the Tyndall community.

To date, the Tyndall Community Foundation has given back nearly $70,000 in grants to nonprofit groups and organizations in Tyndall.

Qualification

• Purpose of the project should fulfill a community need. (for example: is your project going to benefit the community in general)
• IRS now requires a non-profit organization be verified by the IRS. Proof of non-profit status may be required upon request. Governmental entities (cities, counties, schools) and churches are exempt from the verification requirements and do qualify to receive grant funding.

Discrimination

Applications from agencies offering services exclusively to one gender, age, group or race will be closely scrutinized for discriminatory practices.

Fund Distribution

• Grant applications must be completed in full.
• Grants will be reviewed and awarded at the discretion of the Tyndall Community Foundation Board.
• All applicants will be informed verbally and /or in writing to the approval or disapproval of their application.
• Funds must be used within 12 months from awarding or funds will revert back to the community funds account.

Limitations

• Tyndall Community Foundation will grant no more than a maximum of 4.5% of Fund’s Value in any single year.
• Recipients may be eligible for one grant every other year, unless surplus money is available.

These grants aim to foster community engagement through workshops, research, and interactive programming. Organizations with an annual budget of $1 million or less are prioritized, and funds can be used for training and collaboration efforts. The initiative emphasizes equitable growth and aims to strengthen organizations' capacities to serve diverse communities.

The William G. & Myrtle Hess Charitable Trust Grant supports Catholic charitable organizations in Oakland County, MI, with a focus on Waterford and White Lake Townships. This grant emphasizes education and scientific endeavors. Eligible applicants must be nonprofit organizations recognized under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS tax code, while individuals are not permitted to apply. This initiative aims to enhance community welfare through financial assistance to deserving causes.

Rotary Club of San Jose

The Rotary Club of San Jose is the largest, most active and well-known service organization in the community. We are a leadership organization working together to make a difference. Our members include local business, nonprofit, professional and civic leaders. We form lasting friendships through our shared Rotary experiences including weekly meetings with interesting speakers, committee meetings and projects, social events and group service projects within our community and internationally.

Community Grants

• The primary purpose of the Rotary Club of San Jose Foundation Community Grants is to assist nonprofit organizations serving the citizens of San Jose with grants up to $15,000 for specific, tangible and identifiable capital purchases. Recent examples include grants to purchase a commercial oven, refrigerator, computers (including peripherals), streaming equipment, and cameras.

• Grants up to $15,000 may also be made for small facility improvement projects of under $30,000 total. Recent examples include linoleum flooring, electrical upgrades, carpet and fences. The intent is to provide a grant that will serve the grantee for many years.

The New Lebanon Arts and Humanities Fund, managed by the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, aims to enrich the arts and humanities experiences for students and teachers in the New Lebanon School District. Grants ranging from $100 to $4,000 support diverse projects like extracurricular activities, visiting speakers, and professional development. The fund encourages community involvement while maintaining a strict non-discrimination policy. Nikon USA is dedicated to supporting innovative initiatives that align with its marketing strategies and community impact. They seek sponsorship proposals that demonstrate unique ideas, enhancing brand engagement and consumer reach. However, applicants must be over 18 and submit requests at least six months prior to their program. Nikon prioritizes USA-based entities and cannot support individual projects or certain causes. The Ariane Condellis Fellowship at the Gennadius Library supports Turkish nationals researching intercommunal relationships and social history during the Byzantine or Ottoman periods. The fellowship offers a stipend of $11,500, room and board, and requires full-time engagement in research from September 2026 to May 2027. The Gennadius Library, with over 150,000 titles, serves as a comprehensive resource for the study of Greek culture and history, enhancing academic exploration in these fields.

The Stateline Community Foundation offers Community Impact Grants aimed at enhancing the quality of life in the Stateline Area. Organizations eligible for funding must utilize the grants for programs and services that directly benefit the community. Letters of Inquiry are required five business days before the application deadline of December 15th. This initiative supports charitable efforts and fosters community development.

The American Research Institute in Turkey offers fellowships for graduate and post-doctoral research in the humanities and social sciences, focusing on projects conducted in Turkey. Eligible applicants include scholars and advanced graduate students researching ancient, medieval, or modern topics. Fellowships support tenures up to one academic year, with funding ranging from $2,500 to $15,500, providing vital resources and connections for academic endeavors.
